Hello Melanie😊. I've seen about a thousand food/air fryer videos but yours is the best in my opinion! Nice & simple. You have a calm presence which makes people feel at ease about cooking. Thank You So Much@
I meant a "!" at the end lol.
You are welcome, Kamesha! I'm so happy that you like my videos! 😊
She does, and that is quite impressive...
Love your videos short and to the point makens these to night
I’m so happy that you like my videos! Please let me know how they turn out 😋
Hi, I really enjoy your videos thank you. I haven't had my airfryer for a year yet. The first accessory I purchased was a thermometer. I find it very, very useful, especially when cooking meat and poultry. I'm just a beginner, and it's been very very useful.
Awesome! I agree, meat thermometer is very useful so you can be sure the meat is cooked through.
I followed your recipe tonight and it's absolutely wonderful great dinner thank you so much
You are welcome! I’m so happy you enjoyed it! 🤗
I love watching
What side dishes would go well with this recipe?
Awesome trying tonight
Hope you enjoyed! 😋😋
@@MelanieCooksRecipes we did !!!!
@@MrWigby I'm so happy that you liked it!
Hi Melanie, if I do less amounts will the cook time be the same?
Probably 5 min less, check and if not cooked you can always add more time
Just a tip you may want to wash your meat or at least remove the excess fat next time.
Washing meat is not recommended by CDC, it just creates unnecessary extra work. The cooking process is enough to kill bacteria as long is chicken is cooked to safe internal temperature of 165F. And trimming fat is a personal preference.
@@MelanieCooksRecipes Yeah I know heat kills the bacteria but often raw meat especially chicken has a tendency to have a slimy film which gives an off taste after it is cooked. Not trying to being rude, just a suggestion.
No problem, I appreciate the suggestions! No slimy film or off taste on this chicken though, it tasted great! 😋😋
I was about to make the same suggestion but I guess to each their own
Chicken washed especially in vinegar, salt and lemon taste really really good. My kids notice when I do that vs just rinse under water.
You should try it. You may be pleasantly surprised.
What type of air fryer is that
Awesome channel
Thank you so much! 🤗
looks good , next time i will preheat the airfryer
I never preheat the air fryer :)
Exact same time and temp as my oven 👍🏻
🤗🤗
Not really, certain airfryers only require temp at 380,and 8 mins, then turn and do 8 more minutes. Had she preheated her airfry it would have took less time
Tip: air fryer parchment paper.
It reduces clean up time.
You can pretty much order it to fit most air fryers..
Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out!
Bake or fry setting?
I use the default setting which is "air fry"
400F 20mins👍🏻🌟
Well, I am coming to this recipe late and with a different experience. I followed your recipe closely (except I added more spices), and the end result was VERY dry, VERY tough skinless boneless chicken thighs. I use an Instant Vortex air fryer, so maybe that is the difference, but I will not be trying this again.
Sorry you didn’t like it. If they were tough, you just need to cook them less. Try 10 less minutes, then check the internal temp to make sure it’s 180F, if not, add a few more minutes until done (but not dry)
Do you wash the chicken
I don't wash the chicken before cooking, as it's not recommended by CDC - the heat from cooking kills all the bacteria: www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2019/05/01/washing-raw-chicken-can-spread-germs-cdc-says/3646088002/
hummm

@@MelanieCooksRecipes cool
I guess you live near airport ? Thanks for great video
Lol 20 min drive from the airport, but these planes can be really loud when flying over 😂
Didn't like that you are always outside sitting and cooking... Then I watched so many of your recipes, times, etc... In the Kitchen, and more... You are amazing, and thank you so much... More than you know... All should subscribe to you... Am, air-frying the thighs (again) we we type... Thanks...
You are welcome, Barbara! I'm so happy that you like my recipes! 🤗
what does WHERE she cook have to do with WHAT she is cooking?
I've tried up to 6 recipes outdoor and indoor and they all came out good.
Cooked these @380 for 5 min per side 165• juicy and done I don't see how these cannot be way overcooked
Your air fryer must run hotter then mine. Glad you found the time and temp that works for your air fryer!
They are lol I have the same air fryer and tried this, I couldn’t even serve them
@@danaziacanas Brutal. Scrolled down expecting a comment like this
half frozen it seemed
Todays results of a "Thank You Very Much Melanie" if I could add a picture... Sorry, we can not...
I wish you could add a picture :) I'm so happy you enjoyed the air fryer chicken thighs! 😋😋
I believed an advantage of an air fryer is that you don’t need additional oil?
Oil is just for flavor and totally optional. You don’t need to add oil if you don’t want to.
Most air fryer recipes spray Pam on everything. Air frying is not "no oil". It is just less oil.
@@SuperDenise128 FACTS
We cut off the extra skin, use salt free seasoning, and crisp them babies up... No oil, for usually when mixing in the bowl like Melanie does, you create liquid.... Like salt with steak, this is seasoning with chicken...
Aldi chicken thighs
Yes!
The question is is the chicken thighs still juicy and not overcooked That's my main question before I try to attempt to do this?, Can anybody answer this for me?
Yes they are juicy 😋
Melanie, no half way flip?
It's optional :) You can flip halfway if you'd like so it cooks more evenly
Ho Melanie
You should wash your chicken before season it with Vinegar.
CDC doesn’t recommend washing chicken as the cooking heat kills all the bacteria: amp.usatoday.com/amp/3646088002
One thing to make sure of is to remove all of the excess fat before cooking.
I need a wife like you
Lol 🤣 Just watch the videos so you can be the one who cooks 🤣
you should be wearing gloves when you handle the chicken prior to handling the spices and the jars. Reduces cross contamination
Thanks for the suggestion!
Can it, Michel
You knew the chicken police were comming.😅. They always do.
I agree. I’ve sometimes grabbed my spices with a paper towel so I don’t cross contaminate.
First you should clean your chicken with lemon juice and vinegar ,then pat dry and add your seasonings
Washing chicken before cooking is not recommended by CDC: www.health.com/food/cdc-raw-chicken
I've worked in many restaurants, we never clean chicken, we trim the fat and cook it........
So you believe everything they say lol!
Nonsense
You FORGOT the most IMPORTANT step..... YOU ALWAYS WASH PACKAGED MEAT "BEFORE" ANYTHING ELSE!!! SEASONING IS A MATTER OF PERSONAL PREFERENCE (yours doesn't match mine) AND..... THE TEMP AND TIME IS WHAT I DO, BUT..... I STOP MINE AFTER 10 MINS (HALFWAY) TO TURN THE MEAT AND THEN FINISH FOR THE LAST 10 MINS..... THIS ALSO HELP STOP STICKING (WHICH I SAW YOURS DID). SORRY BUT I DIDN'T CARE FOR YOUR VIDEO.
Sorry you didn't like the video. CDC doesn't recommend washing meat before cooking: www.usatoday.com/story/money/food/2019/05/01/washing-raw-chicken-can-spread-germs-cdc-says/3646088002/
@@MelanieCooksRecipes Your videos are just fine, everyone has a preference. I would recommend turning anything over halfway through the cooking process though. Keep up the good work.
I start bottom down now, and then turn to get us the extra crispy skin... I am a skin person... They can have the meat, which makes for great salads... LOL... The extra skin I cut off prior to cooking, we turn in to Chicken Rinds... LOL...
You NEVER EVER wash chicken. Good grief
wash it in fluoride Big thinker T
