These aren't "secrets", these are common sense (for the most part). And it's sad how a lot of drivers out there don't know it.
Well since a lot of drivers don't know these tips, doesn't that make them secrets? But common sense to others.
***** Trust me, man: "Common sense" these days is like "abstract sense" to too many folks out there... sadly....
I agree
+iRepTurtless Aren't many of these ''secrets'' something you learn at driving school, or just by driving yourself gaining experience?
hey ,if anyone else is searching for anxiety about driving try Debuncar Fearless Drive Aid (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy got great results with it.
"Wipers on, Lights on" Its literally a law in a lot of states.
Dude, I really enjoy watching all of your videos, either the "how to" videos, or review videos!!! You should definitely have many many more subscribers!!! Keep up the good work!! Cheers!
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!! very in formative on rain safety. I would also love to see more aggressive videos, and some more reviews. Zac Henson
This video helped a lot!
Love your videos as always! How about a tutorial on controlling a skid? In both a manual and automatic car? Thanks!
Can you do a video on how to take care of your clutch? Things to do and not to do to get the most out of your clutch. Thanks! Enjoyed all your videos.
It was pouring hardcore today when driving back home on the freeway/highway, it was terrifying. Especially behind those semis that spray water when you're behind them.
Where I live (Norway) daytime running lights are permitted at all times. Some of it has to do with the fact that in winter time, it gets dark as early as 2-3 pm.
But even on a bright summer day, having your lights on just feels safer. mainly because it's a lot easier to spot other cars. There could be shadows from trees or buildings, and in tunnels. Also, when pulling onto a road or passing cars it's much easier and faster to spot a car coming in the distance with it's lights on. I honestly find it annoying and strange to drive in other countries, where lights aren't used in the day after being used to this. Still, Norway is (if not even the only one), one of very few places with this law. Having the lights on doesn't hurt anyone, and makes it less likely you'll collide with another car because "you didn't see it" (This happens a lot)
I think cars in North America all require automatic running lights now. Though you have the older cars with idiot drivers who don't turn them on in thick rain, so when people pass on a two lane highway, they can't see oncoming traffic and collide or almost collide.
permitted? its MANDATORY at all times
thanks is very helpful
Also try to get rainX or some other product similar to it. It makes the water just slip right off your windshield.
I will love if you review a mk5 gti
I wanna see a blooper reel!
Any tips on the side mirrors during rain? I find them useless during bad weather & feel very uncomfortable driving...
I can't believe my driving instructor used a Vehicle Virgins video for drivers ed.
Step one Channel in your inner Ayrton Senna
Step two Go fast as hell & if you can handle it and not crash proceed to step 3
Step three Award yourself with Pizza for being such a good driver
ali129 step 4 wake up from your coma and realize you were in a fatal accident that killed a small child and their father.

Review 2013 Nissan Rogue FWD Please.
I seen this video in a defensive driving course. :)
Very good. Only I do not agree with the 7th.
In sweden is law to have head lights on all the time, and u cant combo "normal headlights" with anything.
Where is "here"?
And sorry, I will try to be more clear.
In Sweden its law to always have low beams or daytime running lights on even during the day. It is ok to use parking lights at the same time as low beams, but you may no use low beams in combinations with any other light, be it high beams, fog lights, or any sort of extra lights.
And as you said its safe to always have lights on.
My exam is today and it's raining 😂
The only problem I have is not seeing clearly like I don't even see the lines any tips?
what if you have to merge ? aren't you supposed to be speeding when merging?
can you tell us how to steer it while turning in a curve
and always remember to avoid driving a RWD car as much as possible and keep your lovely M5 cocooned in the garage! but hey just take out when you really wanna have fun for some Hours! here in Vermont they put a lot of salt so unless you wanna get your car some rust you're good! but here almost everyone have a beater truck for winter. hey i have BOLD TIRES! like really really BOLD AS BOLD EAGLE, THEY JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN CAUSE 'MURICAN;) i loved how you called they bold instead flat!
Bald, not bold.
Bald tire is different from a flat tire
That sucks cuz I really want a car but it has rwd.... godamn it
RWD means what? Thanks for the tips..I learn a lot
Honelyn Arapoc rear wheel drive. BMW. Mercedes normally have rwd cars
I never heard RWD here in my country Philippines. Maybe its very expensive...
+Honelyn Arapoc Maybe you've never heard the term but it is very common. Majority of cars are RWD. And its not expensive. RWD is also on one of the cheapest cars as it is also one of the most basic wheel layouts for a car.
Clement Cheung ahhhh. I got you.. Because I remember we use to term it as FROnt drive if the 2 wheels on front are being used and the RWD is 4X2 its same meaning .. Thank you so much..
my drivers test is on monday and it’s gonna rain and i’m hella scared

