I bet Yoda's home world is under the protection of the force in wild space. This would explain why no one has found it and if Yoda's species are force sensitive, then it would make sense that while their planet is in wild space, the force keeps the dark influence away, thus keeping his home world remaining a secret. Or just maybe his species are naturally hermits are were on the very swamps he trained Luke on. Hiding in plain sight.
I always pictured his homeworld being in the deep core somewhere. There's lots of force nexus planets there so it would make sense that he comes from that area
I have two theories of why Yoda keeps his species secret: 1) Yoda wants to keep his species safe from the wider galaxy; 2) Yoda wants to keep the wider galaxy safe from his species. The second one is actually terrifying. What if Yoda and Yaddle were exiled because they are the only ones who practice the light among their species? What if their species are incredibly strong in the dark?
i do like the second one, maybe he, and others of his species are afraid that their species would be influenced by darkness. there might also be rakatha tech laying along considering the rakathas hyperspace technology was able to bring them to worlds with large amounts of force sensitives. when yoda for a fraction of a second showed duku what he would be capable if he turned to the darkness duku was REALY afraid and realised yoda would be even stronger than palpatine. and if others from his species can be simularly powerfull i can see why they would want to keep their planets location safe and not have their people potentialy influenced by the darker sides of the rest of the galaxy because of the potential devistation that could happend if this was to occur. the Sith species and the rakatha was quite powerfull afther all but only a few of the sith species was on or close to the level that Yoda was and if there was the norm that they could grow to that level of strength and their species fell to the darkside afther beeing influenced? the rest of the galaxy wouldent stand a chance. ofc there might be a multitude of other reasons to. like their planet might be a key point keeping some imense threat from the other side of the hyperspace barrier away (or whatever the thing spliting the galaxy in two is called) be inthe deep core, be a planet ouside of the galaxy, be a planet that might have some realy bad desises that yodas species is imune to, but that could kill of a large amount of species or a bunch of other things. or Yoda might just enjoy beeing a prick not telling people about it, he might have been exiled for something to.
Your theory checks out when yoda confronts his dark side. "You don't play with me anymore" Yoda with dark side powers could probably body full potential everyone lmao
Yoda and Yaddle interact in the High Republic book “Cataclysm.” At this time, Yaddle is 200 years old, and I forget how old Yoda is at this time. However, Yaddle notes that Yoda is their species’ equivalent of middle-aged.
Yeah, I had that thought, too the sith being the darks sides (failed) attempt to make a people that would only serve it and yodas species being the lights side getting back at the dark side (presumably succeeding) in making a people that would exclusively follow the light

i feel like Yoda was setting the order up for long term oversight by his species. the age difference between him, yaddal and grogu kinda spaces it out so there can always be a member of his species on the council
I remember as a kid having a theory about Yoda’s speech pattern that since he clearly lives through a great trauma maybe it rattled his mind a bit but of course this changed when I first saw the phantom menace
My biggest question about the Yoda Species is; If they are so naturally attuned to and powerful with the Force, why didnt the Tho Yor take any of them to Tython? Were they already powerful enough in the Force that they didnt need to be taken to Tython to learn and master it? Or did their strong connection to the Force develop in the species after the Tho Yor gathered species to take to Tython? Is it possible that they weren't collected by the Tho Yor becuase they were the ones that created them in the pre-history of the Galaxy? Perhaps they were the original natives of Tython but ended up leaving because of the planet's extreme climate changes that occur as the galactic balance of the force changes, much like the later Jedi would?
@@Im-Not-a-Dog that's a super cool idea actually! 😁 Another idea I had related to the first, is they are one of the oldest species in existence, the force specifically gave birth to the species at the dawn of time. they live in their own tiny little pocket galaxy, where they send out some of their own to the surrounding galaxies to spread their knowledge of the light side of the force and to be the emisaries, per se, of the light side.
I was discussing Yoda’s speech patterns with my wife, a Speech Language Pathologist and I have a background too in linquisistics. This form of speaking is actually common in other languages and more efficient in some ways. I don’t want to make any statements fully since it’s been a long time, but if I remember correctly, that’s what we realized.
