HOW TO TRANSFER TICKETS ON TICKETMASTER TO ANOTHER PHONE | TICKET TIP THURSDAY

- On this Ticket Tip Thursday, we're discussing how to transfer tickets from one phone to another (or basically one account to another). If you have any questions you want answered, just leave a comment below!
Transferring tickets between two phones (or any two accounts/devices for that matter) is a relatively straightforward process, and only takes a few moments at best.
Simply log into your Ticketmaster account and head to your Tickets page. Here, you'll be able to select which event you'd like to transfer tickets for, as well as cancel any outstanding ticket transfers that have not yet been accepted. Note that some events/ticket types will not be eligible for transfer, so be sure to check with the event page itself to get all the details.
Once there, just click on the Transfer button to begin the process. Next up is selecting the seats you'd like to transfer. After that, you'll just enter in the transfer recipient's name and email address (or phone number) and voila! Nothing else to it really.
If you end up transferring tickets to the wrong email address/phone number, you can simply cancel the transfer before they accept the tickets and re-do the entire process.

Very helpful. I'm working on a UX Project and needed this information!
Let me know if I can help any more! 😁
Ah! Thank You! Very simple and step by step for the app challenged.
Hello, thank you very much for the content. I made sure to leave my like. I have a question. A friend and I bought tickets for a concert in the US but we are from Mexico. My friend unfortunately lost her visa so she will not be able to travel to the US for the concert. These tickets only had will call mode, my friend bought them with her account and her card. Is there any way to pick up the tickets without her being present since they cannot be transferred? The only thing I can think of is to write a power of attorney before a notary, but I don't know if it will work. Thank you very much! Regards
You can contact the venue to see if they are able to change the will call name to someone else, some venues will allow you to bring a copy of the ID of the other person and have them pick up the tickets under someone else’s name as well. Contact the venue instead of Ticketmaster as this way you may get someone who is actually helpful. Good luck!
Hey my tickets are not available to transfer but have been told to transfer them? What should I do?
Very reassuring - thanks so much!
🙏🏽
What is the safest way to buy a ticket by ticketmaster transfer and paying by paypal? How do I know the code has not been copied already? Thanks 🙏
So helpful, Thank you!
Hi! Question.. if I have tickets to a concert and I sell privately to a person, once I transfer the tickets are they still under my name or would it be the other person’s?
The original order will still be under your name but any subsequent issues with the tickets would fall under the person you transferred them to. Once they are officially transferred and accepted, it all falls to the new person. But if the event is cancelled then they would still need to collect the refund from you as Ticketmaster only issues it to the original purchaser.
Hello, thank you for sharing all your knowledge. Just curious to know why is there a timer on Ticketmaster tickets (ex. the Harry styles tickets showed it wasn’t going to be available for 50 days). Thank you!
The timer is to display the actual tickets on your phone so you can literally enter the venue on event date. It serves no other purpose really. When the timer goes to 0, the barcode becomes active and visible so you can scan yourself in
@@thumbsuprun Thank you, you’re the best!
Here's a question. Ticketmaster tickets for a certain show are non-transferable, but I received a link to the tickets. It's a simple link and when I click on them the tickets appear, with moving barcodes. This is possible, but I have no idea how to do create that link. Good luck!
Hi mate, love your content. I bought some RHCP tickets for the UK and the ticket itself is not ready and the transfer option says its currently unavailable. How can i check that i can transfer these tickets, or is there a block? Regards
Double check on the event page if there is a delivery delay first of all. It’s likely there is a delay for many large scale events. It’ll be in the info section if anything.
Next step is review your order confirmation email, it may also state if there is a delay there as well.
Sounds to me like the tickets just won’t be active until a couple days before the event but those are the best ways to confirm. Last last step would be to contact Ticketmaster but that’ll take ages
@@thumbsuprun So it says it's ready 3 days before the event. I've asked TM and they say it may be available later, but not now and no guarantees. It doesn't say anything about restricting transfer on the event page. I'm just worried about selling on viagogo if it turns out they're not available - do you think its fine to list them?
If you have an order confirmation from Ticketmaster, I’d say you should be fine to go ahead and list them with the expectation your in hand date should be as late as possible for delivery on viagogo. If there’s an issue, I’d go back to Ticketmaster and get them to find you replacement tickets if for whatever reason your tickets don’t come once the delivery window opens up from Ticketmaster so you don’t get stuck with no tickets to deliver on viagogo
hi! my mom got me and my sister twice concert tickets and picked to get the tickets shipped to our home. but not thinking they would come in on time we ended up just transferring the e tickets to each of ourselves. those original tickets that got shipped, will they still be shipped and just not be able to use (since the original barcode changes after ticket transfer) or do they cancel the whole physical ticket shipping itself?
also, AFTER the transfer if we decide we want the physical copies again will the physical and e ticket barcode be the same (if they don’t come in on time) ?
