It has been a cold, dark and grey winter. I totaly agree that seeing green grass, green leaves is just what we need now. No more winter backlashes with snow and cold.

I got close to a black lab once that was very well trained, but owned by a bank security specialist who died many years ago, so I haven't had a chance to see either one of them for a long time.

I could see from the opening shot of you and Aika walking along the trail that it was gonna be a winner! And it was really a beautiful film, Vanessa. I liked when you turned your back on Aika a moment and she walks off with your hammer... The part of you explaining the engineering behind your construction, and the absolute dedication to perfection was precious.. The green... Hallo Vanessa, it's good to see you back doing bushcraft and being happy, the shelter you made was good and low because heat will stay in a small place a lot longer and keep a person warm 😊, an idea for digging out would be to carry a garden hand ✋️ trowel they can be made of hard plastic so wouldn't be to heavy to carry in a backpack because your hands are important and you need to show people you are carrying a first-aid kit because you need to clean your wound and protect it then it won't hurt .
You had some nice items from Spanish bushcraft I'm sure people will be interested and Hi to Aika .

by 0:49 my eyes were already scouring the trees [from waist height down] for square / rectangle shaped boxes with dark circles on the front.

I am very sorry that I missed your live video. But was asleep on my side of the globe. I wanted so badly to say thank you 🙏 for all your help in teaching me the correct way to do things. You’re still my spirit guide of our blood line of German descent. Gosh…, I really can’t use words to describe the smile you bring to me. In this video you speak a lot of German and English. We call this broken English. It’s helps in translation and to learn it faster. But to see your smile in doing what you like enlightening others to become a better person. Been moving around Alot to avoid my stalker like you have. But will never give up on you and your teachings, cooking, survival skills etc., always faithful.

So breathtaking watching you in the woods. A stealth camping area with a Dakota fire is something I been waiting on you to do. I am sure you know that even a dakpta fire must be put out properly so as not to create an enviroment that will cause it to burn roots or other debris underground causing massive forest fire. Vanessa, it's so great to see you back in the forest again and doing what you love! This video brought together several different elements that make a great video by you. You start off with the hike in, and then you gather your materials for what you're doing. Of course, this time you had Aika along and she wanted the sticks just as much as you did! The comedy was hilarious! It does suck that you got a blister on your hand. I hope it's healing up nicely now.
Here's a question for you. Here in the States when we're kids we always loved making tree forts or climbing up in trees to get up off the ground. I'm not sure if you ever did that as a kid, but I'm curious, have you ever attempted to stay the night in a tree? I don't know if you have huge trees around where you could do that, but it would certainly make you try something completely new, and would give you a view of the area that you never had before. If nothing else, I've put the idea in your head now and who knows, you might start looking for trees big enough to try it. From a safety perspective, few people ever look up high when they're going through a forest so you're more likely to never be seen.

Great video Vanessa and a great shelter (But it didn't have to be perfect lol) Your Dog it so beautiful and cute, it was so funny when it ran off with your log/hammer and it looked so happy when it was no use to you so it got it back.
The way I stealth camp is a green tarp covered with green camo. Then I kick up leaves around and on the camo to break up the outline. I either put two very low treking poles or two small sticks on either end. That allows me enough room for me, my mat and sleeping bag on one side and my back pack on the other. I tend to put a bottom tarp because of critters that bite coming out of the ground, such as ticks, and to create a moisture barrier from dew and damp. I live in the UK, where it rains 90% of the time, all year round.

Vanessa your fire pit is a variation of what the military use.
However we did it differently.
This is how we did it.
You did two pits about 2 ft deep round or square does not matter and you just join the two together with a conecting tunnel.
In one you have the fire the other permits the smoke to go away. On second pit we covered with stickz leaves and moss.
Thus your fire pit is not detected unless they are on top of it. What you might call a stealth fire pit. Hope it helps

If you add a 158 liter plastic trash bags or two to your kit you could fill them with leaves and use them for a ground pad if the weather turns cold . 😉
