MacBook Pro 16" in 2020 Review - Buy NOW or WAIT?

- The 16-inch MacBook Pro has been on sale for almost a year now and is my favorite laptop currently available in Apple's lineup. It brought a bigger display, better thermal design, a new magic keyboard, great speakers & microphone, and an overall better value for people looking at Apple's most powerful MacBook Pro. However, is it still worth it in 2020, or should you wait for Apple's ARM transition?

Bought my 16 inch MBP 2 months ago. Happy with my purchase!! No regret.
@@wenjiechang4600 ive had mine for like 6 months and its great! so fast too!
Is it noisy?
@@im4485 it’s literally silent it’s so good
I know this was posted 6 months ago but do you feel yours gets hot really quickly from small tasks like browsing RUclips?
@@mrbubblegum559 mine does sometimes, I wouldn’t worry:)
I hate they got rid of the glowing apple that always made me want a MacBook growing up
I feel you 🤣🤣
I remember seeing MacBooks as a kid and dreamed of having one, currently saving for one now.
@@cheesythegamer9771 you will get there, I am a student and after 2 years saving a little I got a high spec mbp!
Julian Soni awesome! I hoping to get a intel one while they are still out since I want to do boot camp.

I sold my MacBook Pro 13” 2017 and there’s no way to wait for the ARM. I bought my MacBook Pro 16” a few minutes ago! 😬
Great choice, I’m getting the 5600 gpu for my 16 inch!
What 16 did u get I want the i9 32gb
Same here, 5600 gpu 64 gb Ram i9 4.8 cpu 1TB :)
Lol I have the same. I'm now in between MacBook Pro 16 and the updated iMac
Gary Jahman me too boo!
Bought my MacBook Pro 16 2 weeks ago! I won’t worry about ARM Macs anytime soon!
Just bought one from Amazon for $1999, love it.
still on a battered 2012 mac pro that chokes on 4k footage so I'm definitely not waiting another 2 years
buy a new hardirve, battery and ssd and it should fix the slowness. Im currently on a 2012 Mac Pro as well, and ive just ordered my 16 inch pro!

Hey Greg, you think we’ll see a 2020 refresh with 10th gen or Tigerlake 11th gen? Love the channel, btw
I just bought the 2020 Macbook pro 16 inch A2141. I haven’t bought many accessories yet. I have read it on the Internet for a long time. I noticed that the case of this link is very special, beautiful and not expensive, but I have not known which design to choose after reading it for a long time. OMG it costs 300 bucks!!!!!!!
Note that warranty start dates are not at time of purchase if buying from Amazon, they begin from the time Amazon purchased them from Apple. This is not the best channel for buying a macbook
Hey Greg! Just bought the upgraded core i9 5500m 1TB 16" MacBook Pro for $2,000 refurbished from Micro Center. Did I get a good deal, and did I make the right decision to purchase now? I considered the M1 - but I need the intel model because I dock this laptop to three 4K displays and one thunderbolt 3 dock. Couldn't wait 7 months for an M1X Macbook pro
Bought mine about two weeks ago and it’s amazing , upgraded from iMac 2011 to 16inch i9 and I love it,
got this as a bday present yesterday, and man... I'm lovin' it! :)
There is a new one coming out, supposed to be a lot better
What’s the difference, 16” 2019 vs the 2020 one? When it’ll b launched?
It’s actually only been around 7 months, rather than a full year.
8
That’s why he said “almost”
Adam Forde 7 or 8 months is not ALMOST. Obviously almost is not the right word
Was seriously considering getting a new MBP today. After watching your video, the spell has broken and I am going to wait. Thank you very much for all your information.
I just bought mine yesterday, since I can't wait until the end of the year to get a new computer, still trying to adjust to the size difference but I absolutely love it so far.
whats ur specs??
Sick might hop on the train too, way overdue, I’m still running a mid 2014 MacBook Pro retina and it’s fan gets LOUD now. But it runs great, best advice though if you have one you want to change and it works, trade it in, I might trade mine since it gets me $520 on a trade in which is wild.
@@GabrielXDrums wow really? I also have a Mid 2014 Macbook Pro Retina, 2.5GHz i7 Quad COre, 16GB memory, 1TB HDD, it's still fairly running fast, but i want to get a new one.
I bought mine a few days ago (basic one: i7, 5300m, 16gb, 512gb) and at first it seemed huge but I think I am getting used to it. Although this is by no means a truly portable laptop. I'm not sure if I'd want to carry it around in my backpack everyday.