Once you transferred the tickets to another Ticketmaster account, any original barcodes will become invalidated. So your original hard stock tickets no longer will work at the gate (they are now simply mementos/souvenirs). There will not be any new hard stock tickets shipped/issued out at this point.
If you want to use physical copies, that option is now longer available unfortunately
thankyou for teaching
Glad to help!!
like your energy, using AXS sent transferred B-Day ticket to my little sis but she had removed that address. how am i to retrieve those and send them to her new g mail? show is in two days...
Can you transfer tickets that you’ve bought from Ticketmaster presales? Like the Harry Styles ones?
Yes you can! You just need to wait for the tickets to become eligible for transfer and then you can go ahead and send them off to whomever you want, even if you purchased them during a presale. His whole tour should be eligible for transfer 👍🏽
Thank you for the helpful video.
I have 4 tickets to a two day event and want to transfer only two tickets of one show. Is that possible? I spoke to Ticketmaster via chat and they claim I can but don't see an option to "ungroup" the two shows and transfer only one. Says I have 4 Standard 2 day tickets in transfer option. They are not 8 individual tickets. The only thing I can think of is waiting until after the first show to then transfer the second but I'd rather not wait and again, ticketmaster says i dont have to do that. Thanks again.
Hiii, can you please help me by explaining how to know what Ticketmaster tickets you’ve purchased and how I can get the ticket info and how to few them to use the day of the concert?:)
If you log into your Ticketmaster account from your mobile device, you should have a tab called ‘My Events’. If you go from a computer, just log in and head to ‘My Tickets’. You’ll then find a list of your purchases and can get ticket details there. If you access it from your phone, your tickets will display there as well! Can add them to your phone wallet (recommended) or access it there on the show date
Hi there! Knowing this information would it be safe to get tickets transferred from someone on a selling app, or is it best for them to sell to an individual through the Ticketmaster app? My concern would be if the were to cancel the transfer and they keep cash and the tickets.
I’d always feel comfortable with tickets being sold through any type of resale marketplace (Ticketmaster included) because there are protections in place for the buyer if they don’t receive their tickets or the tickets do not work. The seller cannot just run away with the money since they will only be paid after the event takes place normally and also if the buyer doesn’t report any issues with the tickets. If the buyer reports a problem that can’t be resolved in time, the seller will get hit with a massive penalty for not fulfilling the order so they are incentivized to make sure all tickets are delivered correctly and on time 😁
@@thumbsuprun So what other resale marketplace besides Ticketmaster do you think are safe? 🙏🙏🙏
A lot of the bigger ones! TM, AXS, Seatgeek, Stubhub, Vivid Seats, TickPick, Gametime. They are all ones I am happy to use (and I buy and sell on all of them!)
hii! my friend helped me secure 4 tickets to attend the taylor swift concert while being the one who won’t be attending at all. would it be fine for her to transfer all the 4 tix she purchased with her account? does she have to attend the event too for the tixs to be able to work on the venue? thanku!!
when someone transfers you a ticket through your mobile number does it still ask you to confirm or accept the ticket?? i just bought a harry ticket from someone and they transferred it though txt and i copied the link and it had me sign it and then the ticket was in my account ! does that mean it automatically approved it when i signed in from the link or is there a way they can still take the ticket back? the ticket is in my account now, so i’m assuming i accepted it ! :)
You’re correct! Once you get a code sent via text to accept the tickets, it’s the same process as formally sending it through Ticketmaster and getting a confirmation. Technically you won’t get anything if you just get sent a code via text. Tickets have been accepted and are good to go!
Can you send your tickets that you already have on your phone (in your wallet app) to a friends phone so they can use them?
You can, but just remember that if you do a ticketmaster transfer, the ticket on your phone will no longer be valid. Also be careful of screenshots if there are dynamic barcodes (barcode with a blue line moving back and forth across it) - those won’t be valid on entry if it’s a screenshot. You can definitely send tickets though to friends if you added them to your phone!
Hi :) I want to buy a ticket from a stranger and she wants to transfer her ticketmaster ticket to me. She hasn't received a barcode (full ticket) yet since the app says it will only happen 3-5 days prior to the event in july. if she transfers her tickets to me now, will it update right before the event so i have the actual tickets? thanks!
Will the buyer and seller be charged any service fees by ticketmaster if a ticket is transferred rather then sold
Does anyone know how long it actually takes for tickets to transfer? Like does it do it right away or does it take a couple days?
When a transfer is initiated, it should be instant to the person it’s being sent to
I bought rod wave tickets for my friend using vivid seats but the tickets showed up on my ticket master account. It tells me that the actual tickets won’t come in until august 30th but it still gives me the option to transfer the tickets. If I do that, will she still be able to get them? I just don’t want to mess anything up and if she receives them, what does she have to do?
