@@NMartininelli more of a negative than a plus for me took away alot of Mario and luigis movesets like the hammer, mini mario, bros attacks instead of bro items etc.
I’m so happy to see Partners in Time high up on your list! That one is my favorite! I absolutely love the darker story and tone, the Shroobs are actually creepy, Stuffwell is so much better than Starlow, the time travel mechanic is amazing, I love Professor E. Gadd and Toadsworth, Baby Peach is the cutest thing ever, and I just loved playing as both adult and baby Mario Bros
Swap dream team and partners in time and this is my list. I would rank brothership just above partners. Not bad, but too much is holding it back to make top 3
10. Paper Jam 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. Dream Team Bros. 4. Superstar Saga 3. Brothership 2. Bowsers Inside Story 1. Partners in Time Yeah, Partners in Time is so dark it's actually amazing and I love it Also imo Brothership, Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story are really close together
I like how all of these games are consistently good and I love how much love you've showcased for Partners in Time because it's a game I love a lot too and I hate when people dismiss it for some mistakes. Have a good day!
Bowser‘s minions and Bowser juniors Journey are so underappreciated. Their gameplay isn’t the best thing in the world but it’s not awful and their stories are amazing and honestly their stories are genuinely better than the stories of the main game. They even went out of their way to fix continuity errors in the series
@@totallynormalclonewarsfanAgree! I definitely was thinking mainly of the action commands and the easy mode with Luigi logic, but I finished my first boss battle and it was fun! Loving the combat!
@@bluesky5384 Yeah, I actually died on the fourth boss (No spoilers, although it was a bit of a stupid mistake.) and I feel like I'm using one-ups more than I do in Bowsers inside story or superstar saga.
Here's my list: (Brothership not ranked because I don't own it yet): 1. Paper Jam 2. Dream Team 3. Partners in Time 4. Superstar Saga 5. Bowser's Inside Story
1) Bowser’s Inside Story 2) Mario and Luigi Brothership 3) Mario and Luigi Dream Team Haven’t played the rest so I guess I can’t really give a proper ranking plus Bowser’s Inside Story is the only one of the Mario and Luigi games I actually finished (3 times as it’s that awesome) but being 20 hours into Mario and Luigi Brothership so far it’s a lot of fun too. Though Bowser’s Inside Story’s characters and story are a lot better I think plus the switching between Mario/Luigi and Bowser gameplay was so unique and cool. Dream Team I got a decent quarter into it years back before my 3DS broke but from what I remember it was fun once it got going but it was even slower and more hand holding in its beginning pacing than Brothership. I guess I remember that I technically did play Superstar Saga via the 3DS remake version but I only got 1-2 hours in it before my 3DS broke so I don’t remember anything about it. Partners in Time and Paper Jam I literally never played.
Bowser’s Inside Story is so easily the best game in this series, nothing else even comes a LITTLE close. Brothership better than it with all the padding, backtracking, and unfunny writing it has is ludicrous
14:30 I’m glad you said twists because after you defeat Zokket is when Brothership starts to get scary all the way to the final battle which does get even scarier.
All the games thus far have been so great, that I can't really make a ranked list, other than dream team not hitting as hard as the rest, so that one being at the lowest. I never played Paper Jam though, so I can't give that one a ranking.
Most American critics these days have gotten down hill tbh; honestly as laughable as some of the roasting comments are, they're basically right about IGN saying those things given how IGN is nowadays.
To me personally, I'd say Brothership has claimed the top spot. With Dream Team in 2nd. Bowser's Inside Story in 3rd. Superstar Saga in 4th. Partners in Time in 5th. And of course, Paper Jam in last. Screw Paper Jam.
1. Partners in Time 2. Bowser's Inside Story 3. Superstar Saga 4. Brothership (so far) 5. Dream Team 6. Paper Jam From amazing to decent. Even at its worst the series is very much enjoyable.
