Hope you guys enjoy part 1 where we get an aneurysm trying to read & interpret these fake cards for you y'all!! Like the video & be on the lookout for part 2 where we say "screw the rules, I've got perspective"
Idea; you guys gotta play a dual AGAINST the Magic guy. Give him a stock deck, then you use a fake deck and play it as straight as possible to see if he figures it out
I liked where they read "Moisture Man", where they said, "yeah this seems like the most sane card so far" and forget to overlook that it has like 28300 ATK😅
As a kid, my cousin convinced me that they were real, but that they were what the cards looked like in China. Was definitely an interesting day when I found out they were just fake lol.
I remember a kid had a fake japanese Zera the mant and archfiend of gilfer and I thought they were so cool I stole them then I found out they were fake but I still thought they looked cool I still have my fake egyptian god cards
I had these ones and the real ones as a kid. I got the real ones first, but then these fake ones started appearing in stores. So I got my mom to buy them, because I thought they were new edition cards or something. It took me a while to figure out they were fake. I think a friend told me when I showed them to him. I ended up throwing all the fake ones away because I was so mad.
Alec's Face when he saw it was a Black Man-Eating Shark instead of Man-Eating Black Shark was too funny. XD My poor boy Trell though trying to keep track of that crazy effect and read it so it makes sense...He is not paid enough to get migraines from these terrible lazy copy cat cards. Though it does make me realize something: these have mostly been older cards from the early 2000s . Did the practice fall off? I know knock offs of anime stuff is still a thing. Heck there's some stores around where I live where you could find stuff like that I would be willing to bet.
There's actually a "man-eating black shark" it's a 2100 attack fusion that requires three different specific materials and has no effect, which is almost as hilarious as the fake card. XD
Yo I had a whole fake Yu-Gi-Oh card phase in my childhood that I still can't believe was real. It felt like a fever dream. I don't remember how many fake cards I made my poor mom buy me, but it was a lot! There were the fake God cards, fake Exodia cards, fake everything! It was crazy! And the worst part is I ended up throwing them all away anyways, because I showed them to a friend and he told me they were fake and not worth keeping.
Oh my god the shark 😂 It's definitely just the color of the creature itself but I can see how that could be interpreted to be pretty damn offensive. Great fun as usual guys, this was a terrible yet interesting card selection lol
I remember fake yugioh cards in the early 2000s looking exactly like some of these cards. An extra 0 to the attack and defence points, having the wrong name, wrong border color and having that shiny star on the cards. The best one I saw was a exodia (full form) with infinite attack and defence points.
I remember those from back then. My Mom went into a store and bought a suspiciously cheap ''starter deck'' of Yu-Gi-Oh Cards. Of course i immediately knew they were fake when opening them. Same with the cheap shine and the big font and grammar mistakes, terrible :D I think we all got tricked by them atleast once and traded a real card for them. 7:09 is one of the cards that were in there
These fake card duels are my favorite videos that you guys put out, mainly due to having to interpret the cards in a way that massively benefits you. Maybe one day you can do these duels with the random rules for ultimate chaos. Edit: Damn, should've finished watching the video before commenting, looking forward to the duel coming up.
A school fiend of mine had 4 different dark master cards that had infinity attack and defence. Needless to say, he dominated the school playground 😂 we played with the ‘anything goes’ mentality with 100 card decks
I know I'm late to this, but I remember going to New York back when I was like 7, and Yu-gi-oh was becoming the newest big thing alongside Pokémon (due in large part to the Anime of both franchises). In New York there were massive fold-out tables where people were selling fake Yugioh Cards, that were obviously completely fake (wrong card-backs, a weird texture to the front, etc.) both myself and my Step-brother were into the card game at the time and so we convinced our parents to buy us each one of the Fake God Cards. I don't ever remember what happened to my fake Obelisk, it might still be in a drawer at my dad's place. It was a very very strange time in my life.
Bro I lived in NYC my whole life and that whole fake Yu-Gi-Oh card phase of my life felt like a fever dream! I still can't believe I forced my mom to buy me fake cards. So embarrassing looking back at it now especially since I ended up throwing them all away anyways.
