The detail😮 even the windscreen of the car is dusty at the edges where the wipers cant reach. Very much looking forward to the rest of this!

31:17 The triangles and trapezoids, like the lines, are only counting the ones uninterrupted by other strings. I was surprised by the low number too (I got 13, 6, and 6) but we were apparently solving a harder puzzle than what was written 😂
Using Unreal Engine 5 to make the environments and the animations for this game is such a good use of its features! It saves a lot of time for the developer and gives, even smaller games, a quality feel.
Unreal Engine is fantastic.

YT randomly put this in my recommends, and now I’m desperately wishing I still had the attention span for video games. I would’ve LOVED to have games like this back in the late 90s, when I was a teenager & in my peak video game era. I remember how tough it was to find anything like this…it was all shooters & high fantasy combat. I just wanted a good story & vibes😭

well that looks like a Black Bear attack. American black bears are the only known bear species in West Virginia, the setting for this story. but they don't attack without provocation so....

I found a point and click recently called Rhiannon Curse of the four Branches. It looked up your ally. I thought it was a little hard, more like older Nancy Drew maybe. I've never played Nancy Drew and have only seen you play them.

i loved meridian 157 so so much so i'm thrilled that there's another game by the same folks!! can't wait to see more of this when it comes out :D also, if i were to make a "gab puzzle game" bingo, i would be putting "Oh dear lord!!!" in the center square because it always happens at least once whenever gab encounters A Beeg Puzzle ahaha XD
I have theories: what if we (Ethan) are the killer and Jen has put all these puzzles in place to slow us down, or vice versa with Jen being the killer

That's a 3½ inch floppy. Those were invented/commercialized in 1986.
Not complaining, just being nerdy. And. Well, the bigger floppies would be less recognizable so it's all good. Just, a small timing mistake.
There were some miscellaneous electronic parts in meridian too that were far too modern. Some add on cards that had pci slot connector in them. Or pci-e can't remember. And, yep even less meaningful than getting a type of floppy wrong by a few years.
I'm a retro enthusiast or whatever, so it sticks into my eye a bit. Does not bother, just stick out. And dang do i appreciate old tech being on show in these.

Not my kind of game, but the music, ambiance, and aesthetics of it is beautiful. Some voice acting could go a long way in not making this monotonous right out the gate imo. Still a beautiful looking game.