Like a new car, You can’t trust the first model. Wait until the kinks are worked out then buy.
I'd argue that the 2016 15 was the 'first model', and the 16 is the update that ironed out those kinks
I don't think its a new model
I'm still using the first ever retina MB pro which I bought in 2012 and I still use it today. It's still running strong too, file transfers are still faster than some of my newer windows machines.
agreed
@@Banziafy Or they're talking about the ARM Macs coming.
I was in the same dilemma. I made up my mind about two weeks ago to get my hands on my very first Mac computer - a 16” MacBook Pro. I love it.
From what I’ve heard, ARM based Macs won’t be supporting Windows thru BootCamp, and to me that’s almost a necessity. I’ve also heard that it’ll take some time for third party software to adjust to the new ARM chips. Therefore, I bought the MacBook Pro now instead of waiting for the 2020 version since we don’t know what will be in it.
The design on ARM MacBooks aren’t going to dramatically change. There won’t be much difference.
I say buy the intel based MacBooks now, I feel like it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Exactly same thoughts I had...just ordered mine too. How is the MacBook going now? How long does its battery last?
damn so you didn't wait for M1
I’m working off of an external drive non SSD for iMovie since I ran out of space on my Mac. Really trying to wait for 16” update before getting one with 4TB drive. Are you working off of SSD drives for video editing?
Love your videos Greg !! Love from South Africa !! I think i'll wait for the rumoured ARM based 13'3 or 14' Inch MacBook Pro because i need a portable laptop and not something as big as the 16inch. I am currently using a Mid-2014 15in MacBook Pro and I need a upgrade soon , 6 years is a long time
Thank you 🙏 And yeah waiting for the ARM Macbooks is definitely a good idea for the people who can.
OoOooOo I can smell that 100k subs a mile away! Congrats Greg 👏😎😌
Thank you 🙏 Hopefully soon 😅
@@GregsGadgets :)
Omg I’ve been so waiting for this video :( I’ve just bought one I hope I haven’t made a big mistake
I bought my MBP 16" just a month a back, and I am very happy with it... anyway if you feel that the ARM chips will be much more powerful, it will take time for 3rd party apps to optimize. I am guessing for the next 4 yrs, the ARM will not be leagues better than the 16" with intel processors while using 3rd party apps. I also bought this MBP because I like to do some occasional gaming and so far this is a beast in that sector. Furthermore, though a refresh is likely to come in the next 4 months, leakers suggest that it will be a minor spec update (maybe 10th gen processors) so MBP 16" will not feel outdated
Me too. Seems like my impulse purchase paid off.
Ayyyyy I needed this
Hope it’s helpful!
GregsGadgets it definitely is, quick question tho is there in any way you see this laptop lacking or underperforming? Maybe in games or something?
@@jaypandya913 yo jay you're kinda cute
Still waiting on mine to arrive =/ UPS can't seem to be bothered to deliver it even though it's in my state now for about 1 and a half weeks now.
Great video as usual! Thanks!
The 16inch is still beast especially with the 5600M upgrade. Which I have now.
Oooo. You have the 5600M... I’m jealous.
Idk how people use 16” laptops. Might as well bring a desktop with you lol
What a beast man! Just got the 5500m cause 5600m price hella steep when added to the higher tier base model 😅
@@GregsGadgets yes if you have 4 K.....hahahhahhahha
Is it worth the 700 bucks
Hey! Should I get a current MacBook Pro 13 or wait for the ARM MacBooks?
Just bought a 16 inch base today! Lovin it
@kain seviers depends I guess! Right now I require it mainly for development and for any heavy machine learning I'm anyway provided with a pretty good remote server to work on
I got to give it up, finally mac is really investing on specs. I want one
@kain seviers you could go for 32gb but only if you will use them if not then ur wasting your money
kain seviers I think the 16gb is the best option for price vs spec quality
@@wenjiechang4600 I'm seriously impressed! A beast of a machine. No hiccups in any of the heavy tasks I threw at it. And best part? Bootcamp! I play Valorant sometimes. Works like a charm
Mine just arrived here on July 10 and you and I literally have the exact same configuration and even the color is the same lmao
I am so stuck between holding off on buying or getting a macbook pro now. I don't want to wait until the ARM macs come out just for them to be slightly better but im also worried that i'll get one now and then they'll be amazing xD
Im waiting for the 16" 2020 MB Pro to come out. It seem like they aren't not releasing a new model on the MB pro this year?
