Jeff Gordon vs Jimmie Johnson 2011 Atlanta should definitely be on this list.
That was the only race I have ever seen in person and Gordon being my favorite driver it was a great race rain delay and all.

That Blaney finish was one of the best I saw. (The best I saw in my opinion is the 2017 coca cola 600 finish, because Austin Dillon is my favorite 👌)

Man, I miss going to Daytona for the 500 every year. Saw the 500 for about 10 years. What was formally called restrictor plate racing compared to NOTHING in person. Saw them before the COT, Bowyer cross upside down, saw a truck fly into the catch fence right in front of us, saw Jr. flip in the Busch race. Those were the good days.
I always thought #5 was awesome I know a lot of people hate on Kyle Busch but the way he came by on the outside was great. Took full of advantage of Hamlin and Logano slowing each other up.

The 2011 Talladega race is in my top 5 all time finishes. In fact it could number one but Kurt Busch and Craven at Darlington.
Man i remember watching that Talladega race like it was yesterday, i would of also put the 2011 Coca Cola 600 on this list.
Bro 2011 Talledega is the Nascar i miss. Look at all the two car tandems its so exciting to watch instead of a single file line
There were SO many fans that whined about the two car tandem racing when it first came around (because Nascar fans will bitch about any new changes). While I really liked the long trains of cars at speedways in the few years prior , the tandem racing was really great to watch too. In the few years prior to that, it always seemed that there wasn't ever a dominant lane. Whichever train was working the best together (top, bottom, middle) and had the most cars seemed to be the fastest. When the two car tandem racing went away, we never seemed to get back like it was before.

@@Cdub_socks I get what you're saying. But at that point in time, Watkins Glen was producing much better racing than Atlanta and the longevity of the battle as well you know. But easily can be 1-2 for both. 👍

The 2011 Atlanta Finish between Jeff and Jimmie is an absolute Historic battle for the ages. yes, the finish itself wasn't close. But the laps leading up to the last lap were standing room only.

I'm a Joey fan but I strongly believe he should have been benched for the 2013 season after what he did to Hamlin and the injuries Denny got. That was the most cowardly move I have seen in a long time. That was a race where I nearly ripped my support for Joey up and tossed it away.

No plate race should be on this list. It’s fixed racing, and of course the finishes will be close. It’d be hard to find a plate race finish that wasn’t close

I would have probably put the 2019 Kentucky race in the top 10. Probably would have taken out the 2010 Talladega race . Not to say that finish wasn't as exciting but probably not top 10 for me

This wasn’t that exciting of a finish...it was just the closest ever at the time. The 2003 Darlington race is the greatest nascar finish of all-time.

How could leave out Chase Elliott winning his first race in 2018 at Watkins Glen? That was one of the most exciting finishes ever. What a turd.
