Everyone sykkuno played against had a shitty starter dragon deck, where monsters dont even have any effects on them, while he has his patented synchro summon deck. No matter how good you play, you aint beating his deck with a starter deck

in ocg you can technically negate the opponents surrender, well not really, but your opponent cant scoop if they're being attacked by a lethal damage victory dragon, VD is banned in tcg because people can just scoop whenever.

that was a pretty fast turn for a synchro deck usually i can get my laudry done cook all my meals for the week wash up go grocery shopping and rebuild my entire house before theyve finished their first turn
I had a similar experience. Except it was at a locals v. Zoodiacs where the guy shuffled his deck for like 5 minutes after every search, then won on time.
You know what would be really busted? With how many “Star” dragon synchro monsters around that loves negation, Konami needs to come up with one that negates the opponent’s surrender.

sykunno's deck isn't winning a YCS but you could take it and do fairly well at locals. It just got support cards last year so its somewhat modern.