As a newer SW fan who is obsessed with Grogu, I appreciate this info. Other vids talked about Yoda and Yaddle but not these Legends characters. I like the theory that they are swamp-dwellers. I didn't know Dave Filoni said Yoda spoke like that to honor his master. I, personally, had a headcanon that the Yoda species are not naturally verbal on their home world. Yoda had to learn once he left which may explain his odd speaking pattern, and the fact that Grogu still hasn't spoken at 50+. (Yaddle was exposed young enough to not have Yoda's "accent" the way multilingual speakers who learn young can go back and forth.) If they are all force sensitive then they can all communicate mentally through the force. Because Grogu is further advanced cognitively than he is verbally. (He understands what Din Djarin says to him, and can nod back or use IG-12's buttons.) In humans, "Toddlers" are aged 1-2 and should be speaking. But a child as smart as Grogu would be older. More like 5ish--he has advanced some from season 1. Of course, keeping him hidden could also account for his lack of verbal communication. I don't know if he was just closed up in that pram or not. But you need to learn language from hearing it from others.

I have two theories; not totally based on much, but not out of the realm of possibility either. Just for fun consideration. 1. Exiles of the Dark Side Theory: I present this theory that Yoda's species are originate from the Unknown or Uncharted region of the galaxy. There what has been known accounts of beginnings with very strong affinity to the force, mostly what is considered the dark side. With Yoda's species being unusually adept force users even from a young age and acquire mastery relatively quick when compared to most other species and since there are so few of their kind in recorded record in the known galaxy, they must originate from outside. But why the Dark Side you might ask. Well it's most common alignment of force abilities in the unknown region that's been recorded. And if this were true nature of their kind, it would make sense that a grandmaster of the order would not want knowledge of their kind known for fear that the Sith could exploit them, or that the Jedi would mount a crusade to destroy them. And it also explains why there are so few throughout the galaxy at any given time; they may have been exiled from their home world or cast out of their culture due to a number of unknown reasons. But the one reason I believe would be for exile especially if they are a dark side species, is that if the individuals have the affinity for light side abilities which could be deemed unnatural to their beliefs. 2. The Force Born Theory. This being more of a fun theory, suggests that Yoda's people only have a finite number of their kind alive at any given time, and when on of their kind dies and becomes one with the force, a new member of their species are born in to existence. Born or hatched from the sheer will of the force itself from their unknown home world with no conventional paternal parent, the young will grown, survive and hone their natural born force abilities until they are able to adapt into the galactic culture. But what's their purpose? To serve as a liaisons for light side of the force or even the unknowing hand of the Wills, to maintain the balance and train others to see the light. When one of their species passes on, they return to be one with the force, a new member of their kind is born and though their growth, they will commune with the force and their predecessor to learn from their collected knowledge and experience.
Din Grogu did more than just 'move a column of fire', he withheld an all-consuming conflagration. He appears to have capabilities that outclass many of the masters we've come to know and love. I expect Luke learned far more from DG than he taught.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if yoda's home world is already affiliated with the galactic Republic in some capacity, and it's just not known that his species lives there. I'm following the same line of thinking as the mandalorian coverts. They're hiding in plain sight, but their species' natural camouflage and affinity with the force keeps them hidden. I'm sure it helps they don't fly around in technicolor buckets.
"Good relations with the wookies I have" perhaps they originate from kasheek from the shadow lands? Wookies being larger and more numerous and having contact with other species first would naturally be assumed the dominant sentient beings of their world while Yoda and his kind evolved to be able to hide from predators rather than take them head on. Ancient sith tampering with evolution on kasheek accounts for being highly force sensitive.
A theory I have is that not only is Yoda’s home world in the unknown region which explains where there are no records of it at all but that his homeworld is also a force nexus which is which it seems every member of this species is naturally gifted with the force.
There's another of his species that gets very little recognition... Going by the name of yogurt, he spends his days in a secluded desert cave, pondering the many great mysteries of life, and his merchandise. He possesses a very special ring what harnesses the power of the mystical Schwartz
It would be awesome to see a live action/animated depiction of Yoda’s Master and have him speaking in Yoda’s form of backwards basic. Questions would be answered.
