Rayman 3 was best on gamecube. Rayman HD is missing the skits, has graphical issues, globox isnt as robust in his comments when you wallop him, madder is absent.

Gamecube has exclusive minigames with GBA and a few special shaders. Xbox at most looks and sounds cleaner due to larger disk space so by default it uses the highest quality assets.
If anyone wants to play the game in HD without any bugs, just get the PC version with the "better rayman 3" mod, it fixes all the issues, allows for widesceen resolutions and adds controller support. For HD textures there's a mod called "Better Rayman 3 HD" (unaffiliated with the aforementioned mod) as well as some separate ones for button prompts for controllers.
I'm betting that this version is gonna be the Rayman 3 remaster on the Switch,this is Ubisoft.We're talking about,it's not like they're gonna do peak fiction justice. GameCube all the way baby!

You got every point right, but I want to give a few corrections. - The audio is not quite broken. Basically every piece of of every track in the game now has an extra millisecond of void, thus making them sounds like their broken, while in reality the tracks are fine. - The intro with the Madder song only appears after two laps on the title screen only in the PC version. In every other version it plays right after the Unisoft logo and/or language selection screen. And yes, to summarize, Rayman 3 HD is one step forward and five steps back in terms of quality. You're far better off just pkaying the original, either on og hardware or emulated. On top of this there are various patches, mods and other improvements for basically all the original versions, and we (me and some members of the community) are still finding new ways to refine and improve the experience with all the tools available, mainly for the PC version, but consoles versions do have some stuff as well. On this regard, I made two guides on RPC on how to setup R3 either on PC and emulating the og Xbox version on PC, with all the improvements available. It may seem a pain to go trhough all that concoluted setup, but the end resoult would be far better than R3 HD, so give it a look if you're interested. As for my favorite version, I grew up with the PC one, which I still think it's the most polished overall, but I also love the og Xbox version because the graphics is far better on that. I don't like the GameCube one but it has some neat stuff. PS2 has next to nothing og unique but it's pretty balanced, tho the other versions are better at those individual aspects that the PS2 ver tries to do all at once. I have quite some experience with R3 versions and I know every difference between them like my pockets, so I know what I'm talking about, even tho it's kinda hard to explain them in such few words. Idk how I feel about this possible R3 remaster on switch. My guess is that would be yet another sloppy port, or at best a fair enogh remaster that could be what Rayman 3 HD should have been since the beginning. I just hope they won't DLCs, limited collector editions and other crap, but knowing Ubisoft they probably will do all that. In any case, no matter how they'll screw that up, I still have the original game to go back to at any time, like I always do and continue to do.
It's the version I've been playing because the only other one I have is the PC one but I just wanna play it on a console because it's comfortable. I definitely hope this upcoming remaster will be better, that'll definitely replace it. I honestly like playing HD though, it hasn't broken or anything for me yet

The same thing happened 11 years later with Pikmin 1 HD and Pikmin 2 HD for Switch, most specifically in Pikmin 2 HD, they deleted every single real life brand reference present in the GameCube version, they deleted the Ai no uta reference at getting 20 Pikmin of each type, the game contains very glitches, etc. Like for making an cheaper remastered versions of the two GameCube games for promoting the newest Pikmin game at these times, Pikmin 4
Most Seventh gen Remasters of sixth gen games are the weirdass thing ever, like Ratchet and Clank 3 HD where Ratchet's helmet is big and floats in his Head, or Jak II HD with its Racist Kor glitch, Rayman 3 HD its the least bad of these ports

I got the game for my Xbox series S on sale one day. I liked what I played but I found some of the audio mixing to be... kind of terrible, though I didn't think It was because the port was bad rather I remember that being the case in a lot of sixth gen Ubisoft games, especially the Prince of Persia trilogy. I thought it was just the usual Ubisoft jank that's asociated with their games.
I'm not a hardcore Rayman fan, I just found this somehow and clicked out of curiosity. Admittedly the title and thumbnail made me think there was a brand new remaster that Ubisoft found a way to fumble.
I also like the HD Remaster because you can score over 100K points. Land of the Livid Dead has so many combos and diamonds. I scored 197K points(the video is in my channel)
If they'll remaster "Rayman 3", they should do next: 1. New game plus - after completing the main story, you can replay the game from the beginning, but with the Power of Leptys being available since the very first level, it can help you earn more points from defeating hoodlums in the first half of the game 2. Achievements - various achievements to complete 3. Hoodlum's Revenge dlc - you can replay "Rayman: Hoodlum's Revenge" with much higher resolution and also with all the combat fatigues from "Rayman 3: Hoodlum's Havoc", including the shock rocket and vortex ones. 4. 2D Nightmare mini game - Nintendo GameCube exclusive mini game is now available for all the other consoles

The og is probably better but I don’t own a GameCube and the HD version is backwards compatible on modern Xbox consoles so that’s the only version I can play easily. That’s my reason. :)
I'm afraid you're right. I actually removed my Rayman 3 HD from XBOX 360 hardrive, because the lack of quality. Framerate is not stable and as ridiculous as it sounds; textures are far better on PS2 -version. -Just zoom in first -person view & compare. -Extremely pixelated mess on 360, despite HDMI -cable and HD. Dreamy -look of some levels on the PS2 -version is gone as well. Only positive is that FMV looks cleaner than on old versions. -Get PS2 PAL -version for the best one, instead. It's oddly somewhat better than NGC & XBOX -versions, i think so.
@@SamTRC I'm using an emulator while storing the installer files I copied from my CDs long ago on my external storage. What's your point? GOG uses the same kind of digital installers.

I just play the ubisoft version on uplay with a mod that heavily upscales the quality to 1440p. Actually looks brilliant.

Maybe the skits where removed because they were recorded in low quality and they did not have the assets to re record it for some reason.
