    Hi
    Thanks for sharing your time and expertise
    Start with
    3 tsp a day of wheat or rice bran
    Wait 3 days or after day 3
    If you're going to bathroom to move bowels 1 or 2 x a day good keep at 3 tsp a day
    If not
    Keep adding 1 tsp of wheat or rice bran every 3 days until you begin moving bowels 2 to 3 x a day.
    Start low and slow
    Yes
    Chew your bran for best digestion

    Nice couple of ideas for bran but the first one with banana, nuts, yoghurt is so full of fibre it would shift anything at all.
    As I can be overly sensitive, various food intolerances plague me, I'm going to start with 1 tablespoon in the egg omelette and hope to build up to 3!

    Nice video. I see one of your recipe pics is a fresh salad. Do you just sprinkle the wheat bran over it:? Can it be eaten dry, or must it be soaked first?

    Amazing! You even know diverticulosis. Obviously, eating wheat bran regularly should prevent diverticula.

      Eating wheat bran correctly sure does prevent diverticula. It can also alleviate pain and discomfort for people that have already develooped the disease. Bran helps prevent many chronic illnesses. I've been eating it every day for the past 44 years! I never get sick!

    Thank you. But why you didn't cook the wheat bran.

    • @foodandfeelings1624
      @foodandfeelings1624 5 лет назад +1

      It's not necessary. I eat it raw with mashed banana. When I make the "bran pancakes" I cook it. It tasted good both ways and is also good for you both ways. That's the good thing about bran, it won't lose nutritive value if you cook it. It works well for your organism no matter what! Make sure you drink enough water if you are eating bran regularly.

    Is it the same as oat bran? I started eating it.

    • @foodandfeelings1624
      @foodandfeelings1624 5 лет назад +2

      Hi Joey. No. Wheat bran is different. It has less calories than oat bran and is more effective in terms of stimulating peristalsis which is an intestinal movement that eliminates the waste matter and has you going to the bathroom regularly. Oat bran is great as well, it's a matter of finding out which works better for you.

    • @foodandfeelings1624

      Hi. What I do is add bran to my oatmeal. I love to eat it that way. I mix 1 cup water with 1/3 cup rolled oats, 2 tablespoons of bran, 1/2 teaspoon cinamon, 1 banana sliced, and a few raisins. I bring it to a boil, lower the heat and let is simmer about 5 minutes. Delicious!! If you want it sweeter you can drizzle honey on top.

    • @labourerplop5034

      Food and Feelings is 1/3 third of rolled oats 5 tablespoons because when I measured 5 heaped tablespoons of oats it came to 48 grams

    Your slightly wrong there digestion is different for everyone there’s nothing wrong with you if you don’t go number 2 everyday , everyday is good if not ideal but every other day is average and it truly is different for everyone some people go number 2 up to 5 6 even 7 times a day but once every other day is fine if not go to the doctor for constipation they will prescribe something most likely called lactoloose it’s not a laxative it just re hydrates the bowl and allows things to move easier maybe in more serious cases other items will be prescribed along side to act as a laxative while re hydrating the bowl for bacteria in the stun (bad bacteria) building your probiotic is a good idea you can opt for bacteria (good bacteria) filled yogurts but honestly it’s probably better to eat some pickled items such as pickled eggs pickled onions pickles and things along these lines to build up that layer of good bacteria in your stomach bran cereal “processed crap” will still actually help create a good well working gut just the same as pure bran but it’s important to keep a balanced and varied died lots of grease will never help anyone feel good drink plenty of water and juices and they provide sugars and other things you need to keep you going through the day

    You must be on the toilet all day, just started eating bran it’s awesome stuff, put in my smoothie one cup banana protein powder cocao powder peanut butter, stevia, bingo

    • @foodandfeelings3622
      @foodandfeelings3622  5 лет назад +8

      Not true Sam. If you eat bran correctly your digestive system normalizes. It's totally natural to "sit on the toilet" twice to three times a day. My first time students have reported 3 days to two weeks, not being able to go "number two." When they eat bran as I instruct, in a week they are doing great and feeling great. If you are "on the toilet" all day, it's not because of eating bran as I explain here. Also...I stick to all natural ingredients. I don't know what banana protein is...I would eat a natural banana instead. Stevia is a controversial issue. If you are concerned about weight loss, it's better to count on the sweetness that comes with natural fruits. I'm glad you are eating bran. You're on the right track to optimum health!

    • @foodandfeelings1624

      Hi. You would have to eat a very large amount of bran to provoke some kind of mineral deficiency and also you would have to be eating a very unbalanced diet in general for this to occur. I have been eating more than 1/2 a cup a day of bran for the past 45 years of my life and I never get sick! If I do, it's something light and always has to do with some emotional stress I'm experiencing or creating in myself. Bran is not for everyone. For instance, those who are celiacs and abstain for all wheat products should substitute with a different source of fiber like linseed, etc.
