They told us what the prank was in the song whenever they were in their hideout it was to get the cookbook and give her a cupcake that turns her into a beast
She missed that unless it's in the extended version of the reaction?
It seems like everybody is missing this. Of course we wont see it when Red and Chloe travel back in time because they stopped the prank, but we saw what would have happened/ did in the original timeline.
What if the prank was turning her into a monster which is her evil self?
There's literally at least 2 points in the movie where the prank is described, lol. At Auradon during the coup and during Uliana's song where they literally show the intended prank through imagery.

@@tylerconnelly5142 I think almost none of them, since we don't know how really happened what turned Bridget into the queen of hearts, since we saw that the magic cookbook was enchanted to not fall into the wrong hands, so how does it happen what happens to Bridget in the ball, that still has to be told, I think that in future movies they will show us everything again but this time without Red and Chloe intervening to find out what really happened and to be able to correct or fix it in some way without affecting the timeline

Yes, Rebecca! Brandy, the woman who plays Cinderella in this movie, also played Cinderella in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (1997). It’s my personal favorite Cinderella movie.
And brandy was the First black Cinderella with Whitney Houston playing the fairy godmother and Whoopi Goldberg playing Prince Charming’s mother
Imo I preferred the original Cinderella mainly cos I never even knew Brandy’s Cinderella existed before anyone calls me racist

I think a lot of people don’t realize the plot twist. In BOTH timelines, Merlin’s ALWAYS had his spell book safeguarded, so Uliana and her friends will have always been made frozen, which stopped them from doing the prank.
But because Chloe and Red were there to kind of take possession of the book, and it causing the future to be changed, we can infer that they UNKNOWINGLY stopped this mysterious person from taking the book in the short time between the future villains being frozen and Merlin arriving.
We also learned that only someone “good” could actually open the book. We will probably find out who actually pranked Bridget in part 2.
The prank the turned her into a literal green monster but I thought the monster was like they made cupcakes and make it seem that Bridget made poisonous cupcakes which would make the whole school hate her which is everything she didn’t want, hence why she was a monster. Also people have been theorizing that it was actually Ella that pranked or help prank Bridget I would like them to go back in time and see what happens with that book
yes since bridget is mad at ella, maybe they talked her into opening the book cause it would freeze them when they try to open it
I think people still forget that Bridget hated Ella due to her just running off with Prince Charming and "abandoning" her, like she felt betrayed that Ella her only friend, chose the man she said she "hated" (due to him being a royal) instead of going to her and helping her in the time of her need, but of course, the plot hole of how did Uliana use the book if it'll permafreeze them is still the biggest question in this movie, so we just gotta wait for the other movies i guess
@@LorielSaysHi In regards to the book freezing them, remember that Morgie, son of Morgana, was not frozen and has magic of his own. Between Uliana's tentacles, Maleficent's magic, and Hades's fire, I doubt the security owl would have gotten away, meaning Merlin wouldn't have gone to the office until the next morning, giving Morgie time to undo the freezing spell. Then Uliana would just have to find someone else to open the book for her and she'd be able to make her prank cupcake.
Yes Rebecca, it's already being rumored that this movie was only part 1 of the pocketwatch saga and it's definitely true that the real pranker was not Uliana otherwise it was a plot hole but the writers know what they're doing so it's trustful...we're gonna see more of that on Descendants 5 including the castlecoming and the prank that's what I'm hoping for ever since we was being informed today that this movie broke records of viewers, we are just waiting for the green light to go forward...as Uma said in the end, they messed with the fabric of time and the infamous: "You didn't think this was the end of the story, did you?" moment...Kylie already confirmed it in an interview along with the actresses who played Ella confirmed on a live

The girl who plays Red’s name is Kylie Cantrall and she also was in high school musical the musical the series, she played the girlfriend of the tv star guy in season 4

Strap in. We're going of the "they made ripples in space time by changing the past" thing right? Uliana and them would have probably figured out they cant open the book and need someone good to do it, and so they bully Ella into opening the book, they make the monster cake and so Ella sticks to Bridget at the dance but then she sees charming right? And bridget's like "go!" and while Ella is off with Charming, Bridget gets humiliated and then Ella arrives after the fact and Uliana reveals they could never have done it without her, and yeah thats just off the top of my head so not so much "Ella did it" but more so of she had a part in this very cruel prank on a very nice sweet girl who wasnt socialized until very recently, and she, even as a grown woman, is quick to say "oh it was just a prank" "let the past be", cause there's literally no other way that bridget would become what she did unless that happened. Like your only friend in high school after you've been homeschooled your whole life turn out to be the one directly responsible for the most humiliating moment of your life? But EVERYTHING Red did had ripples, so instead of Uliana (who we can assume is well versed in magic) figuring out about the spellbook's freezing hex, she just had to gloat over her victory (as villians do) which led to her downfall, and the current timeline.
I dont understand why everyone is saying mal would not exist becuase Hades and Malificent are frozen. Merlin found them so he would unfreeze them, all they had was detention.

They did reveal it though: Bridget was upset that Ella was too involved with Charming when the prank happened and felt abandoned by her only friend. Also, it's not really a plot hole because we don't know how Uliana's gang originally went about their plans. We've seen the altered version that came about because of Red and Chloe's interference.
Stuff like this is why time travel sucks because it opens up a ton of variables, and since we as an audience didn't actually experience the "original" situations, every thing becomes speculation.