I haven’t finished brothership yet, in fact I’ve only played the first few hours, but so far I’m despising it. Everything is a slow cutscene, Luigi feels more like a side character than a second direct controlled hero especially with his new weird mechanic where he goes off on his own, Luigi’s battle menus using A, the art style not being my thing, the awful new sidekick, the music just doesn’t live up to the other games imo, the world being split up into islands instead of being interconnected, the constant cutscenes for Luigi getting a spark in his one brain cell… the list goes on. I’m a huge M&L fan who even loved Paper Jam, so I was so hyped for this game and it’s just really disappointing me in the opening to the point where I don’t want to continue. I don’t see how the game can recover past 6th place for me regardless of how good it might get later with how I feel about it at the moment, and most of my issues seem like they’ll span the entire runtime. Personal ranking is: 1. Dream Team - I’ve never understood the tutorial complaint, I’ve never really noticed it especially compared to Bowser’s Inside Story’s abundant tutorials for example. Maybe it’s because many DT players were already familiar with the series so didn’t need them so got annoyed? The world is just so well designed and the game feels like a journey through this island. Going everywhere has a purpose, I love the character designs and I love the dream world. The music and art style is also right up my alley. 2. Bowser’s Inside Story 3. Superstar Saga 4. Partners in Time 5. Paper Jam 6. Brothership (first few hours)
@@Mikey_573 you'll probably have the same opinion I did it's a mixed bag. The game gets more interesting about halfway through but it gets pretty boring and repetitive for a while. Except for the combat that's the main thing that kept me engaged.
Great video! Just found your channel through my RUclips suggestions. I'm hoping to try out Brothership in the coming weeks here myself and I'm really hoping some of the negative things that other people are saying about it online doesn't bother me too much. :)

When i will finish Brothership, for now 1. Partners in time 1.2. Dream Team Bros 1.3. Bowser's inside story
Just wanna throw this in? Here’s my list. 1.BIS 2. Dream Team 3. Brothership 4. superstars saga 5. Paper Jam 6. partners in time Note: partners in time is last because I haven’t been able to play it yet, I bet it is a great game tho. Brother ship isn’t a game I’ve beaten yet, but so far I’m greatly enjoying it and imo is one of the best looking switch games (love the art style and animation)
@@TheGalekGames I totally agree with you about brothership. It must be the most underrated game of the series. Anyways, you have to beat partners in time. It was the only game that the main Villain was much more bad than Bowser, thanks to Shroobs
@@marioandultrachap I have been there since the beginning. Bowsers inside story is easily the peak of the series. Superstar saga ain’t the best because it’s first. It’s 3rd place being generous
I kind of agree though. The problem with Bowser's inside story is that it kind of puts Mario and Luigi on the backburner even though it suppose to be their series not Bowser's. DT, SS, and Brothership were the only games that at least understood this.
Yeah putting brothrership over dream team is wild to me but you rank ss as number so I can't rag on you too much. I always did it like: 1. SS 2. DT 3. Broship 4. Inside story 5. Partners in Time 6. Paper Jam.
I would say that out of all of the Mario & Luigi games, Dream Team was the one that left me feeling most accomplished after completion. I still love Superstar Saga, BIS, and Partners in Time. I didn't enjoy Paper Jam at all. Nevertheless, based on your review, I am looking forward to playing Brothership.
Bro was cooking until he got to BiS... 😞 Mine would be: 1. Bowser's Inside Story 2. Partners in Time 3. Superstar Saga 4. Dream Team 5. Paper Jam Haven't finished Brothership yet, but so far it's looking to be either between 3 and 4 or 4 and 5. If we're including remakes separately: 1. BiS 2. PiT 3. SS 4. BiS DX 5. DT 6. SS DX 7. PJ
My list 1 partners in time 2 brothership 3 Dream team bros 4 inside story 5 superstar saga 6 paper jam Sorry for those who don't see their favorite games more higher but all games are so good that it was difficult for me to rank them
1- Bowser's Inside Story 2- Superstar Saga 3- Brothership 4- Partners in Time 5- Dream Team LAST- Paper Jam (sorry but you'll never be anything other than last place)
Here's my ranking of the m&l games : 1. All of them Those games are just so good, I cant decide which one I prefer, all of them have something to offer and I dont think there's one better than the others. I liked the video btw cuz it's cool :)
I've only played a handful of each one, so my list might be a little biased, but here it is so far...from worst to best... Paper Jam Dream Team Inside Story Brothership Partners In Time Superstar Saga Nintendo has a tendency to create "mediocre" games in a series after they try a revival. They did it here with Brothership and they did it with Orogami King. The "revival" game often falls in the middle...better than the worst but never topping the best.