When you bought your tickets on vivid seats, it was just the platform to connect the buyer and seller. Since the tickets have now been transferred to your Ticketmaster account, you’re good to go! You can transfer your friend her ticket and keep yours in your account and everything will work out. When it says the ticket isn’t available until august 30th, it just means the barcode won’t show up until that point. However, the actual tickets are set up in your account already. Feel free to transfer the ticket to your friend, won’t be any issues at all 😁
Thank you for this.
😁😁
My dad is not tech savvy and I purchased him tickets as a gift for Christmas online but my delivery option is mobile. I’m wondering if there is a work around to printing mobile tickets?
No printing options exist from home, however you can attempt to contact the venue and see if they can offer a will-call alternative and have him pick up hard stock tickets from the venue directly. Otherwise you may need to get him up to speed on how to access mobile tickets. If you get them set up in his mobile wallet for him it may help. Good luck!
okay here my question, I bought a ticket to my favorite celebrity on sunday of this month. come to find out my bf wants to go, so i bought another ticket for another seat but we was gonna use it, fo he can get in but we was gonna sit together… even tho it’s two different seats, now tht i found out bout the transfer, so i can use my first ticket wen i get dere nd send him it afta i already use it for he can get in too? that how im viewing nd understanding from it ? is this correct, help me understand
I have a two day pass for Wrestlemania. I can’t make day two. Can I transfer the pass after day one?
After transferring the ticket does the money come back to your account and take money out of theirs or would they need to pay me back
Hello thanks for the video ok so you might’ve said it but I bought tickets to resell but the resell option is not available so if I want to sell them I will arrange with a person to buy the tickets and then I would transfer the tickets to them ?
If you want to sell the tickets privately, you’ll just need to make sure the transfer option is available and then you can transfer the tickets once payment has been made. You could use something like PayPal Goods and Services to give some protection to both the buyer and seller
The person who I am transferring these to get to do they have to have the Ticketmaster account in order for them to be transferred to them
Hello. Sorry to bother u. I have a few questions. I´m from Mexico and I´m planning to see Adele in Las Vegas. So I bought tickets from a reseller. He transferred me the tickets and now I see the event on my Ticketmaster account. He says that the tickets will be available days before the show, but in my app, I can see a barcode with a blue line moving left and right across the screen. Is that my ticket? Or it will change prior to the event. Also, my ticket shows 0 dollar price is that okay? I just want to know if there´s a way I got scammed cause I´m traveling from far away. Hope u can help me out.
Hi! Danke für das Video. Was passiert denn, wenn ich als Käufer den Transfer nicht akzeptiere?
If you don’t accept the ticket transfer as the buyer, then you are still responsible for having purchased the tickets and you won’t be able to request a refund from the exchange. If the seller can prove they tried to transfer the tickets to you, then they are good for providing the sale is complete. It’s up to you to accept the transfer in time and then deciding what to do with the tickets after that.
Hey so I want to buy a ticket to the concert to Ivan cornejo but the girl is reselling them and I’m scared I’m going to get scammed. How do yk if it’s fake
Two friends have separate season tickets next to each other. If one of them transfers his ticket to his friend, can the friend now sell them as a pair?
Yep! Definitely can do so. Technically assuming the two friends are working together, you could sell the tickets as a pair and then transfer them out from each account to the buyer that way as well. Though 100% easier to have them all in the same account. But not a requirement assuming the two account holders are working together
Basically my friend transferred me tickets, I transferred it to my other friend and now my friend transferred it back to me. did i transfer to much?. (I also transferred it to my self by accident will that mess up the process). This ticket hasn’t been scanned or used so will it be valid? (Reading)
Hi, Just wanted to ask, if i am giving a pair of tickets to a friend I would follow the same process? , and if for some reason the concert is cancelled would I then receive a refund form original seller. Thanks for the Info.. GREAT STUFF
Great question! If you’re giving tickets to a friend, you can follow the same process and just have the tickets transferred to them. As for refunds, the original ticket purchaser (ie you) would still be the one who would get the refund, not the individual who had tickets transferred to them
Hi, I have a question, again. Sorry for that😅 if you want to transfer an eTicket, does the person just have to send me the PDF, or the same thing like you said in your video?
They would just need to send the pdf file, no need to create a screenshot :)
Hey! I have a question if I have two ticket master accounts and transfer my tickets to my other account who gets a refund if they cancel the tickets?
Refund will always go to the original account where the tickets were initially purchased from. So even if tickets were transferred out, the main account where you bought the tickets from will get the refund
If I do a mobile transfer to my friend's account will they be able to see how much I originally paid for the tickets? It was supposed to be a birthday gift so I didn't want them to see the receipt. Thanks!
