It really is. Someone actually made a computer program to use calculate the consistency of the deck they made. You need to be a god damn programmer to play this game apparently.
dude what a small world. ive been fan of cowchop/the creatures for 10 years but just became a fan of team aps this month and to see them crossover is so amazing
That was an extremely entertaining video, sad to see that they don’t make videos anymore. Not painful to watch at all clearly meant as a joke if the wigs didn’t make it obvious.
5d's was only good during season 1 and the 2nd half of season 2(after wrgp starts) tho, before that it's just boring filler featuring forgettable one off characters...
"I use mystical space to counter your dark hole!" Me: **So many flashbacks to trying to explain destroying a card only counters it's effect in some instances** -.-;; Literally from middle through high school and little of duel links of me face palming and being like "Thank goodness we don't have text chat in this or I would be calling you a FUCKING MORON!" XD Though when he used Darkhole from the hand was a funny one too. If only we had board wipes that were hand traps too. Alas weirdly even the TCG isn't that broken..yet.
I believe that the dark hole was used on his turn and not on his opponents turn that was just a cut because they said mst was a quick play and his opponent normal summoned again
I remember my friends and I also had trouble with the “official” rules in 2002. The show was so broken that time since it was the Duelist Kingdom arc and we only had that to base gameplay off of. We used to set cards face down in attack position, set multiple cards face down since we thought it wasn’t considered as a summon as long as it was face down, and we didn’t even tribute to summon 5 star+ monsters. We would even use De-spell cards as quick plays. Plus, our decks were stacked like Big Mac burgers because we had like 80+ cards per deck. We were so lost, but we still had loads of fun.
You said at first that this would be cringy, but I ended up actually enjoying it a lot. I love seeing adults bring back yugioh and do playground rules and say funny shit about the game. I never really cared about people like that getting the rules wrong, they look like they're having so much fun
The first part in the video to make my laugh was when he's like "wait a minute!" and tries to MST negate. IT was so hilarious how many people screwed that up in the past. Your face was priceless when he flipped that.
Damn it's so awesome to see some cowchop again. This is the first time ive watched anything since the channel ended, its just been too sad. I miss it tremendously :( Thank you for reacting to this my guy, its super nice to see someone else experience the insanity that i loved so much for those years :) However cringey it may be :D RIP
man what a small world. 11 months ago i saw this video on the cowchop subreddit and came here to lowkey hate on how critical you were being on them just having fun and joke around. now after your hot sauce video last month im a fan and going back through your videos i now remember it was you who did this video. it's such a blast from the past seeing my 11 month old comment but only being a fan of yall for the last month or so.
That was very, very, VERY amusing. That was well done, and very hilarious to see. Your little comments here and there made it even better. Now, as for reaction videos, react to "Cell vs Yugi," which is part of the "Cell vs" series. He fights against people before the Cell Games start, but they are people from different anime universes, ooooorrrrrr... *React to one of your OWN Yugioh skits!* That would be something to see. React to an old or new skit you did, and give us your thoughts. (If it is an old one, think of it as a walk down memory lane and a way to see how far you've come.)
I also find that moment where you stall and still get nothing to be relatable. Swords of Revealing Light was my most used card because I built and shuffled my deck poorly.
It's stuff like this that always makes me realise this game is a LOT more complex than we give it credit for. Having played it my entire life, it's all second nature. But trying to teach someone, or watching someone who's learning, really highlights how confusing it is to try and remember what all ten kinds of summon are and which are considered "Normal" and which are "Special", and why the Battle Phase is the only phase with 4 sub-phases, and the whole If vs When thing (Card language is something new players really struggle with), and all that.
There's a lot of stuff that bloats and unnecesarrily overcomplicates Yugioh. Stuff like missing the timing and how even one word in a phrase being different can ruin a combo are just bad game design really. Yugioh is still fun, no question, but yeah it has some of the most inconsistent and overbloated rules in all of trading card history.
The funny thing is that at my locals, back when I played Superheavy Samurais like the casual scrub I am, people usually did ask if their monsters would get destroyed if their atk was lower than my monsters high def. So that much I have seen legit happen.
