- Distracted from the Hunt - Defeat all enemies in Leech Hunter [Silver / 30 GS]
You have to kill all default enemies and all respawning enemies when you collect 90 gems. For getting this trophy, collect 50 gems with Rebecca and 40 gems with Billy. The respawning enemies are 21 regular zombies and 1 bug.
General Information
- Play the SMG variation. If you want try with magnum variation, use magnum for killing hunters only.
- In this video, I'll show you how to get the SMG and a step-step walkthrough guide. I dont include Leech Charms locations. If you need that information, use this video: • Resident Evil 0 HD Rem...
- For a strange reason, I didnt get this trophy in my first try, but I got it in my second run. So if this happen to you, try again. I think the game has a bug or glitch.
- The trophy pops up when you kill the last enemy.
- Make sure all zombies are dead. Some zombies are playing dead (Dirty rats). If you see a pool of blood around, the zombie is 100% dead.
Step by Step Walkthrough Guide (Timeline)
0:29 - Step 0: Play the SMG variation. There're two leech hunter's variations, SMG variation and Magnum variation. Each variation have different main gun, but they're a almost identical. SMG is more easy because you can kill Hunters and other enemies faster, also SMG has more ammunition than magnum weapon.
1:50 - Step 1: Use the shotgun for killing Spiders and Monkeys. This monkeys are very tough enemies. Dont worry about the damage because you will use one character later. Also Billy is the best character because he has more health than Rebecca.
3:18 - Step 2: Use all shotgun ammo on Monkeys. There're 2 shotgun in this minigame, so use it for killing the monkeys only.
4:28 - Step 3 (I forgot to incluide step 3): Leave empty shotgun and try to get SMG if you have yellow or orange health status.
5:25 - Step 4: Play as Billy and get SMG.
7:00 - Step 5: Use SMG for killing the Hunters in the second shotgun room. There're 4 hunters here.
8:05 - Step 6: Kill the last two monkeys.
9:08 - Step 7: Get Custom Handgun. This step is 100% optional. There're 3 Hunters in the corridor behing Knight Door.
10:40 - Step 8: Get Grenade Launcher. It will help you to kill Minicry Marcus. There're 2 Hunters in the Animals puzzle room. Also a few zombies on the ground. You can kill them by stomping on them.
13:45 - Step 8.1 (sorry for the numbers mistakes). There're 3 spiders here and two bugs. Use the grenade launcher for killing them.
14:50 - Step 9: Kill Mimicry Marcus and the last bugs. There're zombies on the ground in the observatory.
20:20 - Step 10: Kill Hunters and crows.
29:44 - Final Step: When you have 90 gems, the new enemies will start to show up. 21 regular zombies and 1 bug. You should have a lot of ammo for killing everyone. Also you should get the trophy when you kill the last one.

At first glance this seemed like a very unorthodox strategy. I don't even know how someone would know how to get this trophy without detailed guidance. Anyway, it worked - doing the tough stuff upfront was smart, and thankfully I got the trophy first try. I like when the trophy pops up too because you can backtrack and get the rest of Billy's leeches. Thanks for the trophy guide, I used many of them (don't get me started on that Bat one...) to help get the Platinum Trophy. Thanks!

Thanks buddy, I got the platinum trophy thanks to you! A strategy I would add is knifing the zombies laying on the floor, as well as the crows and the 4 insects where they can not attack you.

Playing here I find something: Its possible to kill the Mimicry guys w/ only 2 acid rounds. Just wait he turns red. Then you shoot! They are simply invincible when green...

Thank you for taking the time to make this video =) It kept giving me Green + Blue herb so I said screw it lol. But I am using your guide as a reference and it's helping a lot. I almost miss that one zombie laying down in Fire Room. Also I have question, does it make a difference where enemies re-spawn between Green + Green as compared to Green + Blue or is that more for the guns?

This helped me Rank A and get the trophy. I did notice something strange in my game though. In the room with the movable bookcase, one dead zombie never disappeared. He was lying there the entire time (couldn't shoot him; no blood). I was worried it was a glitch but I did get the trophy.