^this is what i want to know. Will there be a new 16" 2020 MB Pro? Cuz i can wait a few months for a laptop, but not a year
Greg, 3rd option... will Apple release one more 16” MBP with Intel 10th Gen CPUs ??? .. if so when is this likely ? - I’d be more inclined to wait a few months for this option rather than purchasing a 10 month old machine, or waiting 1-2 years for an ARM model.
It’s possible and could be by the end of this year if they are doing it. 10th gen cpus probably won’t be a huge boost in performance though so it might be better to save some cash and go for the current model.
I am also waiting for 10ty gen i7 but apple is not giving any idea on it
Matt Schwartz no it’s not.. wifi 6 is hardly an upgrade and most people won’t see a difference. There’s already word on wifi 6e (yet another upgrade) before wifi 6 is even widely adopted. Wifi ac (5) works great, even new routers released in the past year are still improving on older wifi ac routers
Love your verdict, very relatable because i am using the macbook air 13” (2020) but felt so underpowered. Gonna wait for the arm macbook pro to upgrade
Very well put words in the end about the decision. I got you. Thank you.
So do you bilieve that the base model with i7 6core with 32GB of ram is a good choice for webdevelopoing and some time video editing , photoshop and graphic design?
My MacBook broke yesterday, thank you for telling me to wait 1-2 years.
Just by the 13 inch or 16 inch ... They worth it
Yes the new 2021 is coming out soon
Him: “...and your laptop broke yesterday”
Me: 👁👄👁
Cuz it did...
Same!!
in your opinion, When MBP16 refresh spec like a intel gen10?
I haven't watched the video yet as the ad is running. But as I just ordered one yesterday and expect it to be delivered tomorrow, I hope you're not going to make me feel bad about my choice - as, while I lothe the noise the fans make and I want an Apple chip version, I think that's 2-3 (maybe 4) years out (for me).
No you’re good. It’s an amazing laptop!
I have a 2015 15 inch that has been awesome but lately is giving me fan/heat issues... should I upgrade or try to get it repaired? How big of a jump is the 2020 16 vs 2015 15
This year apple will release a Apple silicon 16 MacBook Pro ? I need a super powerful MacBook Pro so I don’t now if I need to buy now or wait for the new MacBooks
imo, better not buy the first gen ARM version, because it may not be stable for first release.
Buy now, especially if you are depending on it for work, as the 16-inch is a spectacular computer and we're at a point where Catalina has reached pretty good operational stability. If you really need the processing power, up the spec to the mid-level CPU, which is the 2.3 GHz 8-core i9 and the 8GB 5500 GPU, unless you need every bit of processing power and money is of no concern, in which case the more marginal returns of the high-spec 8-core and 5600 might make the most sense. I'm presently using this mid-spec with 32 GB of RAM and 1TB storage and it's exceptional. It's not reasonable to expect the first generation of new Apple products are going to be as refined or reliable.
I just ordered a 16" MBP - then started wondering if they might be just about to release a refresh this year before they release the ARM version in a year or two. So really there are three options here: buy now, wait for the Intel refresh, or wait for ARM. I'm looking to replace my 13" 2014 MBP so I don't want to wait a year or two - but I'll be a bit miffed if a significant refresh comes out in the next 1-2 months.
So what are you planning to do ? Are you waiting or going to buy one?
TheAnonymous I'm still getting one. Should arrive any day now :)
@@KMaddening which variant did u chose?
@@abhinavsvsl8249 16GB with the 5500M 4GB and 1TB. £2480 from Amazon UK, £2800 from Apple - and to get any upgrades would have meant buying from Apple, making the price difference on the upgrades even greater making them unjustifiable to me especially since it might get superseded soon. I figure that if performance isn't what I want I'd be better off putting the £700-£1000 price difference into an eGPU.
I've realised too that until there's some clarity over Windows on ARM and running Windows games on ARM, I'd rather go for the last (or second to last) Intel MBP and give it a few years for all that to sort itself out. An inability to run Windows games might be enough to switch away from Mac in the future once they're all ARM though.
Should I buy the 512GB storage or 1TB MacBook Pro 2020
tell me whenever you want to sell this MBP16 i am waiting
Is it still worth keep my MBP 16' i9 or switch for the new M1?