The prank was shown in Revenge Party when the cauldron was lit by Hades, but I think the next movie will involve the real prankster and the effects of time travel.
I was enjoying myself for like 2/3rds of the movie. When the plot started plotting towards the end i knew it wasn't going to end good. Ppl shouldn't defend the rushed ending/plot holes in the fact that a second part is coming, movies should be able to be stand-alones even if they are part of a series. Like literally the previous descendants movies didnt feel this forced for a sequel😒
Ps. I thought it would have ended with them going back and seeing nothing changed so then they will need to head back which will be a good ending for a sequel but, i guess they wanted a happy ending although that kind of ruins the story here if the same story is going to be developed in the second part😅we'll see i guess

@lilbrownbear yeah time travel is a tricky plot device that isn't easy to pull off especially while they're rushing through their story🙃

Apparently it isn’t a happy ending tho because uma said whatever Chloe and red did they will have to suffer the consequences of their actions which means red can’t change her mom from being a tyrant she has to stay abusive and red needs to get used to it

I had the exact same thought when I first watched this movie that Red and Chloe should totally become a couple! I was even getting the vibe that it could happen and that it would make sense, but knowing disney it's not gonna happen and that makes me sad :(

How did Uliana pull the prank in the original timeline if it was enchanted so that evil intention couldn’t read the book? Chloe and Red could have done nothing and it would have ended the same.

It didn’t, they altered the past by messing up, they broke a lot of things and messed with a lot of things they would have not happened in the past. This is only part 1

To be fair, was that the prank. Because of the safeguard on Merlin’s book, Uliana and her friends would’ve been made frozen either way. The only reason the future changed was due to Chloe and Red taking possession of the book and basically unknowingly stopping a mystery person from taking the book.
So we never actually learn what the prank was. Whether it was the same prank or something different

With an added 30 mins of dialogue, this could’ve easily became my favorite Descendants movie (the originals will always have a special place in my heart though). The 30 mins would give us time to actually see the ball, and everything play out. They probably don’t think it was needed. They never showed why Bridget thought Cinderella was fake. Did she not help her after being turn into a monster? Did she just say get over it? The ending just like it was rushed.

Apparently, this is the first of a two-part movie. I was also puzzled why they built up this big prank that literally changed the Queen of Hearts entire personality and made this sugar-coated bubble of effervescent cotton candy into this angry and vengeful Queen. Apparently, when the girls played with the fabric of time, they made some rather unexpected changes and there will be consequences to that. I don't think her Mom is truly all good now. Her dress was only partially white and her hair was still red, when it was cotton candy pink in the past, before the prank. Maybe they will show us the prank in the second part of the movie and we can see what all the fuss is about.
they weren't trying to bring Thomas back necessarily, Joshua who plays hook has stated in previous interviews that he did take inspiration from Thomas but he was also still trying to make it his own because, this is captain hook as a teen, not harry, its his father.
They said “you turned me into a monster” then showed the spell during perfect revenge turning someone into an ogre (monster). But I think they messed up charming and Cinderella meeting.. remember they said “we met at the dance”

No, that room where the dance fight with the armors happens is a hallway room, this room is the office at the beginning, where the Fairy Godmother and Uma were
When I watched this, I totally expected that Cinderella was the one who did the prank against the queen of hearts. The tension between them. Cinderella’s constant justification of “it was just a stupid prank” and the line of the queen of hearts that they are all back stabbers. So I honestly was shocked when it wasn’t Cinderella.
Also, I predict that in the next movie it will be revealed that Cinderella and Prince Charming aren’t married or they don’t love each other. It’s because Red and Chloe got Ella grounded in the past which in turn would cause her to miss the dance. The dance where Prince Charming and Cinderella first danced and fell in love. Idk. Would be interesting.
I think she did go to the dance. The young fairy godmother probably learned how to do it in the heat of the moment. I mean it is the same plot as the original movie. Or atleast a similar one

I believe this movie was intended to not rewrite, but re-imagine a franchise for a newer audience. I mean I’m 23 year olds now and the first movies came out when I was in middle school. So there’s a brand new generation who would probably like descendants so it’s cool that they will have their own well also having the OG to look back on.
I think the whole reason there were plot holes and the ending felt rushed is because they are setting it up for a sequel so I think they did it on purpose to make us get curious and excited for the next movie
They explains the whole prank in the villain song. Also the whole point of the movie was to stop the prank from happening all together so of course we don’t get to see the prank.

I feel like Ella was being suspicious and I thought she was going to end up being to one who pranked Bridget, which makes sense with the spell on the book and the fact that Bridget in the future is mad at the good guys not at the villains who bullied her anyway. I'm soo happy Disney had bring back Brady for Cinderella since she is an original Cinderella too. It's one of my favorite versions of Cinderella. And so many other people love Brandy's version of Cinderella. I've also seen other youtuber's reactions to d4 like billy binges and he loves the fact they bring back Brady.
I really think this is going to be a new trilogy of descendants and different from the other films that had different stories. This story will be divided into three films. And I think the prank that what they did with Bridget will be shown and I also think that Ella was involved in it. Kisses from Brazil ❤🇧🇷

I watched this the night it came out. And yes the actress and actor who play Cinderella and king charming are who played Cinderella and Prince Charming from the Rodgers & Hammerstein Cinderella! It’s a good movie but nothing will beat the first descendants movie. I do love the time travel aspect of the movie! With the way they ended it with zooming in on uma I’m hoping that they don’t make her evil again bc we’ve been there been that already. That’s if they even make another one to begin with. My favorite character from this is the pink happy kind Bridget from the past when she was a teen.

The prank was that Uliana was gonna turn her in to a green goblin monster in front of the whole school at the dance and so if you heard younger Cinderella she said “Bridget is strong she so nice to everybody even when people aren’t nice to her and that’s very strong” so if you put that together Briget got on her last straw with the prank and yeah she turned in to the queen of hearts.
