The funny thing is they originally planned for Tom Holland to cameo in Spider-Man into the spider-verse but due to scheduling issues that didn't work out.
That and the fact that around the time Spider-Man into the spider-verse came out Tom Holland Spider-Man was a pile of dust.
Now there are rumors that TOBEY MAGUIRE's spidey and ANDREW's spidey are going to show up in SPIDER MAN ACROSS THE SPIDER VERSE PART 1 and there are some other rumors that suggest that YURI's spidey ( the voice actor of the PS4 SPIDER MAN ) might show up too along side others like SPUDIMAN ( the japanese SPIDER MAN ) , SPIDER WOMAN directly from the WHAT IF comics , and also SPIDER MAN NOIR and PENNY PARKER ( the manga SPIDER GIRL and her spider robot ) and also PETER B. @@themexicanbanana7465 it’s just a rough outline, and I’ve always loved fallen heroes or reluctant villains like Anakin Skywalker or Zuko. Spider-Man definitely has the potential especially considering all the loved ones he has lost in various pieces of media.
I think another way to make Peter darker and more grim is if he was aged up to a college age like 19-23 which means he has seen and done a lot more and that could chip away at Tom’s happy cheerful energy haha

I find it funny trying to imagine how PS1 Spidey would’ve looked in live action, though if this is what had happened I probably would’ve taken a bit to focus on that because I would be going even more insane after seeing Tobey and Andrew back by seeing my favorite version of Spidey/Insomniac in a movie and in live action and it was nice to see him get a bit of focus in this What If. I also wonder how the movie would’ve treated 616 Peter showing up, probably something like what I’m sure at least some people thought could’ve been Tobey and Andrew’s entrance like putting heavy focus on him, big music, stuff like that that just says “Here’s the OG”