+Kurogane KH Thanks for your words. Magnum revolver is in the room 202, next to the first save room in the train. Rocket launcher will be in the Rebecca's inventory and SMG will be in the Billy's inventory when you play once again the game (use the same save file when you complete leech hunter mini game.)

Thanks for the video buddy, it really helped me out, especially the note that you have to kill every regular enemy before the respawn. That probably messed up a lot of trophy runs on the first try.
A little side note and maybe it's just me (+no offense, the video is awesome and very helpful): "Random" speed ups during a guide suck, you're constantly pausing the video like "What did he/she do just now", "How many bullets does he/she have left".
I used your video as a reference for my leech hunter hard run and I had plenty of handgun bullets left, I think around 50 but nothing else. It seems like the Mimicry Markus, monkeys and spiders sometimes take more than what you had to use, so better ammo can be tight for a hard run, but if you're not completely unlucky or miss too much it should still be possible.
It also seems like the respawn zombies were a lot weaker than the regular ones, they only took around half the bullets.

Question. When shooting zombies, or anything. If you leave the room while they are still alive, then come back, does their health go back to full? Or do they still retain the damage you gave them before exiting?

Thx dude. Shit was intense. 3 hours and no saving. Had 1 last grenade round left after killing the last zombie. One of the most, if not the most difficult RE out there. Also the hard mode is a pain in the butt.
I would have to disagree, as for the difficulty. I found the original RE remake to be way harder, not only does it give only 3 hours for the speed run but it'll keep you burdend with knife only & invisible mode... I for one enjoyed RE0 after that.
@@DRjuckinog in leech minigame of re0 you don't get infinite ammu tho. In resident evil remake you do after beating it under 3 hours.

I messed up during the 1st attempt using another guide. Your speed train guide was flawless!! TIP for other trophy hunters: make sure you get rid of the storymode trophies first like S Rank, Hard Mode, Finish without saving etc etc. Than start a new game on easy mode and save it on a new slot! Reload the new slot, play the extra game (easy mode) and after that you can fully concentrate factor747's guide. Last but not least: make sure you kill Marcus FOUR TIMES (2 times on the first floor and 2 times on the ground floor in the west hall. Make sure you kill FOUR crows, if you killed only 3, try to shoot a couple of times in the room and the trophy might pop. Otherwhise it could be a glitch.

Dude, you know shotgun has area attack on classic Resident Evil games, you never aim down, line atacks will damage all the area, when you aim down you hit just one enemy.

I've done this twice on both variants (magnum and SMG). Everytime I did this I've chekech every room before respawn at least twice, and done the same after the respawn. I've checked every lying zombie and I never got the trophy. What's wrong, I'm pretty sure I haven't miss a thing, it's infuriating, I've wasted 4 hours on those two runs. :(

speeding things up, specially when item managing, is a godsend. good call. there's guides out there in which you can hear the person picking their nose and scratching their heads wondering what to do next. it's supposed to be a guide, not a let's play. great guide.

OMG dude thank you for showing enemy locations like all the old gamecube guides don't specify that. I personally used Napalm Grenade Launcher and Magnum but that took me 3 hours and your video is only a little over 30 minutes so you probably have the better route.
+TehNewParalyzer No, it took me like 2 hours and 30 minutes aprox, I skipped the gems collections part. That is why the video has 30 minutes.

So if you see a zombie lying on his back after you re-enter room, that mean you have to restart? Can't shoot or knife it.

