FACS is basically an indie supergroup. Alianna Kalaba: Cat Power, We Regazzi; Brian Case : 90 Day Men, Disappears; Noah Leger: Hurl, The Speaking Canaries, Taking Pictures, Milemarker, Disappears and seemingly zillions of other amazing bands. All worth a listen in additional to FACS.
Saw the end of their set when they opened for Metz and Preoccupations and I was soo blown away and immersed in their sound. Some of my fav sounds I’ve ever heard live
Just learning about this band... Very appropriate to record this in Chicago. Reminds me very much of 80's/90's bands from the Chicago label Touch&Go. Impressed.
SAME! In a Crash Bang Boom Podcast interview Phil Puleo, the drummer from Human Impact (another favorite pandemic band), mentioned FACS as one of his favorite bands. So, I immediately checked them out and have been hooked ever since!
Fucking hell, I've been waiting for any updates/new music from Disappears for a long while didn't realize they've reformed. I'm both happy and sad, but glad to have good new music to abuse
So you recorded this in next August, and you called it "In A Present Tense". Makes perfect sense to me! Damn you sound so good live, let's hope for a Europe tour and the pandemic to end very soon
Same here, discovered them through Dave White from White Hills on fb. Ordered all four of their albums. Also Sanford Parker is involved in the mix, Iove most of the things he does.

I had no idea. Man I used to love Milemarker when I was a teenager
Oh. And Mike Lust recording this tops it all off.
The drummer is a MONSTER! Holy fucc, just huge cacophonous sound.
You sound like someone who puts on a record with headphones and stare at the ceiling..."cacophonous sound". People like you make this world tolerable.

I saw them on the same tour in Vancouver! I only caught the last bit of their set too, very bummed cause this is exactly my type of noise!
Check out the band “Bruges.” - another excellent Chicago band in a similar vein as FACS. “An Erasure of Form” is a superb album you may enjoy.
They call themselves Fugazi for goths, but I think it is more similar to Unwound on Prozac. Unique band.
EVERYTIME I hear this I need to give it a shout out!
Her bass tone is amazing!

Just came here from glitchy bandcamp stream...thanks for the youtube backup guys! FACS has been my favorite pandemic band, just incredible music.
Facs is easily one of the best

Freaking fantastic! That bass tone is insane, nothing like a P bass soaked in fuzz. Stoked for the new album!!
Any idea what the giant pedal is? You can kind of see it around 3:50.

So good we watched it twice!
You guys are not that old, but have remind me of the great classic rock bands of the 60's like the Door. Great music and video and performance
Discovered them as an opener band for another band, I can't even recall who they were opening for. FACS stole the show. Great sound.
Metz?
Slams so well. Can’t get over it.

Strawberry Cough 4:07 is a bomb. In live it sounds better than on record!
