been doing refills on those disposable 1 pound propane bottles for decades and never had a problem EVER. They are safe for a sale then they are same for a refill.

If you have used that tank before then that's not air coming out of the valve it's propane gas. The pressure in the tank is what keeps the propane in liquid form. Once all of the liquid propane in the tank has turned to gas, from you using the tank, the remaining gas in the tank is propane. Be sure not to vent that much gas near any open flames and do this outside. Propane is heavier than air so on a calm day it will gather at your feet while dispersing in the atmosphere. Loved the blower video btw! Thanks.

LOL!! that what I thought! until one bulge on me! and that coleman tank was probably refilled around 15 times plus. It wasn't overfil and under 14oz of propane. I never refill it to its fullest know gas expands. It wasn't until summer time I check my garage that I found one of the coleman tanks about to burst open. the other a dozen I have that factory new doesn't have any bulge or degration. Which mean over constant usage and refill the tanks will eventually give out... The question is are you willing to risk having a tank blow up on you... Most of the time the tanks leak and you throw them away...
Anyways! for me its not worth the risk, if I refill them now I'm only going up to 5 refill and mark them and tossing them.. to save a few buck. Your taking uncessary risk. but I'm glad I bought flame king refillable. they are a minimum double the heft and weigh of the standard 1 pound propane tanks. just my 2 cents

You wish the flame king tanks were $7 bucks . I ordered them through Amazon 3 different times they refunded my money I never got them . I ordered them through a different company $25 bucks each and don’t forget they come empty . I still think they might be good but pricey . The standard green tanks if you fill them keep track of the weight so you never over fill them . And don’t pull on that valve instead just use a pen or screwdriver push the center of where your threads are and let out the air but keep track of the weight so you do not over fill . It’s not illegal to refill them only to transport them .