ITS NOT A GLITCH!! followed the guide, didnt get the trophy after last enemy and I lost it! but I didnt give up...went back to the red key door on second floor long after i had been there and killed the enemies on the ground...you forgot to move the desk which had a zombie under it. When I went back to that room and discovered him he was still there they dont "die alone". Killed him and the trophy popped. People need to get it together because if I went on this alone I would have wasted 8 hrs .

what if you dont kill all the enemies before collecting the gems, will the new enemies respawn still? i dont wanna miss 1 enemy and then he dissapears or glitches out the new ones or some weird twist
+MelodicsRareMusicVid For collecting the 90 gems, you have to get in to every room, so you will need to kill every enemy. The most of respawning enemies appear in "empty rooms", beware in balcony room and ammunition room (this room is in the basement BF1, in the spider corridor at the beginning of the video). By the way, I got this trophy in my second attempt.
The spiders right near the start of this guide, take 3 shot gunshots to kill on my playthrough.
I am playing Leech Hunter from a 'hard mode' loaded save file, so that could be why..

Yes, thankfully I got it in the end, I just never checked the kitchen for so long because there are no enimies in there by default, and when I did it was literally the last room I checked.

I'm so angry... I did this once, and somehow ran out of all ammo by the last 4 zombies (I guess I was stupid and shot all the zombies on the floor instead of stomping/knifing). Did all I could to kill them with the knife, could only get them down to two. To make it even better, the last 2 blue leeches were in this room, so I couldn't even salvage the run by getting 100 leeches anyway. Did it again today, killed everything, got all 100... achievement didn't unlock. Epic. No way in hell am I doing this a third time... guess I'll use SAM... thanks for the guide though, seems to have worked... maybe you can get a chuckle out of my little story : P

@@rintheskyking Here's a nifty trick... before you leave the room, pick up every jewel BUT DO NOT PUT THEM IN YOUR INVENTORY. That way, your map would track down every jewel you missed during the picking up phase of the walkthru..

2. How do players know if Rebecca has to bring 50 green charms and Billy has 40 blue charms.
yesterday I tried it, I've killed all the enemies in every room, but the trophy doesn't appear. I go back to every room I enter and see no more enemies.
I re-checked the description of how to get this trophy ``defeat all enemies in leech hunter ''.
I really think this is an issue bug.
I did I everything but still can get the trophy do I have to do it in normal mode ? Because I did it on easy mode I killed all the enemies and the 21 zombies + bug but I didn’t get the stupid trophy plzzz help
I spent about three hours looking for every single inch of that house. I killed everything. It did not pop.

Well, the only place where you can put the last 10 is the Billy's inventory because each character can have 50 gems only. You can play it on Easy Mode, but if you follow my guide, the hardest steps are at the beginning of the video, so if you fail or if you are not doing so well, you can try again and dont lose too much time.

You can do your own route, but I made the best way because I killed the hardest enemies first and I had a lost of ammo when the respawing zombies came out.

+Jordan Ferreira It's on normal difficulty. You can't drop your gems when you pick them up like another item, that is why you need one character with 40 and the other one with 50 gems.

Wish i knew that respawing enemies also count before attempting this...

same happened to me. I took out everything and assumed the trophy would pop once I exited, only realised respawns counted after the fact. Have to do it again for all of once colour anyway, so I don't mind doing a third run. Have a system worked out for it.

Yes, If it didn't pop up, it's because a zombie might play dead. It happened me too. I had to play again.

did anything just like you did in this guide. but just in the final step i totally ran out of ammo, while you still have like 150 bullets for the pistol. HOW?!
+TubedFisch Mmm when I killed 4 hunters in the basement (where the second shotgun is), I left my pistol bullet on the ground, but I went back for them later.

so.. i followed this guide exactly, all of it everything. and before i finished i spent a bunchhhh of time going in every single area again and didnt find anything at all. i was so sure i did every thing but apparently i still didnt get this trophy... i cant do that alll again it took me hourss. i hate this game. there was only 1 body on the floor in the library, but i saw you did not try to kill it on the ground and when i tried billys gun never pointed to it ever and i tried shooting from a distance, nothing happened so i assumed he just stays. Thats the 1 and only body i saw that entiree timeee..
UPDATE: nvm i got it. The comments were right it was just a bug i got it on my 2nd time through

Last 2 god damn zombies left. No health left. Only two knives for rebecca and Billy. Both zombies at full health. Killed them both, with Billy on yellow caution and Rebecca on danger. FUCK YES