I would love in canon that Yoda's species age is determined by their affinity and mastery of The Force. Grogu is 50 years old and an infant because his mastery in the force is that of a child. Yoda is old because his mastery in the force is well matured. Even Yoda passing from old age was from achieving oneness with the Force.
You are saying their life force is the force itself. With every accomplishment of the force, speeds up the aging process. And if you have such strong affinity, you can make it to atleast a thousand.
Or maybe they grow with the force within them, so they mature and evolve depending on the force. Groku have supressed his abilities and maybe his growth too, just a thought its not likely but I like it.
This is my thought. Who knows how much stimulation he had over all those decades. Children left in the forest go feral; maybe he is behind because he was not fostered properly.
It's always nice to see Yoda :) And now we learned a little about Yoda species :) I think Force protects his people and planet. Like you said,Republic would bring them in the fold. And they are peaceful, loving, gentle. Great holocron :) May the Force be with you too :) Have a nice day too :)
I'm thinking about the old novel where Luke finds his mother's people. And where he learns force stealth. How they remained hidden from anyone else... What if Yoda came from such a world?
@@theyreoutthere.huntinggear not the rule of two. The species that sith came from. Like humans, huts twi Lek. There was a species called sith. They had red skin.
I think their stature and long life span, particularly their prolonged period of early development, prove why they are so powerful in The Force. Anything that small that takes DECADES to develop beyond infancy & toddlerhood would have to be majorly attuned to not get murked by anything else. ~_~
You know, we only see members of Yoda's species that are Force sensitive. Maybe their species naturally doesnt have a strong connection to the Force and they exile any members that show a connection. So everybody is running around looking for a planet and species thats incredibly strong in the Force when really they should be looking for a planet that is essentially a weak point in the Force or a planet where the flow of the Force is very shallow. This could possibly be why the members that are Force sensitive have such a strong connection to the Force, because they basically take up the entire species connection at the time of their birth. Similar to how the Sith Rule of 2 works by creating only two living vessels into which the power of the Dark Side is held, by only spawning a Force sensitive being once ever hundred or two hundred years, all of the species connection to the Force is condensed into that being. Basically, my theory is that Yoda's species was visited by the Rakata or some other ancient species that would hunt and enslave species strong in the Force and as a result began a cultural practice of "hiding" their world from other Force sensitive cultures by removing the members of their species connection to the Force at birth, placing it in 1 being every hundred years or so, then sending that being off of the planet so that even if someone were to feel that being's connection to the Force and tried to hunt them down, that being would be so far from their homeworld that the "hunter" would have no idea where they actually came from.
Except: That is not how the Sith Rule of 2 works. Lesser beings that are force sensitive are either not trained as Sith, and are simply Dark Side adepts - such as how Sidious uses the Inquisitors (most of them former Temple Guards but spared by pledging themself to the dark side). Any other beings are killed - as when Sidious considers Maul no longer an apprentice but a rival when he has taken Anakin as apprentice and named him Darth Vader. The force does not "create" two living vessels - the Sith manipulate the Force into having only two vessels. This goes into the main difference between the Jedi and the Sith in how they interact with the Force. The Jedi seek guidance from the Force. The Sith seek to dominate the Force.
9:28: I believe they are called the Anashim. Why do I believe this? Easy, educated guess. Yoda, Yaddle, Gogru, Vandor, they are all Hebrew words; so it makes sense that Yoda's species would be named in Hebrew and Anashim means people in Hebrew.
I think you too-quickly discount two things. The first is that Grogu might be more of a rambunctious child or teenager than a 'baby'. It was fans who championed calling him 'baby Yoda', not the character. If that's the case, then Yoda at 100 years old might be closer to his early 20s (in relative terms), which is about Obi-wan's age when he began training Anakin. The second is just how non-linear maturation can be. Within just a few years humans undergo significant changes in puberty which can cause some people to grow ~10 inches and almost entirely change their physique. Given that as a comparison, Grogu might just be a puberty (or two) away from being mature.