I’m only 15 hours into Brothership but here’s my ranking as it stands for now: 1. Bowser’s Inside Story 2. Dream Team 3. Superstar Saga 4. Partners in Time 5. Brothership 6. Paper Jam (derogatory) Keep in mind I ADORE this series so Brothership being second to last is not at all bad. I’m having a great time with Brothership so far, I just have a few gripes that are holding it back from being up there with the others
@@setherfluous mostly accurate list but inside story and superstar saga would swap. Brothership would be slightly above inside story but not by a whole lot both games have problems Opposite to each other. They're very middle of the road. Bowser inside story is a good game but not a good Mario and luigi game while brothership ironically the exact Opposite its a good Mario and luigi game but not necessarily a great game.
My list is 6-Paper Jam 5-Dream Team 4-Brothership 3-Partners in Time 2-SuperStar Saga (i prefer the remake) 1-Bowser's Inside Story (i prefer the original) BIS is my favorite game of all time! Fawful and Dark Star/Dark Bowser are tied as my favorite video game villains of all time too! Sorry but i strongly disagree with this list, i respect your opinions tho....
Honestly with how much people dump on Paper Jam for its barebones story and uninspired aesthetic, I honestly forgot that Paper Jam is still technically a good game. When I played it the gameplay was pretty fun (Paper craft battles not withstanding) and introduced some great QOL features like emergency guard and cutscene speed up. Cutscene speed up especially is an incredible feature that improves the pacing of any game it's in automatically (Brothership included)
Personally, I disagree with most. But that doesn't matter as it's your list! I think the most important fact is, that the new devolping team has made a great piece of art to revive the series. And that's what gets me hyped. There's always room to improve and for a great first start, the hopes are high for further masterpieces.
Id say that i was a huge fan of the series but missed out on alot here. Of the two that ive played my ranking is 1. Superstar saga 2. Dream team Both games were an amazing discovery to me and im excited to get brothership for christmas this year. Im certain i will atleast like it even if i dont love it and will probably dive back into the older games just because if the nestalgia of playing these games! And excellent game series and should probably keep and eye out for the other highly esteemed games.
1 & 2. Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story, both games are very interchangeable depending on my mood 3. Brothership, the story is so good and it actually gives Luigi more to do than being Mario's shadow. And it improves the Combo mechanics Partners in Time had. 4. Partners in Time, it does nothing wrong and introduced combo attacks. But, I didn't like the Bros Attacks being purchasable instead of being an actual mechanic and rewarded. 5. Dream Team, it's a simple story bouncing from the real world and the dream world, as the Giant Luigi Battles are fun as Giant Bowser's battles. 6. Paper Jam, it's not bad, but it unfortunately relies on NSMB format Nintendo forced upon the Mario Series during that time.
Imo bowsers inside story is by far and away the best game in the series, had smooth combat, fun bros attacks, unique gameplay aspects, being able to see bowsers side of the story was really cool, it had the best humor, graphics wise I think it had the best mix of graphics and charm (after dream team they all looked the same and with the new 3d style I feel like some of that charm was lost,) BIS remains one of my favorite video games of all time, even after all these new amazing game come out like FFVII Rebirth, Elden ring, and so many more BIS will always have a special place in my gaming hall of fame along with the likes of Mario galaxy!
The original Superstar Saga! I remember seeing the ad for the game and knew I needed it. Played it nonstop on my GBA, and still have my original game cart to this day! The only game my collection is missis the BIS remake
Great ranking, can't comment on Paper Jam fully as I've only watched others playing some of it so far (although I suspect it would rank the same for the reasons you mentioned as much as I'd most likely enjoy it to an extent) - the same applies also to Brothership, but that I have started playing and so far I'm quite enjoying it -, but overall agree with what you said about each game!