I’ve heard mixed reviews about this - sometimes I will see it and other times not. However, they would only be able to do a deep dive into ticket resale prices if they go through all the additional info steps on the ticket within Ticketmaster (which generally nobody would because it doesn’t give you any more info to get into the event). They won’t see your original receipt either, it would simply be a face value breakdown on occasion. However, face value doesn’t even always mean it’s what you paid too so I think you should be alright! 😁
Can you transfer more than once from one device to another to another
Added my tickets to my apple wallet for me and my wife and its only showing as one QR code in my apple wallet. Will that still show up as two tickets when they scan the QR code?
Does the ticket explicitly state that it has two tickets on it? It’s unlikely to work for both though. I would delete the tickets from your wallet and add them both back again individually one at a time to see if that changes anything
Hey can I transfer my axs tickets to my ticketmaster account or I cant?
I have two ticket master harry styles tickets that i got on presale. the resale option is blocked, will it become available later, like after general sale or will it not ever be an option?
It is possible it could open up after the general sale, though every single event is different. However, if tickets are able to be transferred, you’ll always be able to list and sell tickets on Stubhub or other resale platforms as well. Wait until the general sale takes place and then check to see if the resale option opens up
Hi! Does ticket transfer work for VIP packages? Im asking since these types of tickets have to be picked up at will call
If tickets need to be picked up at will-call, then no. No type of direct ticket transfer will work through Ticketmaster. You’ll only be able to share tickets with your friends on the day of the show after you have gone to pick them up from the box office as you’ll receive physical tickets
@@thumbsuprun Ok thank you!
@@thumbsuprun What if my friend changed the name on her account to my name and then bought the tickets, would they appear under my name at will call?
It’ll appear under the name on the account. So if you used your account with your friends’ billing info, it would show as your name for the tickets. Some venues do let you arrange alternative names for pickup though, it just depends what their rules are. You can always call the venue to confirm. But in general it’ll be the account name for Ticketmaster that needs to pick up the seats
@@thumbsuprun Ok thank you for your help!
hello i have a question, my friend got tickets for us to go to a concert, she has both tickets in her phone, would they let me in if she shows that she has two tickets in her phone or does she has to transfer a ticket to me so i could go in?
sorry if it’s a bit confusing
Shouldn’t be an issue at all. Your friend will just show the ticket attendant both tickets and they will scan each of them. Once done you’ll both be able to enter the venue. If there is an automated gate that you need to scan tickets into to open a gate, just scan the first ticket from the phone, then have your friend leave the phone with you to scan the second ticket and then walk in after. Ezpz!
Hi, I have a question, will reading tickets be available to transfer on ticket master?
A good question! From the website it doesn’t say one way or another, normally the answer will be yes though as it does require each individual to scan their ticket to gain entry. As a result, the only way that can work is if each individual can get their ticket to their phone/if paper tickets than each person will need one for scanning. Based on that my answer would be yes, but I can’t confirm one way or another without getting in queue for the event online and seeing if there are any transfer restrictions. Sorry I wasn’t more helpful!
I need help accessing my tickets from vivid seats to ticket master. I had ordered tickets from vivid in 2017 and all i had to do was just print. Y so much challenging especially with our technology. Please help I need them by thursday. Will
Hello! A lot of tickets have moved to mobile transfer over the last few years and away from pdf printing unfortunately. Double check your delivery method and see how you are to receive your tickets. Likely they will be mobile transfer. If yes, you’ll need to accept the transfer once they deliver the tickets to you through ticketmaster. Let me know if you need more help once you confirm the delivery method
hey quick question ! i bought some tickets off of tickpick for a concert about 3 months ago… they transferred perfectly fine and are currently in my ticketmaster app but i have some reoccurring anxiety they’re not going to work when i go to get into the concert. i guess my question would be “ can transfers off of another site to ticketmaster be fake ?” or would ticketmaster not allowed the tickets to be transferred with a fake barcode ?
To answer your question, simple answer is no. Once a ticket transfers through ticketmaster and it’s sitting in your account, you now have the only valid barcode for that ticket in existence. Any older ticketmaster barcodes would be invalidated after you accepted the transfer so it wouldn’t be possible to have been sent a fake barcode that way. 😁
Thank you!!
Hi, I have a question. I bought two tickets for a concert through another person's account and that person transferred my tickets to me. I already have my tickets in my account, but I want to sell them because I will not be able to attend, but I do not have the option to sell the tickets, how can I do it? I only get the option to transfer the tickets. the concert is in December and I can't request a refund due to ticketmaster's policies, what can I do?
If the ticket has the transfer option available only, you will then need to try and sell the tickets on a different platform such as Stubhub. You would list and sell them as mobile transfer tickets, and once sold, you would simply transfer the tickets to the new buyers email address
Hi, Is there any way to know if a event ticket is transferable before you purchase the ticket?
