- In this video I run across some items I like and dislike about the KRX and compared it to my Turbo S. I also give a tip on addressing the door issue on the KRX.

I LOVED the neoprene tape idea for the door fix. BRILLIANT! Will be picking up some tomorrow. Thanks so much. The splitting doors have definitely been my biggest dislike/ concern especially with how much money 💲💲💲these cost!
Thank you so much. I agree on the door seperating deal. I searched found nothing on it. I figured someone else has to have this issue and wanted them to be able to relate and have a easy fix.
Man the doors never bothered me but I do like the tape...... I'll probably put some on just because I don't rest my arms on top of the door anyways but definitely going to put a piece on the inside were I rest my elbow and probably some on the right side were your knee sits...... but it's odd I've herd people say they didn't buy one just because of that door design....... I think overall the doors are great having handles that open on the inside and out..... and I agree I like that they open up normally instead of suicide doors
My brother and I both bought machines at the same time, he bought a 20 rzr 1000. I opted for the 20 krx. We both have close to the same amount of miles on our machines riding similar trails. He has already replaced his belt and is now having clutch work done to his machine. Only thing I have had to do to mine is upgrade my springs because of the equipment I carry with me. I love my machine and spent after accessories 6,000 less than he did.

Thanks for the excellent video. I'm becoming a huge fan of the KRX and hope Kawasaki comes out with a turbo for 2021. But either way, the 2020 is solid for most types of riding.

Just put a deposit on a 2021 KRX at my local dealership. They tried to persuade me to pick up a rzr turbo instead but I declined. I had a Kawasaki motorcycle Zx7r back in the day and there was no problems with it. Hopefully my KRX does the same. Thanks for the tip, keep the videos coming🤙 liked & subscribed

Thanks for your video, just installed the tape on mine, works great, another good trick to doctor these up is to tilt the seats back just a bit.

How do you tilt the seats back?..... O was telling a friend of mine I wish I could slide my seat back a notch or 2 farther back.... it's still a comfortable ride but I could personally use a little more room
@@trevorbraden5448 all I did was use a piece of wood about 3/4 thick under the front bracket you will need longer bolts. it doesn't take much to make a difference.

All I can say is that my uncle is very pleased with the machine. Doing everything and doing it very well. If its not 0-60 with a 200hp Mavrick Turbo, it will be better than everyone around. Its not that we can't hoon or drive fast, its just two seconds behind...and who cares? :D

I’m looking really hard at all the info and comparisons I can find as I’m about to pull the trigger on one of these machines and I am leaning hard to the krx and this video and the comments on it have confirmed my interest in the krx. hi have a 20 KRX and it is absolutely awesome. Best rock crawling and trail riding SXS, built like a tank, suspension is crazy
I think the door tape is brilliant!!! I am probably buying one this week or next. I’m coming from a Sport Wildcat and know I won’t be disappointed in the power performance. You mentioned getting into your toy hauler, do you have pictures of how it fits? I have a Ragen that is basically the same size and design and would be interested to see how tight it is. It fits with no problem, about an inch an a half on both sides.
Just have to check to see if the tape works with the upper doors installed.
I'd like to see it loaded into the toyhauler, and more information on your trailer/truck setup

Nice machine. I drove one recently and was thinking about getting one. Why did you chose it over the updated Yamaha YXZ1000 (arguably faster & better transmission.) Great fix on the door- I was going to suggest a sticker but your fix is even better. It will also help keep the water out. Maybe add similiar material the the floor pan in front so the rock noise is muted. I would definitely suggest you upgrade to a much safer 6 point harnesses and possibly reinforce the roll cage. Since you are going all out, add a nice stereo/speakers along with the GPS.
Probably the looks is what I didnt like about the Yamaha the most.
@@xcit The KRX does look great but the YXZ has some advantages.
I actually just traded my yxz 1000 for a KRX and I got to tell you best decision I ever made. ...... the KRX is a much more capable machine....... and as far as being faster we are talking maybe about 7 to 10 miles faster which you never even get close to when you are trail riding and mudding and rock crawling....... I barely ever got out of 1st gear in the trails....... I loved the yxz and banging through gears when I could...... but in my opinion the KRX is so much better......
@@trevorbraden5448 Thanks for sharing. Don't you miss the power and reliability though of having a real transmission? That said, I loved the smoothness of the KRX and the low gear which I used- wish it was slightly taller but it's great for crawling. KRX definitely looks better IMO.
@@MOAB-UT no not at all the KRX is in my opinion a way better trail and rock crawling machine......I don't miss fighting the gears and clutch through ruts and rocks and through the mud...... the KRX makes that stuff easy