1. Partners in time 2. Superstar saga 3. Dream Team 4. Paper Jam 5. Bowser’s inside story I have yet too play Brothership and it midt be number 2 for me and Bowser’s inside story (the og) is really overrated but the remake is good
Have not played Brothership enough to fully rank it; I am still early in. But I did say "Best in the series since Bowser's Inside Story." But I will pick a rough guess pending rating for the time being. 6) Paper Jam (Story just felt meh, and characters and enemies felt too generic. But here were fun puzzles and what not) 5) Dream Team (May be tutorial heavy early on, but it has amazing Dream World and Giant battles. And one of the best boss themes ever) 4) Partners in Time (Yeah, it was innovative at the time and the graphics were a step above. And 4 party members added variety, and biggest part was the dark story. But the biggest issue is some of the parts where Mario and Luigi were separated from the babies did get clunky; the most annoying part is them not having hammers to counter attack certain enemies without the babies) 2 or 3) Superstar Saga (Excellent start to the amazing series and also still one of the best. I do think the original is the better version; pressing start to switch who leads Mario or Luigi was peak. Also preferred the 2D art style and the music quality and enemy designs, and character diversity) 1-3) Brothership (It's just that good so far, and looking forward to be getting even better) 1 or 2) Bowser's Inside Story (The absolute best for me via playing as Bowser, but I might change my mind when I finish Brothership)
Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam is the only Mario & Luigi game I beat so far, but I would love to try to finish Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey sometime……as long as I get my 3DS fixed (the A Button on my 3DS doesn’t work that well anymore, making it very difficult to continue Bowser’s Inside Story and Dream Team)
My rankings 1. SS 2. BIS 3. Brothership 4. PiT 5. Dream Team 6. SS Remake 7. Paper Jam 8. BIS Remake None of these are really that bad (beside the horror Remake of the BIS, that can burn in hell)
In my opinion 1. BIS, I can agree it's overrated but it's for a good reason also toadsworth is in it 2. Brothership, maybe it's because new release but I enjoyed the story it's just pacing issues at times 3. Partners in time, I played it on a phone emulator so it wasn't the best experience to play but 100% it is still great. Our boy toadsworth is worth the pain of phone gameplay. Otherwise everything is great about the game 4. Superstar saga 5. Dream team, it's alright. Luigi isn't really my favorite character and that's really where it basically is supposed to sell all about luigi even more than brothership but it's still fun 6. Paper Jam, never even finished it. Paper Toad missions sucked.
I always think inside story is kind of undeserved number 1 since people played that game first so theres gonna be some bias there and it kind of misrepresents what the series is. They think its about Bowser when its not so it leaves a false impression.
@marioandultrachap I played Dream Team and Superstar saga before I ever played inside story. It's still Mario & Luigi who make this game amazing for me. The battle theme and the Bros moves are some of my most favorite parts of BIS. Honestly the only game that's better with bros moves is Dream team that has an even better selection though with a worse feeling game compared to the others. Bowser was just kinda of a mixed bag. He was good to be a one off playable character
@@war1011 but Mario and luigi are very much on back burner in this game. And I prefer superstar saga bros moves more cause after that they weren't even moves they were just items then in top of that if everyone's telling the game is the best your probably gonna believe yeah the game is the best. I been a fan into the series since the beginning played all the games in chronological order. Inside story was fun but I was more disappointed with inside story than anything especially fawful. I was hoping for more of a revenge story on fawful but you could of put any villian in that role and it wouldn't of changed the story that much. I put Dream Team as the second favorite for many reasons cause we didn't have another gimmick side character to play like the other games. Luigi was the center yes but it still focused on bros and luigis relationship to Mario and thats what Mario and luigi were about thats what superstar saga also emphasize. Though Bowser was fun it still took away from the main characters of the series being Mario Bros. Dream Team brought that back again and so did brothership but brothership is kind of a mixed bag it did a lot of things right but it did quite a few things wrong so I put it that game 3rd slightly above inside story. With Dream team second superstar saga number 1.