Wanting your car
does awd help with driving in the rain?
Yes
In addition to all of this, I've heard that you shouldn't use cruise control.
What car are you driving?
Do not talk with your hands Keep both hands on the steering wheel it is a lot safer
hey ,if anyone else wants to discover anxiety about driving try Tarbetti Car Coping Tutor (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my neighbor got amazing success with it.
If you turn your light on it reflects off the wet ground and makes it hard to see so...
If you drive without ANY headlights on, you're a complete idiot. If it's single direction travel and it's lit up already, whatever. But I have never heard anyone say 'I would rather not see the ground/road/reflectors at all, than see a slight shimmer', I can't count how many near misses I have seen on two lane highways in the rain where someone went to pass and didn't see an oncoming car, entirely because the idiot didn't have any lights on. (There are a reason they had lighthouses).
If someone is using the oncoming lane to pass then they are the idiot. Designated passing zones should be (by courtesy, not law) null in void during the rain, or heavy fog. Just Because I don't have the my lights on (which if you read a drivers manual at a dmv, I think they say is a risky idea due to possible reflection from water, but I might be thinking high beams so I'll just leave that alone) doesn't mean it my fault for a head on collision with a car in MY lane. If it's clear or light rain, cool use the pass zone , but if it's down pouring so hard that you need lights to see, then you basically signed your own death sentence with a move like that.
Hey there, I sent you a message on Facebook. Looking at buying an E39 M5 and would like your opinion on it. Any help would be appreciated!
I hope you bought one and spent an ungodly penny upgrading it. It's a little lacking in stock form. I love e39 m5s.

interesting points ,if anyone else wants to discover fear of driving a carhow to overcome phobia of driving try Tarbetti Car Coping Tutor ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin got great success with it.
That’s not what a secret is.
Nice safe advice, the thing that always annoys me is dum asses who don't know that if you have your wipers on maybe you should have your lights, this is common in the Seattle area, as is people driving without sunglasses on or their sun visor down, but rather trying to block the Sun with their hand up! That advice about not driving fast when it rains I disagree with especially for people from The NW (Seattle) it's Monsoon season 9 months a year I think We know how to drive in the rain thank you very much. Also can you think of a better time to learn how to drift than when it's raining, so turn off the traction control and leave on the bald tires (they're gonna be toast anyway) and get out there and piss people off with your U-turn drifts, they'll only be pissed off if they can't do it, the folks at the bus stop will look at you like your a Greek Driving God, Driveropoclees if you please. Haa ha ha Lol!
yeppers, love driving in the wet. We live in Mobile, Al and have some torrential down pours year round.
We hate it when jackasses drive slowly with their hazzards on but their lights are off, wtf over?
hi everyone ,if anyone else needs to find out about dealing with anxiety while driving try Tarbetti Car Coping Tutor ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got amazing results with it.
Traction control, lol. NA drivers EleGiggle
This video is overly basic and boring. There is no unique information and everything in this video is pretty obvious. I feel like it was just churned out because it was an easy video to do - there is no depth to it.
You literally said "don't speed" five times. Does your mother watch these videos or something? People can drive at a speed in line with their focus and skill level - besides, if someone is going to speed, they're going to do it regardless of what you say. This video should have been more about technique, rather than obvious things like "turn your lights on" and "don't speed".
