I visited Barbados about 28 or 29 years ago and even then it was fun beyond belief.It is bad for people to think that only Jamaica or T&T or Barbados is the best.We are all the best in our own ways.I am planning on travelling the Caribbean in the next 3 maybe 4 years againg and enjoying all that each caribbean country has to offer.

Jamaica has such goodwill towards its Caribbean neighbours that it named some of the streets in New Kingston, its premier business and financial district, after a number of Caribbean countries. These include Barbados Avenue, Grenada Crescent, St Lucia Avenue, Trinidad Terrace etc.
Why can`t we accept that every island is different? Different culture, government, economy, etc. Why can`t we appreciate what each island has to offer? Why do we have to compare and bash? There is beauty in all of the islands. Thanks for the video. I don`t think that when I went to Kingston years ago, I saw this part. I am also more familiar with the North Coast. I hope to see this side of Jamaica one day.

Bimini may not be as large area-wise, but Pindling knew what he was doing back in the day. I don't see the IMF harassing the Bahamian govt., I don't see ghetto dwellers violently defending drug dons against the police and army, I don't see people having to walk warily or to know some "locals" to get along. Most importantly, Jamaica has no Lyford Cay!
I would like to visit Kingston it looks very beautiful and I'm sure that the people are nice too.Although Port of Spain may not be as large or as recognized as kingston as a citty-it's the capital of my country and I love it.I hope Port of Spain continues to improve in its appearance,once upon a time Port of Spain harbor was a terrible eyesore now its actually pleasant to the eye.Also Port of Spain boundaries need to be enlargen its developing on a small lot of land that can't sustn popln.
As for that Port f Spain!!! A few tall buildings cant change the fact that that hothouse is lacking in any fabulous neighbourhoods. I mean the salubrious heights are filled with the bhuttos and bongos of that unfortunate steamer!!

Those are truly majestic cities. But you're right to a point, because Jamaica's notorious crime makes it a sort of nono destination. Most people like Jamaica but are sort of avoid going there if they have no reason too.

I'm from T&T and I must say New Kingston looks very attractive.Port of Spain has in recent years gone through a face lift so we look to be competing with Kingston.Port of Spain I must admit has those ugly muddy looking twin towers that is an eye sore to the whole of Port of Spain.
Not to mention that trinidad is rich in oil but fails to reach great heights because it's corrupt government who don't even know how to handle the natural resources which they have. Don't even let me start on the segregation between the blacks and the indians in trinidad. They cannot get along even have all these years, they still are divided. While jamaican has a motto out of many one people, there is little to no racism/prejudice there. Everyone mix and just see the human race not ethnicity.

Trinidad got nothing on Jamaica at all, i went there back in the 90's and omg not being funny but poverty, ghettos and locations were shocking in Trinidad it was terrible. The amount of people homeless, dirtiness... got to say the worst ghettos in JA looks like suburban areas compare to what we experienced.... Jamaica is not a 3rd world country, its known on paper as a 2nd world country. check it out... Trinidad reminds me of India... smh. very disgusting and disturbing. oil and gas and still...

I recently saw some videos of ghettos in trinidad and I was shocked,I couldn;t believe it was port of spain, they look just as bad as some ghettos in Ja,or even worse. Trench Town definitely looks better and the amount of homeless people lying in the streets was shocking. So it's time you trinis stop this nonsense and face reality