@@war1011 luigi not my favorite character either but in these games I like him alot he shows much more personality in this series than he does in the other Mario series
@@marioandultrachap I can definitely agree superstar saga was the most unique but I can't help but not say I basically never used any other bros moves after I obtained hammer moves being reasonably cheap and high damaging compared to future installments. PIT usually I vary attacks occasionally unless it's a boss so I use all of em, Inside Story & Dream team outside of shell and fire flower I constantly switch around in use, and Brothership in the progession I am in the fire & snow part I use all 6 moves available besides green shell just use the lightning instead. The only main reason I put inside story above brothership is because of how quickly you get the moves, brothership is my least favorite in that department and the ship early game sucks if you accidentally miss the cannon for the next island
Seeing a lot of hot takes in the comments and the video….how in the world is BiS not #1!!??! Bowser is AWESOME, CMON!!! The first 3 games are the best, I can actually see their placements being interchangeable, but how in the world anyone sees games 4 and beyond ranked ABOVE 1, 2 and 3 is beyond me…..to each their own I guess Shoot I absolutely loved both Minions games….i guess for me, #1 and #2 would have to be both 3DS remakes, mostly because of the Minions games. Plus BiS having those harder post game versions of the giant battles was great. BUT even if neither game had been remade Bowsers Inside Story is still #1 while Superstar Saga is #2, the 3DS remakes were really just the Cherry on top lol….Partners in Time is definitely #3 for me, it’s a shame it was never remade for the 3DS, but oh well
I think my recent replay of Paper Jam has raised it considerably in the rankings. I left it in my shelf with the 100% uncompleted (only the boss gauntlets), and thought not much of it until recently. I thought, that maybe the game deserved another chance, gave it a go, and I'm clearly enjoying it a lot more than Brothership. Not to say, that Brothership is bad, it just has inherent problems to it, like its pacing. The game feels way too slow to complete, barely gives you new attacks to play around with, and the combat got a little stale. Paper Jam kept me company by giving me a lot more variety to enemies, gave reason to learn their attacks with the expert challenge system, and has probably the best gameplay in the entire series. It's honestly surprising how much my opinion has changed, even though I'm not even done with either game currently. To give you my ranking, I would say: 1. Bowser's Inside Story (I think this is probably the most common spot for this game, which surprises no one) 2. Dream Team (Despite having a lot of tutorials, it's an incredibly fun game for me) 3. Paper Jam (Yeah, it used to be number 5, it got THIS high) 4. Partners in Time (This game holds a special place for me, and is highly replayable since it's on the shorter side, this used to be my favorite for a looooong time) 5. Brothership (Only winning the first in the series is a start, at least) 6. Superstar Saga (This is personally just less fun for me to play than the rest, might have something to do with the fact I played it last before Brothership was released)
Superstar saga is still king! Brothership has some major performance issues for me and the game takes soo long and there is so much dialogue like they think im new to these games lol.
1. Bowsers inside story 2. Dream team 3. Could go either superstar saga or brothership 4. Paper jam 5. I havent played partners in time yet Even though dream teams tutorials were too long, I still love the game. Brothership would be higher if they had the original composer imo.
I‘m kinda bummed that Brothership, despite its unique characters and worlds, is still afraid to feature unique Toads or even allude to a Toad Town in the intro. Since Toadsworth was alive up until Dream Team and came back in the Paper Mario remake, he should’ve been reintroduced here, alongside Toadbert and some other unique Toads, maybe some female or younger ones… Mario‘s bland era is mostly over, however the Toads are still not free. Even the Mario movie wasn’t allowed to feature unique ones. Free my boys and bring Toad Town back! If it one day returns to how it was in, say, Bowser’s Inside story, I‘m finally gonna be happy with the Mario series again.
@@haris_kekos you're just either lying to yourself or having not enough knowledge about game design. PIT is quite bad compared to BIS and DIT, that's all 😂 People having other views and opinions doesn't mean hate
My list: 1: bowser’s inside story. My first m&l and still my favorite. Love the story and how bowser controls and love the giant bowser battles. 2. Superstar saga. Best story of the lot. Can swap between luigi and mario but remake ruined that. Best og characters. 3. Dream team. Highly underrated with a great plot and amazing combat. Beginning is slow and tutorial heavy but so was bis and nobody complains near as loudly about those. 4. Brothership. Best visuals and a fun creative narrative. Cons: boring sanitized mario npcs like toads and bowser’s minions can’t have ages or distinct features anymore. Also toadsworth is still dead. Music is also just average and more in the background than ever before. Second best combat in the series. Best bosses. 5. Partners in time. Thrilling narrative, and great music. Sadly let down by overlinear level design so segmented That it never feels like a real breathing world. 6. Paper jam: best music and combat in the series that is unfortunately wasted on the blandest most dull plot in the series. To top things off, the over reliance on mini games, most of which are mind numbingly boring, that just stop progress makes this game the worst in the series even if the combat saves it from being a bad game.
1. BIS 2. Superstar Saga 3. PIT 4. Paper Jam Stereotypcial but Bowser's Inside Story is a phenomenal game. I prefer the bro attacks over the store-bought ones of Partners. Plus, Partners has the worst final boss(es) in the series in my opinion; however, it gets points for the story. I think paper jam is overhated and is actually pretty close to Partners in Time. If the worlds and bosses had the same vibes as the other games, I think it would be one of my favorites. The story was also lackluster. I bought Dream Team a couple days ago, so I'll get to play that and Brothership pretty soon. I'll update my ranking if I remember.

To me personally, I'd say Brothership has claimed the top spot.

Bowser's Inside Story in 3rd.
Superstar Saga in 4th.
Partners in Time in 5th.