I heard yeah taping the doors work
i own a KRX..... don't install the Neoprene foam until after you install speakers in the doors as you can pull the outer door skin back to help install the speakers in the pre-molded inner panels.....other than that your review is spot on, i friggin love the way my KRX handles and the power is just right. Question to xcit: my fuel guage is horribly innacurate, it reads empty at approx 1/3 tank left.... Kawi dealer said they called tech support and in the end there's no fix for it. what are you finding?
I think there is fuel gauge issue. I am getting readings that are inaccrate as well. I wanted to top it off before a ride and it only took like 1 gallon, although the gauge read little over a half tank. As a guy really into music and installing stereos in cars for years I would definatly think twice before dropping coin on speakers for the doors. Sxs' doors are not supportive enough for decent sound imo. The rattling and tinny sound I had from the MB quartz speakers in the doors of my turbo S RZR were terrible.

Love mine but some times I wished I would have bought another machine I love my krx 1000 the ride the suspension is great the ground clearance how well built it feels but damn it has no throttle response that’s my biggest complaint
Well they do have a turbo kit coming if its not out already that will boost the machine to 170 plus horsepower. That should help with the lack of power. For me, mostly trail riding it does great. I could see if you used it more for desert riding or sand dunes needing a bit more push would be cool.
This might be a dumb question but do you have the seat belt engaged and not in low power mode....... my friend thought his machine wasn't right and no power and then realized he had it in low power mode........ but I think it feels pretty good....... I had a Yxz 1000 r before this one and I feel like it's plenty of power...... I don't ride dunes though not not sure what type of riding you do
@@trevorbraden5448 yes if I’m riding on the trails seat belt engaged / on and rock mode off other wise it would go no where it would be so slow . What I mean but power is I’m not saying it don’t have no power it does but there is big huge difference from my krx and let’s say Yamaha Yz and Polaris 1000 can am yes I still think mine is built better but it’s slow on the trails they want leave this machine but on the straights and back roads it’s not even a race this machine is slow and don’t have a responsive throttle as some the other units still a fantastic machine just saying it’s slow thanks for the comment
@@whiterhinooutdoors4572 no worries just wasn't sure...... because I've herd of people not having the seat belt engaged or the power mode on low....... so thats why I asked...... but yeah it's definitely not winning many races but that's not what I got mine for....... I love being able to go just about anywhere in this machine definitely a lot more confident then with my YXZ

Just rented a Polaris XP Pro. It was a little warm. Does the KRX 1000 put out heat?
i have used vel Crow in the heat with 3m sticky back comes off in the heat that tape might roll back on u

It's not that big of a deal to me neither but it's still cool...... I'm probably going to use the tape in other areas like where your knee rubs and on the inside of the door where I rest my elbow....... but I've seen people say they didn't buy the machine just because of the doors being like that...... but yeah man never bothered me
I would have used window weld and a clamp I bet it'd look cleaner u could have spread the gap, cleaned it and stuck that urethane in there ideas 💡
Would you still recommend the krx?
Absolutely. The best bang for your buck and the most reliable next to the Honda.
How do the rides compare on rough terrain?
Honestly the rzr probably takes the crown on rough terrain at speeds because of the added travel and the 32" tires over the 31" the kawi has. I will say it's minimal though. Definitely not a big difference.
@@xcit My riding will be all open desert in the ABQ area. My trailer is 77" wide. Was your Turbo S reliable?

I think you just made a sound decision. Top reason is reliability. Next the suspension is much stronger, all the control arms on the KRX are so much thicker than the Polaris. Lastly a fricken locker. Enjoy
Good video man I own the krx my self been considering getting me a 4 seater General or turbo just like the way the General looks with full doors with paying for door inserts love my krx just want a 4 seater hope I don’t regret the move I’ve heard other say the same as you did about Polaris quality chatter and grinding squeaking post more video would like to see how the garman radio works if I keep mine I probity do the same

99.998% of it here is in perfect color other than the one part showing the passenger side door seam.

Pretty decent price. In my area they are going for $20k. I got mine cheaper but the word is out now , on these things!! "That ain't no Razor, is what I keep hearing?" Lol.

There’s not much of a comparison between Polaris and Kawasaki. Kawasaki makes well made, reliable products. Polaris makes overpriced garbage for guys trying to look cool. 😂
