You have a very trusting voice...not in a way i would feel comfortable trusting you with my child....but feel like u know what ur doing when you talk about these blades.
Great run down of detachable blade options. I have invested in a complete set of Oster detachable blades, including a flattop blade. Coupled with an Oster Titan and Model 10, this is a pretty expensive system designed to last and the results are very good. Nice smooth haircutting. I find detachable blades are durable, quickly attachable/detachable well performing blades. They do need a little loving. I deal with a very good blade technician who sharpens and adjust my blades on regularly. The secret weapon is the 1A and the 0A blades. Just the right difference in depth to get that taper or fade nice and smooth.
I would suggest the 4FC blade ATG (against the grain). This isn't a blade most have but I do because I have seen how easy it is to perform the desired cut with just this one blade and a trimmer. the "FC" stand for a finished cut. It had been used on show dog groomers in the past but some barbers like myself have seen the advantage this blades design gives over other guards and blades. Look at the teeth and you will see what I mean. A very smooth cut www.ebay.com/itm/Andis-64123-Size-4FC-Ultra-Edge-Detachable-Blade-/282499615778?hash=item41c64a0c22:g:B9QAAOSwIQdZLHFm
Sorry but I failed to include the 000000 (six ot blade) Have one to sell? Sell now Testina Thrive size "000000" = 0.05 mm you can purchase it here: www.ebay.com/itm/351771965691?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Yes and NO! This blade is actually a surgical blade primarily used to shaping mohawks, afros and beards too. Unlike the standard OA, the OA/FD should not be used to fade or used on a clients skin area. If you have the ability to purchase one you will love it

TheExpatStylist yes. i meant its also called an 'OA modified'. if you buy it by oster. i have one. its a shaping blade.
You mean "Modified OA" yes they are the same but some prefer the OA/FD because it seems to cut closer and has a warning on it (NO Scalp)
just saying it has 2 names.. 'OA FD ' or 'OA modified'
TheExpatStylist yes! sorry. modified OA