Most events are in general, but the best way to confirm beforehand is to check on the event page itself to see if there are any restrictions. If no, that’s usually a good sign. As you move through the delivery method page, that will be your next clue. Also check the seat description before you finalize the purchase because there may be notes on the seats saying if they are non transferable sometimes. Some artists will announce beforehand if the tour will be transferable or not (Pearl Jam announced non transferable for entire tour in 2019-2020) but otherwise most events are just assumed to be transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
@@thumbsuprun Thanks for the quick and thorough response, its very appreciated!
My gf bought tickets for the j cole concert and I guess she sent me the other ticket I claimed it but now her ticket is blank it doesn’t say our seats number , section or anything. What does this mean?? Does she still have her ticket?
Ask your gf to try adding the ticket to her phone wallet. It’s normally just a bug within Ticketmaster that happens when you only transfer a portion of the tickets instead of all of them. She should still have the one remaining ticket in her account
if someone transfers it to me and they purchase insurance on it beforehand, does that transfer to me as well, so if the concert gets canceled do i get a refund?
If you get tickets transferred to you, the event insurance does NOT transfer over. If an event gets cancelled, you’ll be given a refund automatically only if you paid through a ticket exchange/Ticketmaster. Otherwise you’ll need to request a refund from whoever you bought the tickets from. Cancelled events should automatically issue refunds, while postponed events normally will not offer refunds unless you bought directly from Ticketmaster
Do you know if this applies to VIP tickets as well?
It depends - if tickets are mobile then there is sometimes the ability for them to be transferable/sold through Ticketmaster directly but not always guaranteed. If they are will-call tickets though then no they are not. It isn’t usually stated during the checkout process if tickets are transferable or not, but there are times when it is explicitly said when they are NOT transferable before you even cart the tickets. Always click the little i icon to get additional info

Hello I really really need ur help😭😭, how do I buy resale tickets on Ticketmaster? PLEASEEE ANSWER
Want to transfer tix but do they have to have a Ticketmaster account in order to accept transfer?
Short answer is yes. If transferring tickets to someone who may not have a Ticketmaster account, they will be prompted to create one prior to being able to accept the transfer. However, if you sent them a screenshot of the ticket (assuming not a rotating barcode ticket) then that would work too and they will be able to use the ticket without a Ticketmaster account
Hi thanks for all the information.. I've been searching high & low, but can't seem to find the answer. I have football tickets that were transferred to me the game was postponed, now I can't go because I have to work. I've already downloaded them to my google pay, is there a way to transfer them to someone else? I know a screenshoot won't work. Thank you in advance
From your Ticketmaster account, you should be able to transfer them again to someone else. So long as the blue transfer button is enabled you can send them to anyone you want even if you downloaded them to your phone
@@thumbsuprun thank you, you're absolutely right.. I had to go to the original "transfer" email to access them on my ticket master account and was able to transfer them from there... thank you again.. Happy Holidays
I have a
2 questions ,
1. tickets are non-transferable , any way to resell them ?
2. I been watching a lot of your videos trying to learn... I would like to learn this business , any recommendation ?
Hello!
1) non-transferrable tickets can be sold, but it depends what kind of non-transferrable tickets they are. Are they mobile non-transfer or are they will-call tickets? If will-call, you'd need to sell them as local pickup (basically you'd need to pick up the tickets and hand deliver them to the buyer on the day of the show). You can list tickets as special delivery on TickPick and they should be able to help you accomplish this.
2) networking is key - try to join some forums/discord/reddit groups to talk more about it! I have a discord group as well where we discuss upcoming events and provide presale info, but there is a $50/month cost to remain in it (2 week free trial). If you have one-off questions, can leave comments or message me on IG @thumbsuprun
Do I have to transfer tickets like can I just show up with my friend and show them 2 tickets
You can simply show up to your event and have the ticket taker scan both tickets. Some venues have automatic gates and require each person to scan a ticket but you can just have them scan their ticket from your phone as well
Question… do the person reciving them have to have a ticketmaster accound or can it be tru email or text ?
They require an account to accept transferred tickets. If they don’t have one they will be prompted to create one before they can accept transferred tickets. The only exception is if the tickets are sent as screenshots but there are limitations on this as well
Hello, I have another question!
A person want to transfer tickets to me but if they already got the tickets shipped, they can't transfer the tickets, right?
I'm just really scared to get scammed, cuz when they already have the tickets and wants to transfer them to me, I can't do nothing with them, right?
It depends on the event. Some events will ship out hard stock tickets but in your account you’ll still have access to the mobile ticket as well. Note that if they transfer a ticket to you directly through Ticketmaster or another main box office site (AXS), the mobile ticket will become the only valid ticket and the hard stock ticket barcode is invalidated. So if they are able to transfer you the ticket into your account then there is no issue at all
@@thumbsuprun great, thank you so much!!
When you transfer tickets from the account that purchased them to another account does it show the price that was paid in the account that received the transfer? Like in the ticket details?
