Trell is a beast duelist, idk if I’ve ever seen him lose in these videos
He places top 8 in tournaments often enough. So his game knowledge has to be high so as to know what he'll be facing.
He's also been playing the longest with the least amount of breaks in the crew. His deck building is to win most of the time. The house speed duels were another good example of him just mopping the floor with everyone.
I love this pair, they're such similar type of personalities but just different speeds lol.

Honestly this is my favorite channel on RUclips. I loved yugioh growing up but in high school I kinda lost interest but I would play old tag force games on emulators from time to time. This channel really got me back into yugioh and I’m just starting to build a deck to play at a local card shop tournament
Its been 20 years since I've played. So many new characters and spells. Its crazy. Im building my collection as well. God bless

trell is a very smart duelist, he definitely knows how to build a good deck. But Larries attempt at building a more modern combo deck was also good. I was kinda surprised how good it worked, but with that limited card pool building a more simple deck is the better strategy

It'd be fun to see this challenge again but with a twist - like they have to draw from a hat of random modifiers like "Only Allowed to get Fire Attribute Monsters" or "Must Buy 3 booster packs from Power of the Elements" or "Budget extended by 5 dollars" etc etc.

Id love to watch another version of this. With $100 budget but $20-30 on singles and $70-80 on boosters. This is so both players can showcase their deck building skills while slightly relying on luck haha
Yeah, I think a cap on how much you can spend on singles would make it a lot more balanced. Force Trell to open more packs!

I always debated on coming back to YuGiOh but seeing how it’s played nowadays I decided not to. Watching your videos is satisfying for me to still see how the game is played without actually getting back into it and I feel like that’s enough for me.

It's actually possible to win this Challenge and be under budget. While they can't buy the Structure Deck's, they could get Specific Cards for the Engine....
yeah I feel like there are plenty of older ex meta strats that would still perform very well under this ruleset
@@mark1A100 I mean, it took me a little bit to get what I needed for my Branded Dark World (I was, however, taking my time doing it), but aside from the New Cards in the Structure, It costed me....maybe 20 bucks and change ( and the majority of that was the Branded stuff). It's not a difficult thing to do really and it would've been a fantastic Fusion Engine without going broke or over budget for ...
I loved the video, and also the design for the scoreboards was great. Camera angles were all awesome too, Trell talking so much to the camera about the game was helpful too.

The last set I played/bought was when the elemental heroes were a thing back in the day. It's crazy to see all those foils when you'd be super lucky to even get a basic rare back in the day.

I've recently got back into yugioh but do not enjoy the way it seems be played, ie, the meta. You're videos have shown me and my friends fun ways to play yugioh but after not following the card game since we were in school we all struggle to know what cards are available to make fun decks with. We love your god card series and would realy like to recreate them but can't find the deck lists you used for these duels anywhere. If these deck lists are put there could you point me in the right direction and if they are not could you make videos or just share these deck lists as we would love tomplay them and I'm sure many others would too.

If you do this again, definitely buy ONE structure deck each, and then use packs to try to improve it. I would say you can buy singles, but that would make it too easy for the decks to be overpowered.
The water duelist pack was 100% the way to go. Nearly all the Marincess stuff is common and you could've EASILY built a kickass deck with $100
I liked this challenge. It makes you think under pressure, which is something you have to do in big tournaments like YCSs, Nationals and regionals. Basically, this is good practice

I wish they would do a dual academy for old players wanting to get back into the game. Like pay $1,000 for a week of yugioh classes taught by them. I wanna get back into the game and I understand all the new summoning mechanics, but with these long combos and so many card effects to mix and match I just get lost and confused and need help to catch up.

I'd implement the rule if you buy a structure deck you also have to mod it with cards someone not competing picks 🤣

Mad respect to Trell to just try and keep it simple, you can find not as good cards but can work compared to trying to find the absolute best and especially for a 100$ budget.
I think doing a budget $50-100 boosters only would be fun, but they can only buy a limit of each pack.

I loved the video guys, it was super funny but there's something wrong that happened during the second duel, Larry used book of eclipse and the token was not effected by it and unfortunately for Trell tokens are effected by it cause instead of being flipped face down they simply leave the field. I didn't do it just to be the boring guy I thought it was a good act. As always I'll keep following you guys cause this is the best Yu-Gi-Oh channel ever
I would have played Wind Based Yosenju. I say wind based because I play other mother's that's wind monsters. Winter bell opens you up to lv 5 and 7 synchro's easily. Use light synchro's and make pleades

Tbh I has to stop the video like a minute into the dual. I stopped playing so long ago that I have no idea what the pendulum arctype is. I love rare hunters because they are still pulling from packs where I know how things work. Also a fan of Larry in the hole because I don’t need to know how things work to watch him pull packs. Maybe some videos just aren’t for me or maybe I should just go look up a video tutorial. Idk. Anyway love the videos!
I started playing yu go oh after 15 years and now I’m 24 having. A last learning how to play can’t wait to pass it down. This channel is the best for the duel channnel
So on one of your videos I heard someone talk about Kajudo….now obviously it’s a dead game however I bought 8 boxes and lots of decks all of which have just been sitting collecting dust. I say give them 20 bucks for 5 weeks(episodes) first day they can buy whatver to make a beginning. And al the other weeks they can open packs to make their deck stronger however they desire if it in the 20 bucks

Make a video where they each have to build a deck on a certain budget but right when they are about to duel and roll for start make them swap decks, so they have no idea what's in the deck

have you guys ever thought to allow for a rule where you could trade one card with each other? if there was a card you were really looking for if you thought they had it you could ask if they did. then you could trade one and only one time and only one card.
