- I got to take a quick look at the new 2024 MSI Crosshair 16 HX at CES 2024. With a better build including a new cooling system that pushes hot air out the back at the top to deal with the heat generated from the Core i7-14700HX and up to an RTX 4070. The biggest upgrade though is the new display that is finally respectable: a 16" QHD+ 240Hz IPS panel which is far better than the one from previous generation. The new 24-zone RGB keyboard should allow for good customization without breaking the bank. Overall, this seems like a good set of changes and makes this a decent gaming laptop to watch out for.

Why does msi never tell you if its got gsync screen or not? It's always a huge deal. I found a great buy and drove an hour to microcenter and the guy was like yeah, no gsync.
They never include it in the last several years
I bought a nitro 17 and it had the 13th gen ddr5 4060 17.3 in and I was all excited to boot it up and drove it an hour back to microcenter because my dumb*** didn't even look to see if it wasn't 1080. IT WASNT. lol. it was 1440 and scaled miserably for runescape which isnt rendered in 1440p.. lol. It had advanced optimus it could do gsync if you enabled the mux switch. The screen came with a variable refresh rate. MSI, tho. yeh. duno why? They want you to buy an external monitor for that? Because I believe IT CAN do it. Just the screens they come with dont. @@GizmoSlipTech
Every manufacturers showed new lineup except Alienware?
Acer and alienware didn’t have a booth at CES as far as I am aware
What’s the point if it does not support g-sync? 💩
I would own a laptop without gsync. Really doesn’t do much unless the fps is sub 60, which doesn’t happen in any games with a laptop 4090 anyway currently at least. Maybe in the future it will happen more often.
Ofc it’s always the arsenal fans talking Willy nilly 🌚
msi needs to consider a new product designer cus these laptops looks dogshi, like if i were to get them for free i would sell these right away to get me alienware or asus laptops
