  • On the way back home, we were stuck in traffic only to find out the street is temporarily closed. Looking at the street we already knew based on a fire truck being there that the truck’s load caught fire.
These load fires are way too common these days. With more residents “staying home to reduce the spread” is leading reason why no one is phased by these fires. Just this load alone I was able to see a couple wires, electronics and a couple batteries.
When all you do is advertise, put stickers on your cans and dumpster areas, there’s probably going to be a portion of residents that’ll actually pay attention. They need more common sense or the result will be more trucks catching fire.
Enjoy watching the crew trying to clean up this mess lol.
    Thanks for watching!

I would have thought a 'Curotto Can' with no front in it wouldn't be a bad idea, then the 'truck' could be used as a sort of DIY digger, and you could still shovel rubbish in it as well.

Too Many of these happen. There were two fires from a Bulky waste truck in my city in the last two months. Seems like people don't care too much any more. These poor guys had to do almost all of that by hand. That's a long, smelly day for them. Great work and I'm glad they let you film, People need to be smarter!

i agree with your sentiments in the description, until customers can be fined for putting batteries or hot coals in the trash nothing will change. If there's enough incidents of these hot loads and they start getting on the nightly news then people will start paying attention, but even then they'll blame the trash companies ("they shouldn't dump it in the street!")

Damn, what a mess. Definitely not the most efficient method of cleanup, but I guess they got the job done. Since they brought a scout truck with some containers they should have grabbed an already destroyed container from the shop, had a shop guy torch out the front so they could use it as a giant scoop, and save about 10 man hours of labor, lol. Nice work on this video, I know filming for this long and then going through the editing and uploading process for something this long isn’t the easiest thing.
