We have the 2016 Vegas 24.1 and yes the awning does tilt...On the front and back awning arms there is a silver looking push button close to the awning arm gas struts....Push the button in and pull down on the arm closest to the end of the awning and then do the same to the other end of awning.. You Will see 5 or 6 holes to where you can adjust the awning on each arm.... It is recommended to not adjust to where you have more then 2 holes different from the front and back arms....This is how you tilt your awning for water run off and to give you more shade.....Remember to adjust your arms back to the top position before you put your awning in.....Good luck, Tony

Dana Taft we really love the new better to but yeah we loved our old one as well. The room in the new one is hard to beat. Plus my fat butt can fit in the shower in the new one. Lol

Wow, we were looking at some class B plus models before we bought our 1999 Roadtrek Camper van to renovate and get on the road... Love the battery upgrades... We are jealous...
We just are not good at driving class As... but wow the space
Prior to this I had never driven anything this size. It being a smaller class A it is easier to drive. Plus better on gas. You could do it no problem.
Camper Life We are gonna practice now with our Dodge.. then more to a newer RV- image smashing your house after all that work... ouch! Ha ... We found 1 used class A that was in our price range... but it was just too long to fit in a regular parking space.... But it was a real 4 seasons because all
the tanks were inside!!
Justin & Christina Yeah my goal is to never go above a 30 foot. I think that helps with getting into pretty much all sites. The bigger you go the harder it is to get some sites sometimes. Especially at state and nation parks.

When I go full time soon I’ll more than likely (since it’ll just be me) be buying a Pleasureway Lexor TS built on the Promaster platform. I really would prefer a totally stealth standard Promaster with a build out on the inside, but, I have found out that builders in every state that do these builds are so booked up its unreal…and, when I get ready to go I wanna GO!…I’ve been sitting stationary for five years after retiring from 38 years OTR trucking. I yearn to burn up some much awaited open road again! Always look forward to another video y’all have made! Stay safe and God Bless!
Thank you. This was our first rig and we really enjoyed. Thor gets a bad name but we really had no issues with this rig. Those Pleasureway's are very nice. I am like you I go crazy when stationary. I like to move around a lot. Which makes this lifestyle perfect for me. I bet being a truck driver it was very hard to slow down. Look forward to you getting back out here and meeting you on the road. Thank you so much for all the support you have shown my channel. @@TOTALLYRELAXED Yeah that would be very hard going from 100 to 0 like that. That is a good thing that this time it is on our terms and your destinations you want, not work. Can't wait to see things work out for your. I love the road life for sure. Nothing like it.
Great video and explanations...I love the cabinet designed you did. got a 25.3 what batteries can they be replaced with?
Are you wanting to replace the drive battery or the house batteries? If the drive then any deep cycle RV/Marine battery will work. If you want to do the house then you can do the same style of battery as the drive or go with AGM which is the middle grade and cost more, or lithium which is what I am about to do and cost around 1k per battery but are the best you can get. Thank you for your input, will change engine batt. this weekend. Also, are your head lights dim st night? Mines do not light the road much as they are yellow. I dont use it at night for yhis reason.Thanks again looking forward for future videos.
@@travel4you573 We have actually sold that RV now but yes I remember them being dim and pointing straight instead of down on the road. On your batt change I have a video on doing that as well. It is not a super easy process but is not to bad either. It is the very first video I ever made. Hope it helps you.

Just need to know how it is with table in. Distance from couch to the bottom of the table and the table height.
Hello Kim, thank you for the kind words and watching. The table on the couch side is pretty close. You can easily use it for eating and things like that. On the hallway side there is plenty of room to get by. I found the height to be about right for sitting on the couch as well. I know each person could be a little different. I would highly recommend finding one close by and going to check things out in person. Overall we really loved this rig. We did move on to something a little bigger but this was an amazing rig. I am interested in removing the sofa have you done this or know how to? I am purchasing a 2022. Thank you.
The sofa in the one I had came apart in the center. You would need to confirm that it does in the news ones as well. As long as it does than you can get it out the door very easy. You just start with the top of the couch going out first and the back of the to the same side as the door opens to. Then as you are removing swing it opposite the door and twist it out. If you can confirm it comes apart feel free to email me if you want to talk through the steps. Will be glad to help all I can. What are you hoping to put back in there?

Great video ! Am doing my research on the 24.1, and doing the Tampa show in Jan, '20 also . Having watched you do the battery swap , led me to wonder if you could move battery to compartment next to entry step ? Some new wires hooked together, good to go ? Not sure if battery would fit having not seen the actual compartment, beef it up, slide it in. Just a thought ! All the best and happy motoring ! Pappy T
Your house batteries are actually located there so I agree not sure there would be room. It for sure it is hard to get to. We actually just traded ours for a 2018 Newmar. I will say though we loved our 24.1 just needed more room and got a great deal. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I will help all I can. If you get one you will enjoy.
Great video! My wife and I are getting ready to look at a 2015 Thor Axis 24.1. We absolutely love the look of it and it is just us and our two pups so the size looks perfect. What size A/C did yours have? Thanks again, we are newbies to the RV life, so learning as much as I can!

Sorry I forgot to answer your question the AC was a 13.5 ton ac. Worked pretty good unless it got above 90 or so.
Install an omniderectional dipole antenna no need to dial up anything

Hey sorry for the slow response. You are very welcome on the information. The 24.1 is a great rig. We do not have ours anymore. We went into something bigger to have more room. However I do talk to the current owners from time to time. We loved our Thor. It did use really well. We never had any big issues out of it and it was super easy to drive. Plus with the 450 motor had plenty of power on it. The biggest complaint was making the bed. With it wall to wall that can get hard. Hi. I see that you’ve upgraded to a much bigger RV, but I’m curious on what was your average MPG on your previous 24.1 Thor. What about on your new one? Thanks in advance.
On the Thor we averaged about 11 to 13 miles to the gallon. On the new one we get 7 to 9 miles per gallon. Both are very good RV's are great. We just needed more room so upgraded. Please let me know if you any other questions.

What is the Cargo Carrying Capacity of the Axis 24.1?
If I remember right I think it was around 1400 pounds. We never really even got close to that even when full timing in it. Overall a very nice rig.

Any leaks or any issues whatsoever with the motorhome since purchase?
Hey Benny, we no longer have this rig, but did have one leak while owning it. I did a video showing it. Other than the one though never had a another. The biggest thing is taking care of the roof and any brand. Overall we really liked the rig just needed something bigger at the time. Other than that and a dead drive battery which was my fault we never had any issues at all with this rig. We loved it. Please feel free to ask any other questions I may be able to help with.