I Wonder If Yoda Species Is A Creation Of The Daughter (The Ones) That Represents The Light Side Of The Force. The Daughter Also Protects Them From The Influence Of The Dark Side. The Yoda Species Work In The Background Unseen (For The Most Part) Using The Force For The Greater Good Of The Universe.
My mind wants to try and make a connection to the Celestials Perhaps Yoda's species is a caretaker species created and left behind by them after they had merged with the force. the reason they are light aligned has to do with the light sides tendency towards preservation
Yoda Yaddle Grogu all are very different. I think they have a heavy force homeworld. it has to be something like felucia that flips between nature of dark and light very easily. yaddle was able to survive on no food for long time. grogu was able to force choke easily aswell as heal with barely any sway in nature. yoda was on deathstick heaven and defeated a force moutain elemental. my guess is the homeworld is in a dangerous part with a natural force filter(like how some planets only portay one side in their case both) like how kashyyk had a rapid evolution dark side machine in the deep forest depths.
I wonder if Lucas will ever have the information about Yoda’s people released as part of his last will and testament? A morbid thought yes, but one that might also might be an amazing commemorative send off for a truly visionary mind of the sci-fi fantasy genre… not that I wish for something like this to EVER happen anytime soon, but hopefully you get the idea here.
Ya know.....I gotta admit, that sounds like a very George Lucas thing to do. He is well aware of how beloved his creations are and I think that is why he continues to work with Filoni and Favreau, despite getting virtually nothing for his efforts.
In interviews, Lucas has called Yoda "an elf", and the novelization of Episode V says the same thing. In my head canon, Yoda's people are the Elves of the Star Wars Galaxy---an entire race of Force mystics, like the Mystics from "The Dark Crystal" or Tolkien's Elves.
If yoda species age ten times slower compared to a human, grogu would be 5 years old and yoda would be 10 years old when he started teaching. I don't think he started as a regular official jedi teacher, i think he used to help the younglings when he was a padawan himself. He might have stayed a padawan a long time, perhaps even outliving his masters, he wouldn't be old enough to become a Jedi knight for at least 80 years. If you consider 7 years of age to be the point where education and life experience becomes 'solid' within a child's mind, yoda at 100 years old would already have 30 years of experience and education. Doesn't matter if his mind and body would still be childish, yoda as a kid would be as valuable as a Jedi master, so i think he begin to act as a master at a very young age for him, and the other masters must have kind of made a bling eye to him teaching despite being a padawan.
Yoda did a lot of traveling through hyperspace during his very long life. I’m sure that could help explain away a lot of his age vs timeline related issues.
Hyperspace isn't traveling at light speed, it's a "pocket dimension". Some Jedi and sith have even been strong enough to rip it open with the force and cause devastating storms.
It could only be accessed through molecular displacement, which was achieved by breaking the speed of light. Based on that one could theorize there are potential ramifications to space and time.
@@Miles614 except hyperspace has never shown to alter time and the only thing shown to be able to time travel was that between worlds place they had in rebels. Yoda's species just age really slowly and due to that, they have low birth rates. They are basically like the chozo from the Metroid series. You're using real life science in star wars. Example. You are at the Jedi temple, get in a ship and hypersoace jump to some very outer edge planet. When you get back to the temple, everyone that you left behind will be much much older when you get back.
@@jilomohammad8078 hey I get where your coming from, my comment was just a potential answer to the oddity around baby yoda’s aging process. I know Star Wars does not play by our same laws of physics or reality, I also realize it’s not actually the answer I was just having some fun…
I think Yodas species comes from kashyyyk and lives in symbiosis with the Wookies, being hidden and protected by them in exchange for their brain and force powers
Yoda thinking of himself as Yoda could be summed up as him simply adopting the name, and accepting it as his own not only in mind, but in heart. This would also explain why he might have transitioned from the name "Mitch".
