This happened because REGULAR FANS on social media pushed back. This shows we the people have some influence left. Maybe not in politics & things like that but with football we stepped up & raised a fuss. Great job everyone! Keep it up
@brailsmt We don't have much power they just let us think we do. Lockdowns, mask & Vax mandates showed us that. Open borders shows us that, etc. But I like the thought
Boise State is now getting a lot of money coming in for NIL to compete with because of Jeanty. They could be a threat in the future as well. It would have helped if you do a scheduling with the top G5 programs and schools like North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Montana and Montana State along with the top ACC. What hurt BYU and Houston this year was that they dropped their schedule meeting with Boise State for the newcomers. Keeping Boise on the schedule would have helped BYU in the long run.
Im sorry, but I don't see much of an eye test difference between BYU and SEC or Big 10 teams. Announcers constantly rage about the size and speed, blah, blah, blah. Ever check the size and speed of BYU's D? I think they have the fastest 3 LBs in college football. At least 2 of 3 will be in the NFL. OL is also huge, WRs are fast, anyone wat to race Parker Kingston? Ridiculous!
@James-m8j2w as could BYU beat anyone on any given day. Eye test was my point tho. That's why actual games are matter ... unless somewhat robbed by refs (sorry ASU).
@dirkpalmer1067 yeah you're right and yes, a game was stolen by a ref. At the moment the college game is about what player can get the best deal money wise. B1G Conference has a lot of money and the college teams are more like the situation as farm clubs as in AAA baseball.
After seeing some post-season games: Stock up: - ASU, Ohio St, ND, Michigan, BYU Stock down: - Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina Can't say stock up on Ole Miss. They beat Duke. Miami arguably down. Colorado arguably down. LSU arguably up.
@@AlohaBlockchain I think it was 17-14 at one point until Penn State scored in the third and then late in the fourth. Boise State did kept the game close for a while unlike SMU who fell behind early in the game. One thing you said about Boise State? People said the exact same thing back when they took Oklahoma on in the Fiesta Bowl and beat them. The one thing you don't do is sleep on them or they will beat you which is how dangerous they are.
Finebaum gets paid by ESPN and podcasters to ruffle feathers. He is as consistent as Dan O but they keep paying them to offer opinions no matter how incorrect they are.
The BIG is the best conference by far this year, 3 of the 4 best teams are on the BIG. Ot took the BIG beating itself and bad seeding to stop the BIG from having 3 teams in the semis. If the BIG wins another Natty this year, everybody should just bow down
The NIL + Portal thing isn't just taking down Blue-Bloods in football, it's taking them down in basketball too (and I'm a Kansas guy saying this): In April 2022, Kansas and UNC played for the championship , but how have they (or Kentucky) done for the last two tournaments and now how are they doing this year? They've been "good" but none of them have been "great" like they used to be all the time.
Hey team down south fans... Your team came in 3rd place in the Weak XVI. You didn't win a conference because you didn't even make the Championship game to begin with. So for all those tds on here crying that their team should have made the playoffs... Cry more for me. Hilarious.
Why do you care so much about what Paul has to say? And didn't you say a few days ago that Paul just runs his mouth for views and likes (Click bait). And that nothing he says matters. But yet this somehow matters. Let me fill you in on a not so secret 😏, Paul is a joke! He talks trash to get under the skin of fans from other conferences, and for the most part, it works! And it's very entertaining 😄.
SMU was not the best option. I don't care how teams do in bowl games because they mean absolutely nothing. How would they function in the 12 team? GTFOH with that bullshit
As a Big 12 supporter and ASU grad I disagree with your thesis. Georgia only lost that game because their QB was injured. They had a freshman QB who had not even played a full game yet. UGA's defense only gave up 16 points. The Dawgs simply did score enough because of a rookie QB. The analogy would be the Bills losing Josh Allen for the playoffs. Two things can be right at the same time. The SEC was not as strong at the top compared to past years and Indiana did not deserve to be in the playoff. You have to play better non conference games Big 10 members. For those who watch these games you will agree the one team that should have been in based on how they played all year was not Bama but, it was Ole Miss. Jackson Dart broke records, he had weapons and they had a stout defense with experience. Losing at hole to Kentucky cost them a chance but they played like a top 12 team and Bama did not. BYU also deserved a ticket if it had been 14 or 16 teams.
Lies. Georgia lost because Notre Dame outplayed them. Notre Dame was way more physical than Georgia and was simply better coached. Georgia has all the talent in the world, no excuses for them.
Everybody has injuries and opt outs in bowl games. They've been lucky enough to avoid it this long but the reality is, they couldn't beat ND when they were supposed to.
I love this channel. John's constant crying is funny. I wonder how he's going to feel when the SEC poaches 2 more teams from the Big 12 because the money and future revenue from the NFL model is too good to pass up. A school is only as loyal as it's options.
Remember, the admission is not that the SEC was weak all along. He’s acknowledging the equally obvious fact that history has caught up with them by virtue of NIL. I like OU football and love Kentucky hoops once 1970. I don’t care about conferences . Go Notre Dame.
Doesn’t matter what Finebaum said … he’ll be the same SEC simp next year