Will the more powerful GPU version of the 16" increase performance of Logic Pro X, or is it only really an advantage for video use and gaming? Thanks.
No audio software is GPU accelerated, so no.
Thanks man! This video will probably make me wait another 6-12 months for the new line of Silicon Macbooks. Mine mid-2015 is still running great but obviously I miss the usb-c performance.
A year ago? 8 months. That’s like saying it has around three thunderbolt ports. Why not be correct?
Estimations exist.
thank you! worth watching
i just bought this a couple months ago and it works great. the only thing i HATE is that you cannot keep this thing in your lap. it just gets too damn hot.
Oh really? I find the heat to be pretty manageable unless im doing something like editing video.
Yep reminds me of a Thai hooker
I mostly just use it at a desk because I’m not the best with trackpads so this isn’t a problem
Well when I do something light like watching this youtube video, the temp remains low.
MrGheller the internal temps are not bad. It’s the metal absorbing the heat that is bad. My skin isn’t melting but it’s far too uncomfortable. And for some reason when im in zoom or teams, my fans on it go hammer time and ive confirmed this as a thing with coworkers
Just ordered mine yesterday! Don’t want to wait until april/may 2021 for the ARM version. And with the world we are in who knows if it will release then. Also if after it’s released and reviewed, why not trade in and upgrade!!
is it possible to trade and upgrade?
Jonathan Boparai yup.
@@JT-oc2dn a very confusing one
Tbh I don’t think arm will be as powerful as we think, since arm processors are more aimed to mobile devices, I see it starting with MacBook airs and slowly getting more powerful overtime, also a 8 core i9 will be very powerful for years to come.
great video! i lold when you said it had better graphics than current gen consoles 😂
Hello, please do help me out, I am new to Macbook pro 16" . When working with FCP , i dont see Volume icon in the touch screen, it disappears. How can i increase the volume when working in FCP ? as the volume is not displaying.. Please help me out.. Sorry for asking this silly question , i am new to FCP too. Thanks.
Guys I need your help... I learning animation and graphics designer rn in college... I went to Best Buy and spent 2500$ on the 16 inch MacBook Pro.. but when I think about it I can just get the 13 inch with i5 and get my money back... so this is what I am thinking since my major has subject about drawing, editing math and stuff so I was thinking about gettin 13 inch and buy iPad pro or any other iPad
Currently I don’t need something like the 16 inch MacBook Pro, but if I need a high grade laptop anytime in the near future, then this might be the one I look to get. Unless the silicon Macs come out before hand, then I’ll look into getting one of those.
Really really good presentation, information and guidance.
Thanks for the very thorough and helpful review.
Ugh was about to buy one, until you said it has the same camera as my 2013 MacBook Pro with Retina Display lol
I’m still comparing the Mac book pro 16 vs Asus pro duo. Any advice ?
I just bought MBP 16 inch entry level laptop for programming, hope I didn’t made mistake 😑.
My question is do you think should i macbook pro 16 for studying engineering
Man, you readed my mind
Haha. Hope it’s helpful!
I’m starting first year uni and I NEED a laptop, I was gonna get the 16 inch base until they started talked about arm based macs. I can’t risk waiting too long so what do y’all think, buy the 16 inch now or wait?
Should get one rn as 16 inch arm would come next year and then it would too get outdated in a year,so no harm in getting it now,get tha base i7 if you are not a poweruser
If I’m getting a MBP16 now, is it worthy to upgrade to a higher CPU? Or 32GB ram? Or 8GB GPU? Mainly using Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro, and I’m considering the upgrade mainly for future need since you can’t upgrade it yourself later on. But if you can only use it for ~5 years considering the possibility of Apple stopping the support for intel based machines, do these upgrades make no sense any more?
I bought my MacBook PRo 3 weeks ago and need to wait a week for a repar because I can't get it to charge or power on. Any suggestions? I didn't open it for 3 weeks due to family medical issues, taking care of parent and brother. Too exhausted to open it up when I bought it.
Excellent, detailed and worth watching video.
@GregsGadgets. What is the other black device you got there, plugged into the ANKER?
I’m mostly looking to code and run FB/Google ads. Maybe some photo editing here and there. Which should I get? Today’s 13 inch, today’s 16 inch, or wait for Apple Silicon? Appreciate all helpful, informative replies! I currently only use a 2015 iPad Pro as my “computer,” which isn’t saying much.
I disagree about the touchbar. I find it more and more useful everyday I use it.