Where does it say that all of Yoda’s species is force sensitive… while the only ones we’ve “met” were force sensitive, that doesn’t mean that the rest of his species is also force sensitive… maybe the reason each member of that species we’ve seen is force sensitive is because the species itself is xenophobic an they abandoned/exile these individuals so they can’t be traced back to their home world
The trading car would be the only card of Star Wars that I wouldn’t mind having. Because I’m fascinated with the art of the card. I just wish they canceled releasing it
About the pace at which Yoda's species ages, my theory is that Yoda's species doesn't mature in a linear fashion like most species do. Instead, they stay in the juvenile "baby yoda" form and just absorb experiences with the mind of a child for as long as is necessary for them to build up the necessary wisdom and understanding of the universe. Then once they have hit a certain tipping point in life experiences, they actually metamorphose within a cocoon and come out in their adult form, ready to speak and interact with the universe in a more active way. This way of development allows them to be more in touch with their feelings and other living things, and that is why they are so strong in the force. :)
Well its also.. Grogu 50 Yoda 100. Like comparing a 10 Year old Human to a 20 Year old :D We don need to overthink here. At 20 some are already father, some have a bachelors degree ... At 10 u play with dinosaur puppets...
The reason given is why Yoda lived where he did was because of it being surrounded by the dark side. Making it hard for anybody to find him. After "order 66". And helped to hide him. It made it hard for those on the dark side to find him. Their Spencer's would be overwhelmed with the Darkside, making it hard to find him.
oh yeah i remember in some movie from 1982, an alien landed on earth and when he saw a kid in a yoda costume on halloween, he said home, so maybe yoda and that alien live on a something called, the Green Planet, which was supposed to be the sequel movie to that 1982 movie
Wasnt it in ledgends, when yoda and his friend on Daguba were found and later trained by a jedi master who spoke that way, and to honor his master after his passing, he adopted the speach patern
I feel like him referring to himself as Yoda shouldn't disprove that his species maybe called Yoda as we have seen that a Jedis thoughts can easily betray them. We've seen this with Darth Maul finding out about Luke, Darth Vader finding out about Leia (being Luke's sister). Yoda probably knew that his thoughts could betray him so he in his mind has cemented that his name is Yoda
What if Yoda's species come from a higher plane of existence, and they come to ours without knowledge of it because their mortal forms in our dimension can't handle it?
Ever since the animated short films, where Yaddle is killed by Count Dukoo, i get so baffled seeing her in the prequels where Dukoo was full on sith att
I think Yoda species are avatars of the Light & The Living Force. Like the world trees that inhabited our Earth! There long lived like Red Oaks, they're green which symbolizing life, vegetation, heart chakra, etc.
I have one theory. Yoda actually says, "For 800 years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained." From that, I don't get that Yoda is of any particular age, but that this is how long he's been training Jedi. He could be 4000 years old as far as I can tell and I'm good with that.
Just a theory on part of this perhaps the reason grogu is as powerful as he is at age 50 yet still appears to act like an infant is because his memory was erased at one time or another and he has not learned how to speak physically again .
If telepathy is a force ability then it’s safe to assume mind reading is as well, so when he refers to himself as Yoda in his mind that’s more than likely another safe guard.
Yoda's homeworld is in the unknown regions, it is so very ancient and hidden that it's species was rarely seen across the galaxy . In times of darkness one would often appear living for a millennium witnessing changing galaxies and threats but becoming wise legendary jedi . The Prime Jedi visited the mysterious homeworld of the yoda species at some point 25'000 years before the battle of yavin , making up the majority of the first ever jedi knights. The Jedi Order thrived until one of it's members a human known as Ajunta Pall formed a splinter group who became the very first sith, horrified the Jedi fought valiantly and defeated them time and time again . The yoda species were weakened by the Hundred year darkness of the sith and shut off the homeworld to self preserve, given the legendary reputation of this species it makes no surprise that the origins of the Jedi Order have this species to thank for it's early success.
Maybe like mass effect every cycle has a prime species and Yoda's species is it, the other dominant species has otherworldly connection to the force. Yoda's species probably knows the secrets of the universe but must surrender this upon leaving there home.