I actually am not sure about that one! I know for tickets that you did purchase, when you click on the ticket details from your phone you can see the ticket price and fee of the ticket, but I am not sure if that detail remains in place once tickets have been transferred out. I would imagine it would disappear but I can’t confirm that. I may do a test this weekend to see what happens!
@@thumbsuprun so decided to test it with my dad and it shows the price still
@@thumbsuprun thank you for the response
Thank you for doing the test and letting me know! That’s really interesting that it still shows it but I guess it’s similar to selling hard stock tickets - the price will always be listed there on it too
@@JonathanL58 Did it show your info too like it does on the mobile receipt on your ticket page?
Probably late but let’s say I sell tickets to someone and they pay me through zelle, do I just transfer the tickets to them is that how it works?
If you agreed to sell someone tickets and they are paying through zelle/PayPal/Venmo etc, then yes. You’d transfer the tickets after receiving payment. Never transfer before. Just make sure that if the event gets cancelled that you’ll need to refund the buyer
@@thumbsuprun thanks for the response! But just to be clear if the event gets canceled the money goes to me even if they claimed it right?
Refund through Ticketmaster only goes to the original purchaser of the tickets (you). The person you transferred the tickets to will NOT receive a refund from Ticketmaster because they don’t have their payment information. So it’s up to you and the ticket buyer to arrange the refund after you get it back from Ticketmaster.
@@thumbsuprun thanks !!
Hii, so the person that transferred me the tickets sent a screenshot that said it’ll let them know when I receive the tickets. However, I haven’t received a email about accepting the tickets and it’s been over 24 hours what does this mean?
What did the screenshot say? That the ticket transfer was initiated? Generally ticket transfers will go through immediately and you should have already received an email asking to accept the tickets. Ask the seller to cancel and re transfer the tickets again and see if that works
I was sent tickets but I didn’t have a Ticketmaster account so when I was sent the link I had to make an account. Once I made the acc however it now says the tickets have been claimed or the event expired how do I fix this?
Sounds to me like once you created the account it’s possible the tickets were then officially transferred into your account. First step would be to log into your account and head to your tickets/events page. See if the event tickets have populated there. If yes, good to go! If no, I would contact where you bought the tickets from and ask them to complete a retransfer of the tickets if the ticket link is no longer valid.
Hi. If I need to transfer tickets to someone, do they need a ticketmaster account for it to be transferred? Thanks.
Yes they do. If they don’t have one, it’ll prompt them to create it at that time
My event doesn’t have the transfer option. The tickets won’t be available until the day of the event. What are my options? Thank you in advance
It will then depend on whether they are safetix or not. Does your ticket order or in your account specify if they are safetix? If they are, then you won’t be able to sell these unless they enable the transfer/sell option. If they are not safetix though, then the barcode should be static and allow you to sell the ticket as a mobile screenshot once the barcode is ready. I’d recommend taking a look at other listings for your event on resale marketplaces and see how they are being listed to get an idea. However, you may need to wait until your barcodes are available to be able to determine what sell option you have at your disposal
anyone know how to go about transferring ineligible or reselling VIP parking from Ticketmaster! pls help!!
I just bought Slipknot tickets for me and my friend, do I have to transfer his, or can I keep both on my phone?
You can keep them both on your phone, though it may make your live marginally easier at the gate if you all have your own ticket on your own phones. However, it generally isn’t a requirement unless there is a covid protocol requiring it. Many events do not have one in place mandating each attendee requiring their own ticket on their own device but I have seen it on occasion. Long story long, don’t worry about transferring out each ticket to each person unless you won’t all be arriving at the same time
@@thumbsuprun Thankyou!
I bought tickets online Ticketmaster for me and a date both tickets on my phone do I need to transfer the tickets in order for her to get in or they have to scan my phone twice.
They’ll just scan your phone twice if you both arrive at the same time. If you’re arriving separately though, then would recommend transferring one ticket. Not a requirement though if you arrive together. Enjoy the show!!
How long should you wait to receive the transferred tickets ?
It’s generally instant once a transfer has been initiated
So my friend transferred some tickets for smashing pumpkins for this Wednesday but I can’t go am I able to sell them on ticket master even though she bought them originally?
Yes you can! As long as ticket resale is enabled, you can go ahead and sell them directly back on Ticketmaster. If it isn’t enabled on Ticketmaster, you can look to list the tickets on Stubhub as mobile transfer
Bought tickets on Seatgeek but i had to accept it on Ticketmaster, i eventually sold those tickets to buy better ones however the first tickets got transferred immediately & the new ones are just confirmed. I assume the new ones will get fulfilled near the event date? Wished it happened the same day again....