Same
I have a MBP 16 (base model) and now I wish I can return it. It has very serious thermal issues. The computer would frequently freeze due to overheating, sometimes even right after it boots up with no apps running in the background. The CPU load would go up to a 100% easily because of overheating, and the fans would run at full speed. In fact a lot of times it is even underperforming my 13" macbook pro. I did some research online and realized that this is actually a very common issue among all macbook pro 16 users. I know some people really love this macbook pro but I just want to tell people my experience so they know the risks before deciding to buy it.
Even though silicon might be more powerful, I like using boot camp for gaming and other uses. So I’m going with this model before that happens.
I just upgraded to the 16" MacBook Pro from an old iPad Pro 12.9" . I was considering staying with the iPad, but it just has too many limitations in areas that are important to my work. A serious discount on the MacBook Pro made the decision easier. After a couple of days, I still find my fingers sometimes "heading toward the screen", but overall enjoy the bigger screen, keyboard, trackpad, and ease of use. this computer is a "home run".
Just bought mine today.. absolutely love it !!!!!
OMG OMG OMG!!!!! Is the Apple logo shiny????!! You’re soooo lucky!!!!!
Nice video. The one thing I want to point out is that a built-in SD Card reader would be useless for most pro video makers since they're likely using a C-Fast card.
You forgot Photographers we need the power to run all the editing software you use. I personally use Adobe photoshop lightroom Luminar 4 Nik Collection Luminar HDR and with the new noise calling software to choose from we need all that power as well.
Hey I want to buy Macbook pro 16inch 2020 around November due to work on urgency. So should I go for it or wait for the Silicon chip macbook. If they launch it by the end of this year will it be a wise decision to by it instantly or one should wait for atleast 2 - 3 years to get hands on a revised iteration of it ??
I am a computing & games development student surviving on a 13 inch 2012 macbook pro. It's really not good enough anymore, I tried to open Unity a couple days ago & it took waaaay too long and was lagging like crazy. Worked out that I can _just_ about afford the 16 inch base model if I stick to a budget over the next year, so I think I'm going to go for it. I really need a bigger screen, but I also need the portability, so this Mac is the perfect one to fit my needs. I think it will be a worthwhile investment for me, the performance looks incredible and I also can't wait to use a retina MacBook for the first time. 😍
When does the new 16 MacBook Pro come out
I think now is the perfect time to buy a 16-inch if you are using a computer for work, and reliability is just as important as being on the bleeding edge of technology. While perhaps not groundbreaking in its changes, it's the best laptop Apple has made in many, many years and it finally reflects a flagship with a case design and cooling system that is appropriate to the CPU/GPU being used. They did everything extremely well, and it makes for a very nice piece of equipment that you quickly appreciate especially when you are using it 12+ hours a day. I agree the webcam could definitely use improvement, although it seems most videoconferencing software is so bogged down that they can't even sustain 480 in many cases. I also agree the touch bar doesn't really benefit productivity...I am glad they added a physical escape key. In some cases though, the touch bar can even hinder productivity by increasing the steps I must take to perform specific actions...customization with a third party app certainly improves this.
Apple's ARM Macs will likely be amazing, but they will almost certainly face teething issues, likely delays, and potential reliability/longevity issues with first gen versions depending upon the extent of component changes. The reality is that's happened with Apple in the past when making major jumps (e.g., 2011 15-inch dGPU, 2012/early-2013 retina screen peel and screen burn, 2016 artifacting and keyboard), and it's happened to other makers as well. It should all end up great in the end, but it's not going to happen overnight and probably not as fast as most people expect. Finally, it seems possible the somewhat higher-TDP CPUs seen in the 16 inch will probably be replaced later than the lower-TDP CPUs seen in the Air and 13-inch Pro.
As for support, it seems likely Apple will support many Intel Macs for quite some time. Big Sur is the first OS to drop support for the 2012 Unibody MacBook and iOS 14 will continue to support the iPhone 6S and first generation SE. While the last PowerPC Macs didn't get new OS' for quite as long, they got security support through 2014.
Will they have a sale on cyber Monday?
My latest 2013 Macbook Pro screen was bugging out.. I had to pick up another one and ended up with the 16 Inch.. I couldn't wait for the M1 so this will have to do. Since my laptop still works and just display issues. I ended up plugging it into my smart tv and will use it as a surfing rig.