I would like it if Yoda's Species was from another Galaxy all together. A friend once told me about a story which I assume is now Legends that the Sith's origin in the Galaxy was from another one where the Sith ruled supreme and that for some reason they tried to come to this Galaxy but before the entire contingent could get through a vision had been seen that threatened their power in their own Galaxy. So the Gate or what ever it was was shut forever abandoning the ones that were in the first wave. I think it would be fun if Yoda's species was doing something similar but instead of sending entire contingents they were sending only scouts in a continuous way to test the waters of this Galaxy or help mold it to one day be able to join a larger community of Galaxies. But the continuous conflicts resulting from the Sith presence has not let them do anymore. A bit of a side note has George Lucas ever given a reason why he wont give Yoda's species concrete data or is he just being a dick? I feel like it's a bit childish of a thing to do seeing that Yoda and the rest do so much for the Galaxy as a whole.
When they announced during the lead-up to Last Jedi that the first Jedi temple had a diminutive caretaker race, I thought they were finally going to reveal the origin of Yoda’s species. But nope-instead we got fish nuns.
in the Knights of the old Republic video game from the xbox video game system, i think they went to a planet , maybe Dentooine, and there was a yoda character, was that yoda from the empire strikes back? if so, then he lives for thousands of our years, but calls his life span hundreds, so that might be a thing
Yoda must've learned most about the force from his master while he was at Grogu's age, and had enough knowledge to become a Jedi master by the time he was able to form complete sentences and speak or if one can be a master only when they're adults, maybe the adolescence period for the species is at a faster rate compared to let's say humans, so if it completes like around 20 years, and if it starts at around the age of 70-80 , even then by the age of 100 the species would be in their adulthood, making Yoda be a master to other Jedi at the time
i think that if Yoda and Yaddle got it on, Grogu is just the word for child based on the logic presented here. The species must originate in wild space as that area is not fully charted, explored, nor studied and was known to cost explorers their lives due to the dangers of the area. it would be logical to conclude that little is known about the species because no one has visited the homeworld and made it back alive.
i think you might have it wrong? maybe yoda didn't start teaching until late in his life, and 800 years was his unit of time ? not regular time? i don't know i could be wrong, but if he said he was training kids for 800 years, maybe he meant in real time but when he metioned his age, that was in his time , which is different, like Grogu being 50 not 3. so maybe he meant that he taught kids for 800 of his years, which might be like 50 years for us? , i am confused now. but maybe it something like that , when he said for 800 years, he meant in one unit and when he said 900 he meant another unit? is that possible?
I bet Yoda's home world is under the protection of the force in wild space. This would explain why no one has found it and if Yoda's species are force sensitive, then it would make sense that while their planet is in wild space, the force keeps the dark influence away, thus keeping his home world remaining a secret. Or just maybe his species are naturally hermits are were on the very swamps he trained Luke on. Hiding in plain sight.

I have two theories of why Yoda keeps his species secret:
1) Yoda wants to keep his species safe from the wider galaxy;
2) Yoda wants to keep the wider galaxy safe from his species.
The second one is actually terrifying. What if Yoda and Yaddle were exiled because they are the only ones who practice the light among their species? What if their species are incredibly strong in the dark?
Hmmm.... Definitely option 2.... Like those mogwai gremlin things
i do like the second one, maybe he, and others of his species are afraid that their species would be influenced by darkness. there might also be rakatha tech laying along considering the rakathas hyperspace technology was able to bring them to worlds with large amounts of force sensitives. when yoda for a fraction of a second showed duku what he would be capable if he turned to the darkness duku was REALY afraid and realised yoda would be even stronger than palpatine. and if others from his species can be simularly powerfull i can see why they would want to keep their planets location safe and not have their people potentialy influenced by the darker sides of the rest of the galaxy because of the potential devistation that could happend if this was to occur. the Sith species and the rakatha was quite powerfull afther all but only a few of the sith species was on or close to the level that Yoda was and if there was the norm that they could grow to that level of strength and their species fell to the darkside afther beeing influenced? the rest of the galaxy wouldent stand a chance.
ofc there might be a multitude of other reasons to. like their planet might be a key point keeping some imense threat from the other side of the hyperspace barrier away (or whatever the thing spliting the galaxy in two is called) be inthe deep core, be a planet ouside of the galaxy, be a planet that might have some realy bad desises that yodas species is imune to, but that could kill of a large amount of species or a bunch of other things. or Yoda might just enjoy beeing a prick not telling people about it, he might have been exiled for something to.
