Hey Wayne. The vacuum line coming from the check valve that works the outside flapper door is tied into the back of the intake. Use a T if you have power brakes. Hope this helps. I will post a video.

How does the engine breathe when the flap is closed? Is the cowl open all the time and the flap just adds more air intake? How/when does the inner door operate? Does the inner door operate in tandem with the outer door?
Hey Greg the engine breaths through the snorkel on the air cleaner. Yes the flap opens when the secondaries on the carb starts to open. The inner door opens by a switch connected to the gas pedal as the pedal is pushed down it will open. Yes they work at the same time just the flapper works off engine vacuum and the inside door works from electric signal from gas pedal.