It depends on how the seller is set up to process and transfer tickets. A regular fan selling tickets may or may not be ready to transfer tickets right away, while a more established seller may even have automation set up to instantly transfer tickets as soon as a sale takes place. You’ll still receive the tickets by the estimated delivery date but it may just take some time 😭 could try to reach out to the exchange to get them to contact the seller to speed things up but no guarantee
@@thumbsuprun Appreciate it! I was just concerned since i immediately got my first set of tickets the day i bought them but when I bought the second pair it said closer to the event & i thought it glitched so they eventually WOULDN'T give me tickets. I guess I'll wait 🤷🏻♂️😂
🤣 I know the feeling of having to wait so long for tickets, def feels like they’ll never arrive ahaha. Should hopefully be soon though 🤞🏽
@@thumbsuprun Haha just received them an hour ago! The event is next month but i also heard it could be 24 hrs before the event but luckily they came in to be safe! Thanks!
I bought tickets through Ticketmaster and unfortunately the tickets are not for resale because the event is within 4 days. I think that’s the issue, is there a way I can sell these tickets through another site.
Ahh no fun. As long as the tickets are able to be transferred, you should be able to list and sell the tickets on Stubhub
So if I sell & transfer my tickets, if the concert ends up getting cancelled the person who the bought the ticket from me wont' receive a refund?
they will only receive a refund if they purchased the tickets directly through a ticket exchange marketplace. If you sold the tickets to them privately and transferred them out to them, they will not receive any refund unless you issue it to them. Ticketmaster and others won’t issue refunds if tickets are transferred outside of their own resale platforms. Make sense?
@@thumbsuprun that's how it sounded, just wanted to vonfirm
Hi! Does the person transferring need to put in the other person’s full name for the transfer to be valid? I’m getting tickets transferred to me from someone I don’t know and I don’t want to give them my full name if I can help it but I don’t want to cause any problems down the line if they need to put in the exact same name from my ticketmaster account.
Nope! It doesn’t need to be your exact name. When tickets are transferred that’s all that matters. Name makes no difference in 99% of cases. Names only matter for will-call and non-transferable events. So you’re good to go!
Just make sure the email you give is exactly yours 😁
@@thumbsuprun okay thank you so much! :)
Does the recipient’s email have to match their Ticketmaster email when they registered the account? Thanks for the content!
Yes, the email address needs to match their Ticketmaster account email or else they won’t be able to accept the tickets. Accounts are transferred via email so they need to be the same 😁 the name on the transfer doesn’t need to be exact though
Can u only transfer one ticket
if someone sent me tickets and i posted them for sale on ticket master know i want to transfer them via ticketmaster ?
If you post tickets for resale through Ticketmaster, you don’t need to transfer anything if they sell as it’s all done automatically through the Ticketmaster backend. Makes your life very easy 😁
I accepted a transferred ticket through a mobile device, is the ticket still valid and able to be used?
Absolutely! Accepting tickets that have been transferred to you will let you be able to use the ticket. The person who transferred the ticket to you though will no longer have access to use that ticket as it is in your account now and not theirs
If i transfer tickets using phone number and the other person doesnt have a ticketmaster account, will it prompt them to create one when they click on the link?
Yes they will be prompted. They need a Ticketmaster account to accept the transfer
Hi I just got My tickets transferred n now the barcode isn't moving also can u use any device after transfer
If barcodes aren’t moving it just means they are static barcodes. As long as there is no blue moving bar over them, then you can simply scan that barcode to get in to the event. Yes any device can be used once you have the transfer into your account
Hi this informarion is so helpful!! I do have 2 ticket on my ticket transfer for me and my companion. Is it okay that i have my 2 tickets on me? Or i should transfer it to his phone?
Thank u in advance
It’s all personal preference. You can keep both on your phone and then when you arrive together they’ll just scan your phone for each ticket. I would only suggest transferring the ticket if you won’t arrive at the same time
@@thumbsuprun ok thank you,
Not sure if this question been asked already. I transfer my tickets to the buyer from stub hub , it’s been 24 hours already and my Ticketmaster tickets still says waiting to be claim. Does this mean the buyer hasn’t claim it yet ? What if on the day of the event and it still says the same,? Do I get paid for my tickets I sold ?
As long as you issue the transfer to the buyer through Ticketmaster and mark it as transferred on Stubhub, then you’re done. If the buyer decides not to accept the seats, that isn’t your responsibility. You’ll still get paid for delivery of the tickets once the event date passes as long as you did your part
Can a seller retrieve the tickets after transferring ?
You can retrieve them ONLY if they haven’t accepted the transfer yet. If they have, you’ll need to contact the seller directly or if you used a third party site then contact support through there to request them to transfer it back
hi so i recently just bought 2 tickets,i transferred one ticket to my cousin and one is for me. I only transferred my cousins ticket and she claimed/accepted it but when i check my events her tickets saids claimed and mine/the other one saids it has been sent and its waiting for the recipient to accept it,what do i do or what does that mean so i can have my ticket on my phone showing?
