This was literally first thing I thought. Doing the Lords work for the rest of us. All seriousness tho the blu ray looks perfect and getting it for 10 bucks is a steal and won't make you feel as bad if a 4k does eventually come around.
Whoa, you got your package already???? Mine hasn't even shipped yet and I ordered them on teh second day. Of course, I didn't realize they were going to put additional items on sale a week later, otherwise I would have waited.
lol, i also just gave in and bought the Day of the Dead BR after reading about the issues with the source material, though i went with the Umbrella edition. The 5.1 audio mix is actually really good, and preferred way of watching it, compared to the 2 previous movies where the mono track was the superior method. I to am in the camp of this being the best of the Dead trilogy, not to mention this is the film that gave us the zombie look we all know and love (sorry blue zombie fans).
That Day of the Dead Blu Ray looks great. It also has the Original Theatrical Cover art on the reverse side. Wish I got it with the slipcover, but they absolutely have to figure out how to scan that in 4K.
My order was big upgrades all to 4K : The Halloween 4K Collection box (6, H20 & Resurrection just to have them all on 4K.. already had the H20 Steelbook 4K), Halloween 3, Halloween 1978, They Live (Steelbook), Dead Silence, My Bloody Valentine Collectors Edition box set plus all of the awesome extras! (like $140 usually, i got it for 70), The Fog (Steelbook) & Pumpkinhead. Really looking forward to this mail day! Got all of this for under $300 after tax
Wow, Scanners II and III, I got that one a LONG time ago. Definitely was a cheesy fun romp of charming early 90s made-for-tv quality. I remember it being unintentionally funny but the charm factor was so nostalgic!
I finally got the Halloween 6, H2O and Resurrection box set with this sale for $70. Not a big fan of those movies, but still wanted to round out that collection. Glad I could do it for that price.
@@BuckyH04 mine as well my disc don't even click into place it just stays there very annoying.i ordered my replacement from Amazon hopefully it's bit better aleast and no scratch disc
I placed two orders first order was the critters box set, eight legged freaks and the house on Willow Street. Not that pleased with the house on Willow Street. Lastnights order was the ring 4k collection, the haunting 4k, creepshow 4k and the poison Ivy bluray collection. Can't wait for those to come in and Unrelated to the sale I ordered The psycho blue ray collection. Wish it was 4k, but that's ok
I have the 4K upgrade fear for Night of the Creeps so I've been holding out for like 2 years haha. Other movies that I don't care that much about I just pickup the blu
I grabbed all the childs play films in 4k. I'm kinda disappointed tho, the first one and the third one were kinda banged up and that surprised me. Like part three literally has a cracked case
I took the opportunity to get Halloween 4 and 5 on 4K. I now have all of them on 4k except Curse of Michael Myers and Resurrection, and still not wild about buying the boxed set with Halloween H2O. Perhaps they will come out singly this next year on 4k.
I'm still waiting on my shocktober order. But I also picked up Day of the Dead because of what I was hearing about any 4k transfer. Can't wait! But Dawn & Day of the Dead are my favorites. Day of the Dead probably doesn't seem like as classic because it came out the same year as Return of the Living Dead. And that was a fresh take at the time. Also picked up Night of the Demons 4k & some of the Halloween 4k 's.
@@BIOHAZARDRUSGaming the film negatives, the source material being damaged or missing. The best they can do is take the standard bluray and upscale it.
Day of the Dead isn't as immediately as likeable as Dawn Dead, but it does really grow on you and sits pretty high up in the best horror of the mid 80s.
Scanner Cop 1 and 2 are sequels to the first three Scanners films. Scanner Cop 2 was the last film in the series, which was straight to video. David Cronenberg wanted nothing to do with any of the sequels because, despite writing the first film, he had no rights to the film or anything else. I don't blame him.
I would've thought Scream Factory was over that crap - you buy 2 movies and get 2 discs, you assume you're getting 1 movie per disc but they give you a DVD instead, with 2 movies on each disc? Come on. I mean, that may have been ok 15 years ago when blu-ray was still relatively new, but now? Blu-ray collectors do not need or watch DVDs any more...for the most part anyway. I can understand when they do 4ks and blu-rays together but most collectors don't watch DVDs unless they have to, they have blu-ray and possibly 4k players in multiple locations now
Ho-Tep on 4K. I'm so excited to get all of those, but before I do that, I have to get rid of the Garbage Sony UBP-X700 4k player. All it does is freeze up no matter what I did. I suggest staying away from those.
What about survival of the dead, land of the dead and diary of the dead he made those to lol. They were not as good but still good zombie fun. I shouldn’t say that I have not seen survival of the dead. It could be bad lol
Another awful shocktober sale from scream factory. Every year my hatred from that company continues. Like i don’t understand how some of their older releases were still not $15 dollars or lower. And I wanted to get funeral home and passed on it because I saw somebody get their copy with no slipcover which doesn’t make sense because it came out this year
Thanks for buying Day of the Dead on blu-ray so now they'll announce it for 4k. 😂
Haha... hopefully...
The word is the element is MIA currently, so I don't know about that one.
@djdepression The second Ken bought the bluray the element magically reappeared. That's just science!

Terror Vision is underrated.
It’s so much fun!
Terror Vision is one of my comfort movies.
Over the years, Day of the Dead became my favorite of the 3. Love the atmosphere and soundtrack. Classic lines.

Nice pickups, Kenny. I hope you at least do a short on TerrorVision.
Love "Day of the dead"!!!!!!!!

Dude IMO Day of the Dead is the best one out of the original trilogy
Definitely

I purchased mine and my resurrection disc had marks sadly and it did freeze twice
My discs had all fell out and they weren’t scratched but they work

Love 6 and h2o.
I've had Day of the Dead for years from Starz/Anchor Bay.
I’m not the biggest found footage person but I thought The Poughkeepsie Tapes was really good and effective!

We need day of the dead on 4K Blu-ray I own that on DVD
I got my Hellhouse llc already. Great collection!!.
Did not partake BUT did get Mr Nightmare 4k steelbook and a Halloween III slip box 4k from Gruv, this weekend will be awesome.
I bought Hush and the Craft 4k
Waiting on the Day of the Dead 4K and the only way I'll consider the bluray is if there is a going OOP sale.
The craft and species on 4k with slips for $20 each.
honestly when my panny 820 upscales day of the dead it looks great..don't know that a 4k version could do it much justice.

How are Scanners 2 & 3?? I really love the first one and got the Criterion blu-ray last year