And of course, Paper Jam in last. Screw Paper Jam.

Number two being partners in time is absolutely perfect.
Great list.
I’m glad we share the same opinion! 🧑🍳 🤝
Personal ranking is:
2. Bowser’s Inside Story
3. Superstar Saga
4. Partners in Time
5. Paper Jam
6. Brothership (first few hours)
Very valid points here! The game certainly opens up after the first few hours! I’d love to see your ranking once you’re done!

I kind of agree though. The problem with Bowser's inside story is that it kind of puts Mario and Luigi on the backburner even though it suppose to be their series not Bowser's. DT, SS, and Brothership were the only games that at least understood this.

I've only played a handful of each one, so my list might be a little biased, but here it is so far...from worst to best...
Paper Jam
Dream Team
Inside Story
Brothership
Partners In Time
Superstar Saga
Nintendo has a tendency to create "mediocre" games in a series after they try a revival. They did it here with Brothership and they did it with Orogami King. The "revival" game often falls in the middle...better than the worst but never topping the best.
Nice ranking! It’ll be interesting to see if it changes after you finish the games!

I know the feeling completely here! It is how I am with Dream Team.. Second bottom but so good still
@@setherfluous mostly accurate list but inside story and superstar saga would swap.

Bowser's inside story is brutal. The another Mario & Luigi Rpg games, I have to play it more. I'm here for the giveaway.
Dream Team and Paper Jam have always been my favorites and always will. Can't wait to play Brothership though later this month
Very nice! You will enjoy Brothership!
Paper Jam started good, but dragged on so long it was horrible. Worst one by far alongside BIS.
Personally, I disagree with most. But that doesn't matter as it's your list!
I think the most important fact is, that the new devolping team has made a great piece of art to revive the series. And that's what gets me hyped. There's always room to improve and for a great first start, the hopes are high for further masterpieces.
@@maxikle Absoloutely! I could toss a coin for my #3 and #4 spots! But my 1 and 2 are locked in. A great series none the less
Whatever the ranking, all games of this series are not trash games, all are goods
Exactly!!
Id say that i was a huge fan of the series but missed out on alot here.
Of the two that ive played my ranking is
1. Superstar saga
2. Dream team
Both games were an amazing discovery to me and im excited to get brothership for christmas this year.
Im certain i will atleast like it even if i dont love it and will probably dive back into the older games just because if the nestalgia of playing these games! And excellent game series and should probably keep and eye out for the other highly esteemed games.
1 & 2. Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story, both games are very interchangeable depending on my mood
It’s finally out!
Yes it is!
I'm so excited for this game!! I would love to play it!
You will enjoy it!
Partners in time is goated ngl

There are references to Superstar Saga in not only the Mario & Luigi games
Example 1: Paper Mario, The Thousand Year Door with the Chuckola Cola
The original Superstar Saga! I remember seeing the ad for the game and knew I needed it. Played it nonstop on my GBA, and still have my original game cart to this day! The only game my collection is missis the BIS remake
Oh wow! I remember getting it for Christmas! Was a really good present as a kid. I still have my original copy! Great series

Yep! And I really really like it! I do prefer TTYD though and the original!
Thanks mate! Took a while for my order. I felt so guilty placing BIS at #4 but the series is that good it’s a compliment.
1. Partners in time
2. Superstar saga
3. Dream Team
4. Paper Jam
5. Bowser’s inside story
I have yet too play Brothership and it midt be number 2 for me and Bowser’s inside story (the og) is really overrated but the remake is good
Superstar saga is my favourite
A fantastic choice!
Mine too
Same
Have not played Brothership enough to fully rank it; I am still early in. But I did say "Best in the series since Bowser's Inside Story." But I will pick a rough guess pending rating for the time being.
6) Paper Jam (Story just felt meh, and characters and enemies felt too generic. But here were fun puzzles and what not)
5) Dream Team (May be tutorial heavy early on, but it has amazing Dream World and Giant battles. And one of the best boss themes ever)
4) Partners in Time (Yeah, it was innovative at the time and the graphics were a step above. And 4 party members added variety, and biggest part was the dark story. But the biggest issue is some of the parts where Mario and Luigi were separated from the babies did get clunky; the most annoying part is them not having hammers to counter attack certain enemies without the babies)
2 or 3) Superstar Saga (Excellent start to the amazing series and also still one of the best. I do think the original is the better version; pressing start to switch who leads Mario or Luigi was peak. Also preferred the 2D art style and the music quality and enemy designs, and character diversity)
1-3) Brothership (It's just that good so far, and looking forward to be getting even better)
1 or 2) Bowser's Inside Story (The absolute best for me via playing as Bowser, but I might change my mind when I finish Brothership)
Superstar saga's number 1...smart man. suprised mofos didn't say Bowser's inside story like everyone else lol.