Yoda wasn't exiled. He and his friend crashed on dagobah and found a jedi master who trained them. And I guess he just didn't go back.
Your theory checks out when yoda confronts his dark side.
"You don't play with me anymore"
Yoda with dark side powers could probably body full potential everyone lmao

i feel like Yoda was setting the order up for long term oversight by his species. the age difference between him, yaddal and grogu kinda spaces it out so there can always be a member of his species on the council
I remember as a kid having a theory about Yoda’s speech pattern that since he clearly lives through a great trauma maybe it rattled his mind a bit but of course this changed when I first saw the phantom menace
My biggest question about the Yoda Species is;
If they are so naturally attuned to and powerful with the Force, why didnt the Tho Yor take any of them to Tython?
Were they already powerful enough in the Force that they didnt need to be taken to Tython to learn and master it? Or did their strong connection to the Force develop in the species after the Tho Yor gathered species to take to Tython?
Is it possible that they weren't collected by the Tho Yor becuase they were the ones that created them in the pre-history of the Galaxy? Perhaps they were the original natives of Tython but ended up leaving because of the planet's extreme climate changes that occur as the galactic balance of the force changes, much like the later Jedi would?
I would guess that because of how closely attuned to the light they are, they could have thrown off the delicate balance of Typhon.
What if Yoda's species were the ones who created the Tho Yor in the first place?
Probably from a different galaxy.
@@lokuajc i mean, at this point they could write them in as the counterpart to the Night Sisters in that new galaxy.
@@Im-Not-a-Dog that's a super cool idea actually! 😁
Another idea I had related to the first, is they are one of the oldest species in existence, the force specifically gave birth to the species at the dawn of time. they live in their own tiny little pocket galaxy, where they send out some of their own to the surrounding galaxies to spread their knowledge of the light side of the force and to be the emisaries, per se, of the light side.

Kanan died doing what baby grogu did
@@Chimp_Titty Exactly.
As proficient as Kanan was, even he couldn't muster enough midichlorians to live another day.

I love everything about this theory
You are saying their life force is the force itself. With every accomplishment of the force, speeds up the aging process. And if you have such strong affinity, you can make it to atleast a thousand.

I always felt Yoda was amphibious in nature and their species only laid a couple of eggs in a lifetime.
Also given the species' extremely long lifespan, their population is probably not very large and has low reproductive rate like the Gen'Dai.
I will never underestimate Yoda species
Ive always thought that yodas species would be revealed to be a Jedi version of what the sith species was
interesting thought
That would be cool and make sense. Only 2 there can be , no more no less. There was just yoda and yaddle, maybe grogu has a sibling 🤔 twin.

I think their stature and long life span, particularly their prolonged period of early development, prove why they are so powerful in The Force.

Yoda species being arboreal is a very valid theory. When he is sitting he gives off a green Koala Bear vibe.
But this doesn't add up with what we see in the trading card though 🤔
@@mapdoor1418 The card that Lucas himself rejected? Yeah...im not worried about that.
The Sith seek to dominate the Force.
strong enough to face me you will never be

9:28: I believe they are called the Anashim. Why do I believe this? Easy, educated guess. Yoda, Yaddle, Gogru, Vandor, they are all Hebrew words; so it makes sense that Yoda's species would be named in Hebrew and Anashim means people in Hebrew.
Like how you found something new and that I can get behind and how the Jewish people
6:40 wait... that's yogurt... He's merchandizing
Interesting. My theory is that Yoda's species has a trait that gradually ages them more as they experience more stressful situations.
@@warrior8772 Basically they grow when they use the force, that's why Grogu grew (literally) so much under Luke

Yes yes. Yoda making babies you made me think of!
He's young but absorbs everything he see and hears, he's living a lifetime unable ro speak, once he's able to he may just be a master 🤷🏾♂️
You know the Dai Bendu conlang?? That was a very cool surprise. Love the video!
Probably them dwell are swamps, places that they can use all abilities and eat any kind of small live forms.