Growing up, lot of kids at my elementary school (myself included) had at least a few of these kinds of fake cards in our collections. We just didn't know how to recognize fake cards and just assumed they looked the way they did because they were old cards.
These cards read like they took the OCG cards, ran them through Google translate and called it a day. Classic. Would love to see more of this for the luls
LOVE THIS STYLE OF VIDEOS!!! You guys could even merge them all together and make this an hour long video, granted a few niche amount of us would love it ober others, but we'd really enjoy it! Hour+ long of fake yugioh discussion and card comparrison with the deck build and best 2 out of 3. Itd be an awesome video!
Jeez, this is a trip down memory lane Had, and still have, some fake cards myself, and I KNOW when I was a kid, I definitely tried playing with them back then
I like how Fruis Black Flame Dragon Lv 4 asks you to _please_ send it to the graveyard. The last line of that effect about summoning from paper card sounds as if they were instructing you to summon an actual monster from the cardboard, just as in the Duel Monsters story.
Oh yeah, I have like... two, three thousands of these fake cards in my drawer. They were cheaper and easier to find that original cards here in Argentina before, so as a kid... well, we played with these. We knew they were fake, but as long as we could play them, we were ok with that. We could also make our own effects too, it could get really toxic hahahah! Great video, I can't wait to see the duels hahah!
Oh man here in Uruguay, me and my friends had these but nobody even knew how a legit card looked, we didnt knew they were fake. There were some "good" fakes that worked just as the legit ones. Then there were some very obviously fake broken bad quality text/picture that we wouldnt use.
It's been a long time since I've played Yugioh (think duelists of the roses) but I'm pretty sure there's a Man-Eating Black Shark that was a fusion card so at least they were close on that one
If you guys think Black Man-Eating Shark is bad, you should see the infamous fake of Elemental Hero Necroid Shaman from back in the day. It was called "Elemental Hero N***o Blackman."
I happened to stumble on your channel by complete accident, I haven't played YuGiOh since GX was still in season 2. I continued the series but stopped dueling after losing my cards. Looking back it makes me so mad, I had so many cards that would be rare today. Anyways, I just bought cards again for the first time in years and I plan on building decks and dueling again. Thanks for reminding me how awesome this game is. I don't know about any of the stuff after GX, heard it has gotten pretty complex now but that's OK, I'll pick it up I'm sure.
Trell's a legend, honestly, that story about the fake cards and trading him real ones. Trell probably made that kids whole week, if that kids anything like I was, kids got those cards in sleeves, looking at them every once in a while and thinking of this saint's generosity. Not even joking, my ex sent me 2 cards from Germany, Swords of Revealing Light and Dust Tornado, they're in German so I can only understand like 1/3rd of the cards but they're in a gold and pink sleeve, Pink for swords and Gold for Tornada and I love them 2 cards so much as well as the Tyranno Superconductor my friend gave me, it's in pretty bad shape, but not bent and the edges are still pretty good. But the one I miss the most was my blue Swordstalker, I got it given to me by a friend and was my first ever card. I would literally give so much just to have that specific card in my possession again, not a replacement, the well loved original lol
I have a full deck of Spanish fake cards. I got them as a kid thinking they were real. Same sparkle effects as shown in this video too. I then found four legit English cards in my attic. My heart was broken haha
Ah yes, I remember when people was furious with Konami after they released the highly controversial Black man-eating shark. Those were truly the dark times 🤣
*Thanks to everyone who sent in these awful fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards for us to try out in this video. We really hate them!* 😭
Lol

As a kid, my cousin convinced me that they were real, but that they were what the cards looked like in China. Was definitely an interesting day when I found out they were just fake lol.
I was one of them unfortunately lol. In my defense, I didn't know they were fake. I was told they were by my mates, and yeah they were right.
I remember a kid had a fake japanese Zera the mant and archfiend of gilfer and I thought they were so cool I stole them then I found out they were fake but I still thought they looked cool I still have my fake egyptian god cards
