Just a tip wash your rice in a separate bowl from the rice cooker bowl , cuz the rice kinda scratched the bowl and it ruins it longevity and removes the non stick coating .
I did this with thighs and with breast since I like breast more and it's a great recipe. Thank you so much for this! So easy to just season and walk away. I did Oyakodon a week later and again delicious.
Nice work! I hope you can answer my question though: that rice cooker is it also a pressure cooker? How long does it take to cook the chicken? I want to try it out! But I haven’t seen that sort of rice cooker 😮
Not so much pressure as it's also a steamer. It takes the same cycle time as the rice takes to cook which is between 35-55 mins. The cook time varies with the age of the rice. Older rice is dryer and takes longer. Her cooker is one of the standard ones you find in most Asian counties but you see them in the US now too.
I never salt anything, all the seasoning have salt in them but some people eat so much salt, they like stuff heavily salted. Their taste tolerance becomes high with salt.
Just the boullion paste alone has a ton of salt, not even getting into the soy sauces and oyster sauce ahah. It's SUPER salt. There's research that sodium content isn't actually terrible for every person though, so it may not be a big deal - for her. I can't imagine eating that though, it'd taste like a salt brick to me.
Yes it does :) I've done chicken and pork in mine and it cooked well. If you're worried just check the chicken is cooked before you eat it but I haven't had any issues.
It will come out mushy, you can just do this on the stove. 2 to 1 ratio, 1 cup of rice 2 cup of chicken broth, boil water then turn to low put in rice stir it then add chicken, cover keep it on low for about 20-25 mins. If chicken does cook all the way just keep it covered and turn off the stove for about 15 mins.
people here comment about the recipe and I am just still envious that you have chicken broth/stock in a freaking pack ready to use same with stockpaste and boneless chicken parts... in my country you don't get this . the only thing you get is broth powder ...
@@rasmusvestergaard4155 dont worry bro, cooking is far from an exact science on recipes like these. You can wing it and it will turn out fine pretty much guaranteed. If you use considerably more or less chicken than she did you can adjust the amount of sauces, etc used accordingly, but if you are in the same ballpark as her on amounts it will be fine.
Rather than blowing $$$.00 on one of these programmable so-called "rice cookers", if you want to make something like this for supper, save your money and make it on top of the stove. Yes, you heard me correctly - on top of the stove.
Recipe looks easy & less mess... But the sauces are a over load, for a Cardiac Arrest!!! Which makes the rice look less appealing; almost like a clump of clay... Less sensationalized & more common sense...
this looks like something I would actually eat once or twice a week
I made this today, and it was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it, and it was so easy and convenient, with everything being in one pot.
hey i have a question is your rice cooker a cheap one? i wanna do this too but i am a litrle bit afraid bc of the chicken
I have to be honest, yes my rice cooker is cheap and really old 😅
But it worked fine, and the chicken was thoroughly cooked throughout.
did you also put the veggies in the pot to cook??
@@RoZaly-lm8ge No, just chicken and rice.
This my second time in a week making this it so delicious
Thank you for sharing. Added to my # 1 go to list.

@@gabrielles1851 thanks for
The reply Gabrielles1851 🥰 appreciated!
what option do you use on the rice cooker? mixed, porridge, or just regular setting?
Looks salty af
Is this a lot of sodium though? With the broth and sauces?
And the paste! That paste has a lot of sodium
I never salt anything, all the seasoning have salt in them but some people eat so much salt, they like stuff heavily salted. Their taste tolerance becomes high with salt.
It's on the higher side. Just adjust to your tolerance.

Nice healthy quick! Easy to make vegan too
Massive amounts of sodium. You are using bouillon AND salt AND soy sauce AND chicken stock paste! 😮
❤❤
I love you 😊
How long do you actually cook it?
Can u share a link to your rice cooker?
Lucky chopsticks 🤤
❤Omg❤
Does this work with one of the old fashioned plain rice cookers? I don't have a fancy programmable model.
Yes it does :) I've done chicken and pork in mine and it cooked well. If you're worried just check the chicken is cooked before you eat it but I haven't had any issues.
How do you get the rice to not stick to the rice cooker pan?
Kao Men Gai
I’d cook this with a skinless chicken thighs, otherwise it gets mushy and it doesn’t taste good.
What settings did u put the rice cooker on
I would have to take the skin off, but I’d make this.
Dude, your rice cooker has my brothers nickname on it!
😂😂😂 what a coincidence. A couple of my friends have the same name.
Kool I like it easy.. but why I feel I don’t want to touch raw chicken…😊😀
You’ll be fine if you wash your hands thoroughly with hot water and antibacterial soap afterwards. Or, you can always wear disposable gloves 😮
I thought the rice cooker was a cd player at first
how do u know how much water to use when adding meat?
Can this be adjusted for a crockpot?

Beautiful. Damn.
Sort of a Hainan chicken rice.
can any ricecooker do this? mine have only one button
dam, never use to the rice cooker for anything other than rice, avoid cross contamination but if you clean it real good, go for it.
That rice must taste so good
Man she is gorgeous 😍 she
I would pan-fry the chicken afterwards cuz i dont like the skin like that or imma just throw away the skin 😂
I desperately need to find and marry this girl.
This model is about 400$?
Someone should marry her
Try and add salt to your rice and that's where the flavor come from trust me you need to use salt as how much rice you are going to make
is it really safe to put raw chicken in there?
Yes, since a closed sealed rice cooker model. There are other rice cooker that don't seal that well.
It's heated through and cooked .
What is this she is cooking in?
Rice cooker
It is wild to me that these cooking shorts never ever post how much chicken is actually in it.
Brother midway through she gives a recipe list while making the marinade and it shows '2 boneless chicken thighs' at the very top
@jooooohn401 really would make it easier if weighed them tbh but I guess I could just wing it

its giving.. soo much sodium for 1 meal