I like the idea of 'Yoda' being like 'adam' in Hebrew. Headcanon accepted
I wonder if this species played a roll in defeating the Rakkatins given their natural Force affinity and lengthy lifespans???
The Rakata regressed as a species after encountering a plague which caused them to lose their force sensitivity. The Rakata only used the dark side.
I am kinda hoping we never find out, as it adds to their mystique
Frank Oz himself came up with the explanation of Yoda speaking like his old master. He talks about it in an interview somewhere.
Im disappointed Yogurt wasn't a part of the bumper image.
The middle picture in the thumbnail is from Spaceballs😂😂😂
Thanks👍🏼
I like to imagine that his species is hiding on one of the big name planets in a place where nobody has ever looked.
I know Star Wars does not play by our same laws of physics or reality, I also realize it’s not actually the answer I was just having some fun…

theres yoda’s species in Knights of the Old Republic
Please go over every Padawan Yoda has ever had over his 900yr life.
I dont think we really need to know. It doesnt really matter what they are called or where they are from. They just are who they are.

I would love to see Yoda's species revealed. But I get the feeling that won't happen for a longtime.
Now that's the thinking that an old school new ager like me can get behind.
My guess is where he lives in swamp or deserts. one of yoda's first lightsaber is rainbow color from his master.
What about the Rakata and the von?
Ever since the animated short films, where Yaddle is killed by Count Dukoo, i get so baffled seeing her in the prequels where Dukoo was full on sith att
I think Yoda species are avatars of the Light & The Living Force. Like the world trees that inhabited our Earth! There long lived like Red Oaks, they're green which symbolizing life, vegetation, heart chakra, etc.
I still think it would be interesting if Yoda's species either was, or was related to, The Celestials.
Agreed
You've basically covered all of this information in previous videos. Is covering new and different content that difficult?
I have one theory. Yoda actually says, "For 800 years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be trained." From that, I don't get that Yoda is of any particular age, but that this is how long he's been training Jedi. He could be 4000 years old as far as I can tell and I'm good with that.
Batman refers to himself as Batman in his subconscious so why couldn't Yoda refer to himself as Yoda subconsciously?
The most common fan name is Tridactyle. hands and feet all having three digits on them (fingers for hands and toes for feet) and pterodactyl.
"Yoda speaks that way because his master did."
Well that's stupid.
Hmmm good insight he has
Just a theory on part of this perhaps the reason grogu is as powerful as he is at age 50 yet still appears to act like an infant is because his memory was erased at one time or another and he has not learned how to speak physically again .
I feel like it's a bit childish of a thing to do seeing that Yoda and the rest do so much for the Galaxy as a whole.
what do the writings say on that banned trading card at 651 ?
When they announced during the lead-up to Last Jedi that the first Jedi temple had a diminutive caretaker race, I thought they were finally going to reveal the origin of Yoda’s species. But nope-instead we got fish nuns.
I understood it that Yoda's master spoke in that same way and Yoda simply adopted his masters way of speaking.
We all know the most powerful of the species is Yogurt played by Mel Brooks 😂😂
How much does the card sell for?
in the Knights of the old Republic video game from the xbox video game system, i think they went to a planet , maybe Dentooine, and there was a yoda character, was that yoda from the empire strikes back? if so, then he lives for thousands of our years, but calls his life span hundreds, so that might be a thing
Yoda must've learned most about the force from his master while he was at Grogu's age, and had enough knowledge to become a Jedi master by the time he was able to form complete sentences and speak
or if one can be a master only when they're adults, maybe the adolescence period for the species is at a faster rate compared to let's say humans, so if it completes like around 20 years, and if it starts at around the age of 70-80 , even then by the age of 100 the species would be in their adulthood, making Yoda be a master to other Jedi at the time
I think yoda is a Legendary Pokemon
i think that if Yoda and Yaddle got it on, Grogu is just the word for child based on the logic presented here.
The species must originate in wild space as that area is not fully charted, explored, nor studied and was known to cost explorers their lives due to the dangers of the area. it would be logical to conclude that little is known about the species because no one has visited the homeworld and made it back alive.
