My bestest friends daughter!! He's had a rough go of it lately with a hard fought custody battle and wound up on the losing end.. He's recently got his daughter tho into music. She started learning bass (like he plays) but feels it isn't for her and doesn't dig it. She wants to try guitar but all her dad could get for her was an old acoustic. This would be so perfect!! First off, I'm new to your channel and have only watched a few videos, but from those few I've gotten such a great vibe from the both of you. Very inspiring! That said, I'd like to nominate my friend's daughter. She's not been playing long, but is very hungry to learn and is filling her house with rock tunes wherever she can! On another note, I also own this same reissued Sonzera and have really loved breaking it in. I'll agree that the drive channel requires some tweaking, however, once dialed in it sounds fantastic.
Been trying to think of what the Mira reminds me of visually and I just now figured out it's a '59 Danelectro of all things. Specwise the two guitars could not be more different but to see the one borrowing design cues from the other, intentionally or no, is neat. Anyway, my nomination goes to my new friend Allen who has definitely been hit hard by life, most recently he lost his girlfriend to Covid. He's a great guy with a positive attitude that's inspired me on many an occasion and as deserving of a musician as I know.
My roomate Scot's probably one of the best people that I know and someone deeply loves playing guitar. He doesn't have the funds to really upgrade, and he's in need of a new guitar (currently on a Squier Bullet or Affinity Strat). His Strat isn't in the best shape as high e string constantly gets caught on the frets and half the time the guitar doesn't want to work on any amp due to poor connections on his output jack. I've been wanting to help him upgrade to something that won't crap out on him for quite sometime now, but don't really have the funds to do it. It would be great to try and get this guitar into his hands because I know he'd be able to do great things with it.
My best friend Ian has been rocking the same stratocaster since childhood, unfortunately it was lost to a band member who cut ties with the band he plays in, and no real chance of getting it back. I'd really like to replace his lost piece as he's always been a great musical inspiration and a better friend. ❤ love yall
I'd give it to my buddy Joe. Life's been hard for everyone... a little joy in a beautiful guitar that'll make him smile whenever he sees it... that's a win.
