I'm here resesrcing a replacement for this case. Long time Otterbox guy. The stand broke in the first month of use. It "snaps" on to the face of the case to provide protection when not in use. One of the tabs where it snaps together snapped right off. No big deal. The "door" where the pencil rides was wobbly from the start. I don't use an apple pencil. It never did feel securely shut. Eventually it began opening during daily use. Then one of the hinges, a real weak point, snapped. I used it without the door for a while but now the actual fascia that holds the door in place also snapped. I've had Otterbox cases for my iPhones and iPads since 2006ish. They were always ridiculously overengineered. Especially the Defender line. These are ... not.
@@insomniah Maybe it doesnt matter to you because its my money. My 2 year old and 7 year old each have their own ipad mini 256gb. Youre a salty kid hahaha
the “stand” i dont care for.. viewing angle is terrible when it is sitting in the stand and the pencil hinge is annoying.. not solid and the rubber flap behind the hinge comes undone and noticeable

the one i got has a screen protector and im actually amazed at the durabiliy
I saw that they redesigned the slot for apple pencil which I like compared to the previous trashy defender for ipad.
And still garbage w that side tab for the pencil
Can an original apple AirTag be attached to this case while in use? Mine have a split ring but can not see a way to attach it.
My defender DID come with a screen protector. A soft one mind you though
I'm not sure about that, but good for you though 👍🏼
@@MobileCodePH some of them come with it (I think there's a "Pro" option or something) as a separate item
2:54 windows the apple hahhah
Will it work with a glass screen protector?
Yes
I got this case and it’s bad. I can’t turn up my volume because it stuck.
Have the stand for the air. The stand stinks and the plastic on the screen feels like a waterproof sandwich bag on the ipad
Man, try to reach out to otterbox and see what they have to say. I’m sure they have great customer support 👍🏻
Does the link you provided for otterbox found in amazon legit/original?
This case is so bad my son used it for 2 weeks and it broke i threw it away. They need to remake the whole case again
Maybe you shouldn’t give it to a child who throws it around
If the case broke and not your ipad, it obviously worked

Maybe you should train your children. That is what it means to be a parent.
Hey what would you recommend instead?
How are you even supposed to take pictures outside with that annoying shield stand blocking the camera?

The stand isn’t realistic I don’t like it
Get the non PRO case. It has the built in screen protector.
If I was being interrogated for a crime I did not commit by a cop with this narrator's voice, I would confess just to shut him up.
BAD DESIGN. I can get my touch button to open with this case. I can use the touch to open without the case. So sorry I bought this.
