I wasn’t a massive fan of Burying Brightness but man does this album slap

For me its slaughterhouse cyperhex meltdown masterpiece and sign of life that’s it

bilmuri should be called "vibecore" 100%. this whole record is just flawless.

I do wanna give it to the so called "haters" the breakdowns aren't as long but it seemed all that energy was all put into songs like Nails (spelled Nail5)....

It's called a harpsichord. They're rad.

As interesting as this EP is, I'd love to hear a sound this heavy, sharp, and noisy combined with some vocals. That would really complete the picture here.

If you have not yet listened to Donna from a couple years ago, it was a tribute to Josh Miller’s grandmother Donna who passed away, the video Features Josh’s real life grandpa who also passed away recently for which this video was tribute to. This video and song illustrates his grandpa’s heart ache without her and their reunion on the other side when he passed. If you see the letter in the video is signed “Donna”…..each song is different in tone, but both heavy on emotion.

Gonna be honest. Not really vibin with this one. There were a few parts where I was like oh this goes kinda hard. But there was just too much chaotic moments that I was just not a fan of. Nothing to really grab and hold onto for a little bit. Not enough repetition of certain parts I felt like they should have repeated. The production is obviously crazy good though.

so, blake hardmann from former couterparts, did most of the guitar riffs on this album. i wish he could do a pt2 of this album, but his gf Hillary did her own ep and n,n did release a tape etournal tape that features 3 songs and its on n,n archive. yt

dig it hits much different if you were there for Oli’s speech at the apmas and knowing what he went through afterwards during the pandemic

Bullet with my name on is extremely chaotic especially on first listen but it's screams Underoath (TOCS era) and also Sleeping with Sirens-ish. The high note in the bridge is epic but overall even after listening many times over it is just a little bit too busy imo

5D and Sora were such welcome songs in this album. i love those two so much.

I dont love this one quite as much as the No One Should Read This/Matriphagy material but it's got a lot of good stuff & some great hooks. It's funny all the material was written around the same time bc there's a noticeable tonal difference, this one is a bit heavier & more chaotic, less dynamic, maybe a little more deathcore. But they're about the closest thing that I've heard to a modern metal band that really captures the spirit of Slipknot, Korn, SoaD, Linkin Park with a competent metal vocalist, and definitely some Chester Bennington influence.

Would be keen for you to go back and listen to their DCX2 EP or self titled Album. AK0 makes a lot more sense musically if you're familiar with their early works. These guys go crazy live!

Great reaction!! Putting this here for future reference: if you keep listening to this album, Pleasures will skyrocket in your list of favorite songs. I kinda hate when people reinforce their early opinions of songs on one another 😅 ... not hating on twitch chat (I've been on twitch since it was called Justin TV lol) but yeah, you can't expect to digest music this deep in one sitting (not saying you are claiming to do that). Same goes for many other songs , but these take TIME to understand (and THEN you can choose to enjoy it or not) but it's so funny to witness the same process I went through listening to the album (I've had it for over a week due to connections 😅) from the outside. Anyway, if you do keep listening and you remember to come back to this comment, I'd be interested to hear how your opinions have changed on some of the songs. Like all masterpiece bands/artists, Darko makes music that takes many many many listens to understand. I won't brag here but I'm somewhat proficient in musical things, and it takes my ass many times to understand wtf is happening even, and about 95% of the time after that happens, the song becomes a 10/10 for me. Baby J's mind is an enigma. He really loves PS1 and PS2 OST, and I love that. Every genre at the turn of the century plastered into one with modern producing and djent on top. In many ways they are like the deathcore stepsibling of Bring Me in this respect. (by the way, Baby J- aguably more famous for his tenure in Emmure)

This is my album of the year atm. Darko have consistently blown me away every album.
