- This is video #1 in the series and I'll be discussing all things propane tanks. Sourcing my 500 gallon and 250 gallon propane tanks was no walk in the park, so I figured I should make a comprehensive video sharing my experience and insights.

U-haul rentals.. pickup & auto carrier.. don’t tell them what you are hauling, they might not let you have the equipment. Yes, you still have to get it loaded and unloaded but you’ll save.. $$’s
Yes, forward thinking is so important!
And I was chuckling..
Haha glad you enjoyed. All great points by the way!!
Dude you’re awesome. Im an electrical contractor looking to turn bbq pit master. So much info here bro-keep it rollin
Bro thank you for showing some love!! You’ll be a Pitmaster in no time brother. Massive respect for the trades btw- keep crushing 🍻👊
There’s a lot of good information in this video. I have one recommendation though. If anyone is planning on building a smoker for potential catering/restaurant business, I recommend building a bigger smoker than you may think you need. I built me a 500 for my food trailer and catering business, and I’m kicking myself for not building a 1000. Anyways good luck with your build. Hope to see more content from you!
Great point brother! I just did a big 4th of July cook for about 60 people and had the smoker pretty well loaded up. I could definitely see the need to build up in size if catering/restaurant was the main use. Appreciate the support- going to start rolling out a handful of videos of the actual build over the next couple weeks 👊
Just bought a 250 gallon and a 100 gallon for the firebox yesterday. Threw it in the back of my Sierra 1500 and my buddy had a tractor where we’re building it. Picked it up at a recycling center by my job for $186, wasn’t an issue at all.
Awesome!! Glad it was pretty seamless for you. Appreciate your support brother have fun with the build 👊
Hope you have success with this channel. You covered a lot of the logistics that get overlooked with this one. Hope to see more of your build.
Thanks dude the support family. Dropping another video this week.

Your content is great. Would love some sort of way to talk builds and our results from our 500 gallon builds. I only have about 150 hours on my first 500 and mid October im starting my second mirrored 500 for a dual 500gal trailer. I'm about 5 videos deep and you've hit alot of good points.
Hey family would love to chat! Shoot me a DM on Instagram (BigFrizz99) and I’ll send over my cell # and we can hop on a call and chat smokers 👊 keep chugging along, sounds like you’re building something epic over there
Post your videos🤙
Awesome video. I know you mentioned the tank size and the firebox tank matching up. If I am using a 250 for the smoker, what size tank do I need for the firebox?
Firstly,
Thank you for the support brother. Truly appreciate it!
In regards to the firebox. I’ve seen folks use a halved 250 gallon as their firebox on a 250 gallon smoker and I’ve seen them smaller. I think the biggest rule of thumb is ensuring your firebox diameter is adequate. If you have access to steel and prices aren’t too crazy, your best luck would be getting a 24” rolled steel pipe for your firebox. 24” is the perfect diameter in my opinion for working fires. From there you could just pick the length and yours set. If you wanted to insulate it or semi insulate it then set that pipe inside a halved 250 gallon and you’re all set in that regard as well. Hope this helped.
I guess you have not heard of an extension cord.
Guess not big boy 🤷♂️