!!! Yeah. I always loved Superstar Saga. A great game
Oh very nice! You will have a blast on all of them!
My rankings
1. SS
2. BIS
3. Brothership
4. PiT
5. Dream Team
6. SS Remake
7. Paper Jam
8. BIS Remake
None of these are really that bad (beside the horror Remake of the BIS, that can burn in hell)
In my opinion
1. BIS, I can agree it's overrated but it's for a good reason also toadsworth is in it
2. Brothership, maybe it's because new release but I enjoyed the story it's just pacing issues at times
3. Partners in time, I played it on a phone emulator so it wasn't the best experience to play but 100% it is still great. Our boy toadsworth is worth the pain of phone gameplay. Otherwise everything is great about the game
4. Superstar saga
5. Dream team, it's alright. Luigi isn't really my favorite character and that's really where it basically is supposed to sell all about luigi even more than brothership but it's still fun
The first 3 games are the best, I can actually see their placements being interchangeable, but how in the world anyone sees games 4 and beyond ranked ABOVE 1, 2 and 3 is beyond me…..to each their own I guess
Shoot I absolutely loved both Minions games….i guess for me, #1 and #2 would have to be both 3DS remakes, mostly because of the Minions games. Plus BiS having those harder post game versions of the giant battles was great. BUT even if neither game had been remade Bowsers Inside Story is still #1 while Superstar Saga is #2, the 3DS remakes were really just the Cherry on top lol….Partners in Time is definitely #3 for me, it’s a shame it was never remade for the 3DS, but oh well
Fantastic video. My favourite is bowsers inside story
Legend! A great choice
I need that game.... I pray that switch was gonna continue the series and they have answered
All fantastic games! I think I have the same ranking as you except I would switch Paper Jam with Dream Team. The tutorials kill DT for me.
That’s awesome. Yeah the tutorials sucked in DT. But the game was certainly great!
Bowser inside story 4?! Really? That was the peak of the series in my opinion.
To give you my ranking, I would say:
1. Bowser's Inside Story (I think this is probably the most common spot for this game, which surprises no one)
2. Dream Team (Despite having a lot of tutorials, it's an incredibly fun game for me)
3. Paper Jam (Yeah, it used to be number 5, it got THIS high)
4. Partners in Time (This game holds a special place for me, and is highly replayable since it's on the shorter side, this used to be my favorite for a looooong time)
5. Brothership (Only winning the first in the series is a start, at least)
6. Superstar Saga (This is personally just less fun for me to play than the rest, might have something to do with the fact I played it last before Brothership was released)
Superstar saga is still king! Brothership has some major performance issues for me and the game takes soo long and there is so much dialogue like they think im new to these games lol.
Rating dream team and bis so low is a sin.
Superstar saga is my second fav so no complaints there

it sucks that my switch lcd breaks when playing brothership. cant afford the cost to replace new lcd, so i just play the game with busted screen
I‘m kinda bummed that Brothership, despite its unique characters and worlds, is still afraid to feature unique Toads or even allude to a Toad Town in the intro. Since Toadsworth was alive up until Dream Team and came back in the Paper Mario remake, he should’ve been reintroduced here, alongside Toadbert and some other unique Toads, maybe some female or younger ones…
Mario‘s bland era is mostly over, however the Toads are still not free. Even the Mario movie wasn’t allowed to feature unique ones. Free my boys and bring Toad Town back! If it one day returns to how it was in, say, Bowser’s Inside story, I‘m finally gonna be happy with the Mario series again.

Hot take: paper jam #1
Should he be ranking because why did bro put Dream Team in the bottom 2?😑
it's average
Very game is good in my opinion
Every one is goated
My list:
1: bowser’s inside story.
1. Superstar Saga
2. Bowser's Inside Story
3. Brothership
4. Partners In Time
5. Paper Jam
6. Dream Team
1. BIS
2. Superstar Saga
3. PIT
4. Paper Jam
Stereotypcial but Bowser's Inside Story is a phenomenal game.
