@@purityweptyo it may sound petty as hell because it is lmao, but his general unwarranted disinterest or gripes with IA songs made me unsub 😅 just couldn't take him seriously.
I swear there’s no song to skip on this album. This album is pure perfection and the peak of music in my opinion. I really enjoyed your reaction, keep rocking, dude🎉👌🏼 Invent Animate Forever🤍
Hollow light has always been my favorite from this album. Actually, it is thanks to that song that i fell in love with Invent! Eden and monarch being my second and third favorite.
Fairly confident you’ll enjoy this even more with time. Def has a different flavor of complexity in certain ways compared to Heavener for a first listen. It’s such a fun ride front to back. Glad you checked it out! The replay value of this band is something I’ve yet to find anywhere else 👊🏻
Yo dude! Cloud Cascade here 🌧 after seeing how much you enjoyed Heavener, I was stoked to see you experience the gem that is Greyview. It is a different venture than Heavener but both really shine in their own ways. Sorry for the incoming wall of text, but, in short, I lost my Dad in late 2018 and music played such an integral role in my healing process. When I first heard Cloud Cascade in 2019, it become one of my favorite songs I had ever heard, period. I had listened to their prior albums Everchanger and Stillworld, but as much as I loved the instrumental elements and the heavier vocals he could do, I was never a huge fan of Ben English' (their prior vocalist) voice. So when Greyview finally dropped in early 2020 it really was monumental in carrying me through some rough times. It 100% will require multiple listens to absorb it all but when it fully sinks into you it will be there for life. As with Heavener, re-listening while reading the lyrics will give an even deeper appreciation, these guys are true poets. My "growers" for this album were Dark, Reflection Room and Shapeshifter. But with time I just fell in love with all of it ❤ I'd suggest if you have some free time to check out their Greyview retrospective here on YT. Gives some insight into the recording process for Greyview and in my opinion, a bigger appreciation not only for the album, but the band as well. Thanks again for the upload man, looking forward to suggesting other stuff 🤘🏼 also I'd say Cloud Cascade, Hollow Light, Monarch, Fireside, Halcyon and Nova are my tops. But realistically, I can spin this album any day of the week and enjoy all of it 🎉 and a cat cameo is always appreciated, my cats love metal music 😂 no joke will come hang wherever I turn it on in the house.
Damn dude. I can see why this album meant so much to you! I can totally relate since my Dad passed away that same year actually. Music is such a beautiful thing that brings everyone together! Thanks again for the request!
As always, a dope reaction brother. I listened to this when it dropped and Peter said it best below: "a different flavor of variety" compared to...not just Heavener, literally other bands in this genre but especially this band. A true LP of bangers. Join the discord friends! We got...more LPs full of bangers!
Same thing for me. I happened to pick up a song from this album for my playlist, then watching your full album reaction to Heavener got me hooked. Keep it up!
I disagree with your comment that this feels like old Northlane, but Stillworld and Everchanger definitely have more of that vibe for sure. Absolutely love this band. Greyview is my favourite from them for sure.
Finally! Great to see you check it out. Maybe you'll check their other stuff like Stillworld and Everchanger. I'm especially excited for you to hear Stillworld (my first introduction to them). Greyview is their first with their current vocalist Marcus, so everything before was with their original vocalist Ben (whom I still miss, I loved his vocals and lyrics, but Marcus and the band have done very well for themselves in carrying on and continuing to evolve for sure). You should definitely check out The Sun Sleeps EP too that comes after this album and before the newest one if you haven't. On that one you start to hear sort of a preview of where the band is now on Heavener, especially in Marcus' improving vocals since Greyview (which were already good, but he definitely got better in the cleans department after Greyview, noticeably on The Sun Sleeps... EP. You should definitely check out Silent Planet too. Another band I feel you shouldn't sleep on/won't want to miss out on. Also highly recommend Erra as well if you havent heard. Pretty much all I said about Silent Planet applies here too. If you know Invent you definitely should know Erra too, and Currents. And Northlane of course. And Architects. Counterparts and Reflections (especially Reflections on Color Clear album) I'd also recommend. It seems everything's connected to everything else in this haha which isnt a bad thing. Small world. Have a good one dude, best wishes \m/
Great video! Yeah you should definitely check out some Silent Planet. They don’t have a bad album, but you might as well start with their most recent one Iridescent.
smash like for an appearance from my cat kovu :3
Everchanger, Stillworld, Greyview, and Heavener are 10/10 🥶
@@whocouldthisbe111 totally agree 👍🏼
FACTZ BRO I SWEAR . Their consistency is scary
Agree 1000% idc what metalbirb says!! 😂😂