Really informative and helpful. Thanks so much for sharing,
What if I just want a minor update or a mini-LED display?
I got the 13” MBP 2016 with touchbar.
Do you know if I can diy replace a battery on one of these? If so, where can I get one?
I like the touch bar when I'm editing music in audiowave or adobe audition. I just bought this 16 inch model with the 550 and i9 with a 1tb ssd... (I love this laptop!)
I got the same one. Its the happiest ive ever been with a laptop
This is this is, you know you listening to to Travis. Wait.....
Lol for real, tnx for uploading today :) no videos from you or Travis since gadget cast on Sunday, been feeling homesick my dude 😭
😂 Well thank you for watching. I hope it’s enjoyable!
What monitor do you recommend, not the Apple One, another one? That really fits the quality of Macbook Pro Quality?
How much do you want to spend, what resolution do you want, and how important is hub, passthrough, stand adjustability specifics, and quality speakers? Sadly, there are not a ton of options that are both cosmetically as pleasing and as functionally pleasing. They all have some limitations.
This video has been really helpful. I’m in the market for a 16” MacBook Pro (currently using a Windows 7 2012 laptop - blue screen of death happens a lot) but was concerned with the whole silicon transition.
My country has a student offer where if you buy a Mac or iPad you get a free pair of AirPods but only till Oct 29th so time is against me waiting for all these Apple events haha! I think this has solidified my decision in getting the MacBook now - I’ll be making a HUGE leap from what I currently have so thanks for helping me 😁
But it's not possible to connect two monitors to one usb-c port so each time I'm docking it I have to plug in two adapters.
I can wait for 1. A refurbished 16inch MacBook Pro to come down below £2k or 2. Wait for the ARM based one. So yeah won’t upgrade this year with Big Sur working on my current MBP.
Got mine from B&h photo greatest mac I've had ever
Great advice. Don’t wait 1 or 2 yrs if your laptop is dead and you need to upgrade. Like I wouldn’t have thought that myself.
Good video!!
I don't know if I'm gonna buy the next generation of MacBooks; I need the Windows compatibility to run some development software that today I run under VirtualBox very well in my 15 inch MBP 2017. When I have a PowerBook (1.67ghz PPC G4) I use VirtualPC from Innotek (then buyed by Microsoft) and it runs so well, that the speed of those programs were very acceptable, but now, I don't even know if I will have the option to run any form of Windows with x86 32bits and 64bits instruction set.
Greg, thx for a great review. I WAS on the market for a new Macpro. I have a working 15" Mid 2010 Mac Pro i7 with a new battery replacing the ORIGINAL just recently. I love my laptop and never had any issues but now that I´m doing day-trading and working on my new setup, I was honestly a little concerned about my i7 not being able to sustain at least 3-4 monitors (+port compatibility(not) due to being an "outdated" model) , so I went out shopping until now. I´ll just wait a couple more years and see what happens. Won´t leave Mac but... I wont spend $3,600 for practically having "better speakers" on a new laptop. TEN years, BRO, flawless, except for... battery life, which is no biggie for me, and a lil overheated whenever it felt like, nothing good ventilation wouldn't fix. Thanx again!
so my MacBook pro 13 inch 2019 is hot on the startup for no reason. but the battery seems fine (stable battery level) and the engine itself also seems fine (still pretty fast). But the heat is somewhat annoying (even on startup). Plus I cant feel the cool air coming from under the lid (normally it's there). Does anyone know how to deal with this? Is this normal or just me? Cause even when its very hot I still can't hear any fan sounds... Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Should I buy the MBP 16” if I want it just for the sound quality while watching movies and videos? I heard it’s close to that of a HomePod.
It's very good sound quality for a laptop, and the screen is an absolute joy to use as is the massive trackpad. That said, it is an expensive way to go for watching movies given you could get a very good tablet (think iPad Pro 12.9), studio quality headphones or earbuds for the iPad, a very nice 50-inch 4k TV, and an audio system for the 4k TV that blows the MBP speakers out of the water all for the price of the base 16-inch MacBook Pro.
I just started a RUclips channel and photograph weddings.. my 2015 MacBook is a fossil😅 but I’m going yo hold off for the next one!

Hi! Good Video & Explanations.
Enjoyed watching your video. I want to get the 16 inch MBP however, I’ll probably wait because of the following: no SD Card, still using a 720p Webcam, the Touch Bar (don’t want it!!), and last, battery life (want 12 hours not 8-10).
