L.A. Sanitation’s Finest: Small Rear Load Garbage Truck on Illegal Dumps (Pt.1)

- One of the Sanitation’s Livability Service Division’s (LSD) programs is the Altered Shift Illegal Dumping program. This shift works from 3PM to 11:30PM Monday-Friday. They take care of the awful piles of trash this city has that have been illegally dumped. Alleyways are most susceptible to illegal dumping in Los Angeles, so certain equipment go in these alleyways to collect. Small equipment that can easily navigate these alleys. Here we have a satellite truck (Ford F-550 New Way Diamondback RL) doing just that.
These little machines can pack a good load, I’m talking 2-3 tons (even 4 if you really push it), however it does also depend on the type of material you’re collecting. You’ll see these trucks have a TON of power and can crush almost anything you throw in. These awesome guys were able to pack this truck out with 2.4 tons to show for it. The twins definitely kick ass, and took care of business and left all the stops looking clean and much better than when they first arrived.
So enjoy them here working overtime collecting illegal dump piles in the Pico Union and Leimert Park neighborhoods of L.A. on an overcast Saturday morning. Big thanks to them! Thank you for watching! This truck is an absolute unit. especially after eating a whole dang couch I would love to see some more of this little beast. Great work.

Nice video! Definitely gotta get more video of them collecting illegal dumping. They are definitely my favorite MLs now and tons of fun to watch not only on illegal dumping ,but also when they come and collect my cans . I never thought these little trucks can pack in so much but damn they sure can . Look forward on watching your other video of them soon !

A qui no Brasil tinha que ter uma coleta de resíduos assim aqui no Brasil tem uns caminhões do tamanho de um trem e não recolhe metade dos resíduos e este pequeno caminhão de coleta levam uma carga de resíduo maior do que ele comporta parabéns

That little rear loader has no business picking up bulk items no no they have those Six wheel Peter builts that is great for this application.
If those two men go any slower they will fall asleep