I don't recall Quattro from Arc V, but he was on Zexal, he plays the gimmick puppets, i think that they had to do all of that for the memes, because they had the theme music and everything just my thoughts
I was lucky in the early Yu-Gi-Oh! days. I got the video game which forced your actions and card effects to follow the rules, so I was always the one person playing correctly and teaching my peers. I still kicked everybody's ass too lmao. People would run too many high tribute monsters in their decks and one friend I had would run 60+ card decks like 100 I think? This was back before a size cap was implemented. That 100+ card player would lose consistently against me for a couple years until one day he got cyber dragons and finally started playing seriously. He's always OTK with Cyber end and I was always too poor in comparison to afford good cards. I did manage to make a comeback kicking his ass with a Chaos deck when I ordered singles online ^_^
This is maybe a way to teach new players (I don't play the game so I would like feedback) Describe the Banlist Main/Extra/Side deck limit Introduce basic plays (Normal/Special Summoning, Spells, Traps, whatever else is basic) Ritual/Fusion Summoning (since both need spells most of the time) Synchro Summoning (includes lessons on Tuner's) Xyz Summoning Master Rule 3 (forget about Master Rules 1 and 2 since they just add monsters to the extra deck) Pendulum Summoning Master Rule 4 Link Summoning Master Rule 5
Omg I saw cow chop. Back in your older videos I was recommending animations like they do here they do them for all board/ card games they play. It helps follow the narrative of what’s happening. Then again they had a team of editors and interns editing for them
Blue Hair: Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon. That’s literally the name of the card. Paul: Literally the best card name in the game. Blue Hair: The stupidest name I’ve ever heard for a card in my life. Paul: He’s wrong. ... Actually, no, he’s right.
Okay, I need to address this misnomer about the anime. While it definitely had different rulings and game mechanics, as it was based off the card game that Yu-Gi-Oh! card game is adapted from, they never activated Spells/Traps like that (with one exception). Most times, the issues came from the card being a Trap/Spell, when it appeared in the anime, and Konami changing it into a Spell/Trap in real life. 4Kids would even recolour the cards in the dub, to make them match Konami's alteration. In Yugi's duel with Kaiba at the end of the Battle City arch, they did use Spells like Quick-Plays, even if they weren't. Anime rules? No. Kaiba had used a Spell card that allowed players to treat ALL Spells as Quick-Play.
everyone just likes to misremember how the anime played some cards as if it was pure anarchy because it's funny to look back at it that way, but in reality if anything it was that they always had a very specific situational card that they just drew and played in order to counter their opponent. The show was actually pretty bland and predictable but we all remember it differently because we were kids.
I know they said it would be cringe but it's pretty entertaining. It's just players returning to the game in 2020 but only after watching the anime and never learning the rules. Also "MST negates" classic.
ive seen another video of two guys trying to learn to play yugioh with these same decks, and its even worse. they couldnt agree on how dark hole works. they apparently didnt know that not all spells are quick play, and dude was trying to flip dark hole during his opponents turn and neither of them knew if he could do that or not.
To be fair, he HAD just summoned Neo the Magic Swordsman in his Main Phase, which means he can't tribute summon in his Main Phase 2. Maybe that's what he meant?
*Hey guys! Thanks for watching this new video, I hope you all enjoyed this very weird duel as much as I did! Drop a Like!* 👍🏾

You guys should do Funhaus vs Achievement Hunter since you’re covering Rooster Teeth owned groups!
What I meant is that Funhaus and Achievement Hunter also dueled.
In the show they don’t use a coin flip, because it’s just whoever yells ‘I DRAW!’ first goes
Must be awkward whenever two guys yell at the same time and then fight over who yelled first.
I always thought it was the one who was challenged got to choose. Maybe giving them too much credit though.
@@christophermiller7466 Interesting, I'll have to pay attention to that next time I watch. I know it can't always be the case because of situations like tournaments with pre made match ups where there is no challenger
