Bill Burr's take on Meshuggah live: • Bill Burr on Meshuggah
There’s two time periods that exist: before an individual sees Meshuggah live, and after an individual sees Meshuggah live
Meshuggah is definitely life changing. So good it's existential.
My live experience was so good that I bought an 8-string the week after.
As someone who's seen Meshuggah seven times. All from playing live at 2pm in broad daylight to showstart 2:30am at festivals.
They really a unique band of their own.
Did you just call the Meshuggah light show "some good lights"? I think that light show is the most fucking mindblowingly amazing part of the gig - in tandem with the music of course. That combination is what allows them to not have to talk and do other stuff. Glad you could experience the show, I've seen them 5 times now and loved it every single time.
Check out this small band called Phish, great light show and fwiw a pantera fan recommended them to me 20 yrs ago
I saw Meshuggah open for SLAYER in 99. They blew me away and I have been a huge fan since, and see them every chance I get.
I just saw them last December.
Seen them twice it’s a life changing experience. Last show was Dec 2023 epic!
I saw them in Dec of '23, with White Chapel and In Flames opening for them. Needless to say, my neck hurt for the next few days....
I mean Meshugga is one of the only bands that have the respect and gall to just do the music and nothing else, i feel as if other bands would do this it just wouldnt work. I have to see them at some point to see it for myself.
It's all a matter of confidence. If you do it confidently it'll work, but for a lot of bands it would seem out of place cause their performance isn't up to standard
The only other band that I've seen do this is Sleep Token, and that's only cause they have this air of mystery to preserve and talking in between songs would kinda ruin that. But they do an amazing live set so it works regardless
@@matildagreene Exactly, they do it perfectly, i am seeing them on tour again this fall with Bilmuri as their support, its going to be interesting because Bilmuri is very talkative so that will fun
I seen Meshuggah back in 2002 supporting Mushroomhead with God Forbid opening in fricking Clinton, Iowa! Feels like a lifetime ago!
❤❤❤
Interestingly, Mgla has a very similar approach to their shows: neither hello, nor goodbye. Just get on the stage, deliver and leave.
Glad you got to see them finally, do they not come to Germany often?
Last time they came I couldn't go cause I had to do something else, glad it worked this time
Hey, I’m new to Meshuggah, and I want to get more into them does anyone know the song at 3:32
In Death is Death, gotta get to the 4 minute part in that medley, off of Catch 33
@@omegjonneboy4027 thank you so much
If you like Meshuggah you should check out Gran Hechicero, he’s also an artist in an echo of uniqueness
Two things, check out Phish live, also Bill Burr is woke and funny actually
Most overrated band on the planet. Heros to dorks like this
👍
Reall I think they are the most under rated
@@goatman3057 you also play video games and are a virgin 👍
Lol, I’m a 37 year old goat herder/tour guide who’s married and owns a house, what accomplishments you got under your belt?
Ok
Troll.
Dude where do you stay