Interesting situation! From what it sounds like, it appears you may have transferred tickets twice by accident. Just cancel any outstanding ticket transfers and see what is left in your account. I have a feeling once you do this you’ll be left with just one ticket. Let me know!
@@thumbsuprun thanks!!do you think i could transfer the ticket to me in a way?? no my cousins ticket but the one that seems to say sent?
If it says sent you may have attempted to send it to your own email address potentially. Check your inbox and see if there’s anything waiting for you to accept. I’d just cancel anything though tbh and it should just be sitting in your account anyway
I bought tickets through ticket master resale.... how long should they take to appear in ‘my events’ . As it has been two days
It should be instant if they were sold as TM+ with instant delivery. What ticket stock did you purchase, mobile/eticket/will call etc?
I got my tickets confirmed but I can’t view my tickets nor have I received an email with a link to the PDF
Did you buy them on Ticketmaster? If so, go to your tickets page. It should display a timer if they are mobile tickets and a date when they will be available. If they were purchased as 3rd party resale tickets on Ticketmaster then it will work a little differently and will need to wait for the seller to deliver the tickets. Can message me on IG or Twitter if you want more help
@@thumbsuprun
It says they could be available even up to 3 days past my event. They were third party but the seller has not sent the tickets I can’t get Ticketmaster to get a hold of me whatsoever
Very odd. Message me on IG or Twitter @thumbsuprun and I can take a look for you
How can I get tickets for somone is not tech savvy. No mobile device that has ticket apps or a credit card?
You could always attempt to call the box office directly and work with them to find available tickets (or show up to the box office directly to purchase them as well). If they have a debit card they could probably finish the transaction at the box office as well, or cash (potentially) but would call the venue box office first. Otherwise, I would say just have someone else purchase the tickets for them and then just get them to pay back that individual directly
Hey I have a question. If i were to transfer my tickets to someone (honestly i really dont wanna go and i want to sell them to someone) if i were to sell it to them would it work? Im not sure if it would be under my name and if that would be a problem pls help.
If you sell your tickets to someone and then transfer the seats, there’s no issue at all since tickets don’t have to be used by the same person who bought them. The only time this isn’t the case is for specific VIP or will-call type seating that requires a name to pick up the seats or to use the perks. 99% of tickets can be transferred/sold with no issues at all though
@@thumbsuprun wow thank you so much for responding!
I brought two reading festival tickets & I have the barcode for one but the other says “pending transfer “ to my email what does that mean
Want to send me a message on IG or Twitter? @thumbsuprun I can take a better look for you. I have a feeling the tickets were transferred to you in two transactions and you need to accept both but I can’t know for sure off the top of my head.
@@thumbsuprun cool bro I’ll message you now
I bought two tickets Then I put them for sale but I want to remove them I want to recover my tickets how do I do that thank you
Great question! Did you list them through Ticketmaster? If yes, you can remove the listing very easily, just need to go back to your orders and you should be able to Delist your tickets directly from there. Should be a matter of a couple of clicks. Let me know if it’s still being an issue
Hey just wanted to ask was just curious for any concert or for example BTS concerts is there a like an age limit because I have done research and haven't found anything that has strictly talks about ages if you don't know how to answer this it's completely understandable
Unless an event explicitly states an age restriction, it is open to all ages. Most events with age restrictions are normally at clubs or specific comedy shows. However, it will explicitly state an age minimum if required. Otherwise, good to go!
@@thumbsuprun ah oki thank you so much I really appreciate it, this has helped me alot have a really good afternoon
Hey, if I buy a ticket off someone and they transfer it to me, will it then be in my name?
The venue says my ticket name needs to match my ID
If tickets are mobile transferred generally speaking the tickets will then move to your own name. However, if they are PDF tickets, then the name on the ticket cannot be officially changed. If there are some form of VIP benefits associated with the tickets though, this will NOT transfer over to you unless the seller changes the name on the order. Generally this can only be done within the first 10 days of an event going on sale and they would need to contact the box office to facilitate the name change. If it’s outside of that window, you’ll need to confirm that the name change can still be done or else you will be left in the dark at the venue
If I transfer tickets to someone from Ticketmaster, can they see the face value/ original price of the ticket?
Yes, if they click through to the info section of the ticket it is normally displayed
How do you know if a ticket is transferable or not? Trying to purchase as a surprise gift for my girl for her and her friend.
Standard is any mobile ticket should be transferable, it will explicitly state it on the event page if they wouldn’t be though. Otherwise, the only thing would be a delivery delay where you can’t transfer the tickets until 24-48 hours before the event, but that’s not a huge deal either. If you’re buying tickets for someone you know and they aren’t transferable for whatever reason, just log into your account on their phone and download the tickets to their phone wallet. Ezpz!
