Under ‘Key Commands’ in Logic’s main menu scroll to ➡️Edit...➡️click ‘functions gear’ in the upper left corner scroll to ➡️ ‘Copy Key Commands to Clipboard’➡️ open a word processor and paste. And now you have a PDF of all or some of Logic’s Key Commands.
Love this! The only one I use that’s not in here is Shift M which selects all muted regions. I love it for quick cleanup of my projects.
Thanks Cris! Your the G.O.A.T of LPX
(Greatest Of All Time) just in case someone needs the achro key)
Cmnd option A - new audio track, cmnd option S - new instrument track, cmnd option U - new drummer track
Perfect focused video! Not too much talking like hundred others! Instead, right to the meat!
Congrats!!!
Love this as I doo all of your Logic vids! Any chance of a PDF cheatsheet of these commands?
Wow, Thanks my friend. I hope you are well compensated for your for with us. Ive used/enjoyed your input for years. You are very much appreciated.
Amazing. Will be watching this one a few times!
I'll be watching this video quite a few times to commit all these to memory. Many thanks:)
Very useful, thank you!
There is one not mentioned, but quite handy sometimes. Select a region or even note in the piano roll and press shift + F. It select all following regions/notes. I love your channel Chris! Learned a lot from you! Thanks!
You're better off just using Command A, it's one less click.
@@gabriel_levi This selects all regions. I've been talking about selection of regions following after the selected one. Different situation.
@@MrPajmej Ahh gotcha. I saw you mentioned using it in the piano roll which is all I tried, which was effectively the same as Command A. Will try it in the track view, thanks!
@@gabriel_levi I made that comment a year ago. I used to use "select following" to move whole parts to make space for another song section. I don't use it anymore as I learn to insert space with cycle locators.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I love this channel srsly
wow, brother, u r always been helpful to my journey in logic god bless u
Hey Chris, I really love your Channel, you helped me SOO MUCH. Thank you.
I wanted to ask if there's any good way to implement my sample library into apple loops, so I can play them directly in project tempo or project pitch.
These are Gems and I'm probably gonna say this as I watch this 30 day series. Gems
Excellent info!
Hey Chris, How you doing bud?
Thankyou so much for Providing Continuous Value & Knowledge 🥰
Hi Chris! Thank you for all the amazing videos you make. Please keep making more. Question: As an individual creator, can you copyright your own songs which contain Apple Loops?
thank you, very useful
Thank you sir!! :).
Love the channel and this playlist in particular. It’s fantastic for someone coming back to Logic!
One thing that I have gotten used to elsewhere and that I find incredibly powerful, is the ability to put several key commands together in a ‘macro’ that can then itself be assigned a key combination. You could have an entire set of key commands fire off in sequence using one key command.
For example, ‘split track under selection’ ‘lower event volume 6 dB’ ‘change event color to red’ ‘rewind play head 2 bars’ ‘play’. And all of those individual key commands would be grouped together as a macro assigned to its own key combination. I could make a selection then fire off that sequence.
Tried as I might, I can’t figure out how to do that in Logic proper. (I don’t want to use Automator or any third party keyboard utilities.) Am I missing something or is the above described ability not there yet? Thank you.
As an old user I’m so excited to learn u and shift w:)
Came for one key command….was not disappointed.
Awesome!
Thanks
That was awesome. One more: Shift-Command-Z to re-do. Thanks!
It is there...called UNDO
@@kjl1115 Yes, Command-z is Undo as discussed in the video. I was talking about Shift-Command-z, which will re-do the thing you just Un-did with Command-z. Just another handy key command to be aware of. Cheers!
Brilliant Chris, think I need a brain transplant to remember these 😩 but fantastic to know
Hey Chris, awesome video. I appreciate you always dropping amazing Knowledge. I do have a quick question. Before I upgraded to Logic 10.7 when I was using Native Instruments, Battery I had the ability to use the up/down arrow keys on my keyboard to scroll through different sounds and when I found one that I liked, I could hit "Return" on my keyboard, and it would select said sound. Not sure what happened, but now when I'm in battery and I hit "Return" the marker returns to the beginning of the project, but it doesn't allow me to select a sound in Battery. Having it set up the way I did before made auditioning and selecting sounds quick and easy. Having to use my mouse now is a real workflow killer, and idea as to how to fix this? Thanks so much brother. A
I need a PDF with all this stuff!
Thanks it was helpful.. Can you please guide me .. how to Move an audio track up or down with key command ?
Move up or down in different audio tracks
🎸 4:38 How do I enable the gain knob (at the very top, set at 65) like how you have it on your mixer? It used to be on my mixer, now it's gone.
This is insane! Thanks man! What is the difference between the “W” and “E” audio editors?
Actually "W" is the audio editor and "E" is the region editor. Say, you have two or more regions that refer to the same audio file. The region editor will only change the one region you're working on. The audio editor will change the audio file underneath it, so it will change for every region in your project.
Michael Steinkellner got it. Thank you!!!
Chris, do you have a printable file of these, in this order you did this? Would love to have these on a music stand near me station until I could really commit them all to memory.
any idea how to be able to just slice or start wherever you want by holding command + click (mouse) on anywhere you want?
I might have accidently clicked some wrong stuffs and now it doesn't work.
Thanks.
I can't even commit left-right to memory.
ADD Shift K = Count-in on/ooff
hi, I have 49 conflicts in the Logic key command that I cannot resolve and find the right solution to eliminate them completely. Could you please advise me how to remove them? I would be grateful
my logic pro is now keybound like an MMO character
I use my old Razer Tartarus keypad with macros for years.
Most of these dont do anything on my logic, why is it so? are the commands different? I have 10.5, and most of the commands i see in these videos are different or just not there, i really want them to be the same, is there any command preset i can download somewhere?
really whats the point of putting spacebar and return
(insert head exploding emoji here)
