10/10 Interview
nowadays he's just trolling with it. he even put it on some of his instagram captions not too long ago
00:16
Ma lol
That's the first thing that i think after the interwiew 😂. ICEMAN❄️❄️
I made 1000 like!
“Do you not read the contract?”
“I don’t care”
kimi rly dont care,he do what he love, ill bet my monthly, there is in his sauber contract,he can do anything in his freetime, and there will be not many sponsor or media times... just wish to see kimi in karaoke
I bet he does read the part on the money though 🤣
@@AndresGrimace Time stamp please ? I missed it...
Skillz I don’t have a time stamp but it’s in the first 3-4 minutes
@@fernandb.6162 The question that triggers it starts at 2:49
He was actually in a good mood during the interview. He must like Will.
Will is good with all the drivers and knows what they like to to be treated and how they don't . Stroll for example I think has a real bromance with Will cos Will often leaps to his defence when people from both media and fans are bashing him about only being in F1 due to his dad's money.
He really looks chilled out lately, it's all bwoahh ;)
Will is very gentle , but Kimi is in a good mood in general since Austin. Unloaded a truck from his shoulders.
when its the official F1 channel kimi always turns up
Everybody likes Will
I love Kimi saying he never had an motivation, I'm just imagining him randomly ending up in F1 saying "bwoah, this is okay I guess."
he doesn't come from a rich family but he was just a kid who was naturally fast and loved it. in his book it says that ending up in f1 was actually over the expectations for his parents at least, and it was a sum of kimi's performance, multiple people behind him and a bit of luck as well. his career has a very different foundation from the next gen stars, whose goal from day 1 might be to be an f1 driver.
0:00-0:05 kimi sleep mode 00:06 Kimi activated
Haha yep!😂
'Welcome back" LMAO
probably with Windows noise )
fuck that made me laugh so hard staring at his face
He’s conserving energy for an overtake later
Will: Do you read the contract?
Kimster: I don't care.
LEGEND 10/10
Don't care about contract.
LEGEND!
Will Buxton is so good at what he does. Liberty Media did a stellar job choosing him for this job. Great interview, thank you.
For sure a great interview. Check this one with Kimi: ruclips.net/video/5RBZFVCHZEc/видео.html these guys do True or false with drivers and team bosses.
No.
im a simple man, i see kimi i click like button
Simple man, same like me. Same like Kimi!
who doesn't... every human being should click this DAMN clip... ;D
Simple? Well that sucks for you man
Ah, a man of intellect I see
You mean the eslow batton?
Hiring Will Buxton was a stroke of genius from Liberty. Dude is so much better than these cookie cutter interviewers who get the same answers from drivers all the time. Also shows his respect for the drivers and passion for the sport
Will brings out the best in people. There is not a false note to him.
Imagine a Beyond the Grid Episode with him. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two
It is !
Buxton has like all F1-engineers the mindset and ability to change and turn his view of perspective on a content or a person
plus he's very communicative.
Good man - a n d very English, isn't he!
Miss the rest..... steve matchet, david hobbs keith Leafy..... true and entertaining ,funny men
Yes, Will is fantanHaastic :)
0:00-0:06 Here we see a rare glimpse of the Kimi Booting-Up Procedure (KBUP).
In Kimi's case it would be KPUB
lmao this is the funniest shit i've seen all week
6 seconds thats pretty fast definitely running on an M.2 ssd
😂
He didn't even blinked.
Once again, amazing interview by Will. I can't remember the last time Kimi was so chill and open in a discussion like this. Every driver seems to like him and he always asks the right questions in the right way. Give this guy a raise! :)
In Mexico WTF1 did challenge with Kimi and he acted the same way. I quess things are going well for him
Ha! Salad fingers! That was a throwback to about 13 years ago when I watched it with some classmates during the breaks.
@@Fred_P Hehe, I watched it more than a decade ago myself, marked me for life :D
@@Elias23_ Maybe you're right, but then again Matt is also a great personality and interviewer
Will has high EQ for sure
I love how Kimi joked about how Ferrari dropped him cause he can't speak Italian
@TechAndCode.info any idea what he said there?
Finnish state media reported it as the factor why he did not get the contract renewed. They probably did not watch the video. Fake news, he was joking ffs.
@@andreasmakinen5838 ich glaube Ferrari interessiert es nicht ob er italienisch kann oder nicht
Kimi is seriously the most down to earth driver right now, along with Ricciardo.
IMO, Danny is just a little too full of himself. He's not bad by F1 standards, but still...
Vettel seems to be quite grounded as well
@@geonerd That's mostly his persona though, he probably isn't that bad off camera.
@@geonerd I don't think he's full of himself at all, he has the potential to do well, he knows he has the potential to do well but he's been held back by an unreliable car. Maybe that attitude isn't actually what you're referring to but he always seems like a genuinely good guy no matter who he's with.
Don't think Ricciardo is grounded infact I think it's the opposite. I'm glad that idiot Verstappen kid showed him his place by outpacing him throughout the year.
When Kimi retires, F1 TV viewing figures drop around 30%
i wonder if it will drop due to alonso leaving... I doubt it but possibly a small percent
50*
@Filipe Leite f1 will lose a lot of fans from Fimland and from Asian countries when Kimi leaves
Kimi has huge fanbase in asia especially, so ye I would expect some drop, but F1 has always gone forward and gained new fans for new drivers....One thing is for sure, once Kimi is gone, there wont be another one like him....
As Finn its hard for me to even rally behind Bottas when Kimi is gone.....its funny to think that way, but for me 3 Finnish drivers that Ive really liked over the years have been both Mikas (Häkkinen and Salo) and Kimi ofc. I never felt too bad for Kovalainen for example, when his career in F1 fell short or never felt as happy and excited about Bottas when he was won.
*Suicide rate rises to 100%*
9:27 "How's your motivation?"
"As bad as always"
Kimi Raikkonen, you are A LEGEND!!
Kimi is the best character Formula 1 has ever seen... He's always going to be the best driver in my eyes. I'll be heartbroken when he leaves. I want Kimi to win another championship before he leaves, it probably won't happen, but it would be awesome if it did.
Imagine if he gets sauber competitive and does it there...dont lose hope bwoah!
@@shayzadg Bwoah, I never lose hope
I'm just happy Kimi got to win a race again with Ferrari, the move to Sauber is hard to take as I think if he retired now he would be finishing on a massive high with that win in Austin.
@@Tokyo-Drift don't forget his days with lotus , hope he can get some podiums
welp, it's happening
Kimi looks relaxed and more open with casual interviews rather than official press conferences.
Who doesn't?)
He chose to do this. He has to, or is forced to do press conferences.
@@FunkyMonkey-ip4xy he's forced and because the fia is trash will get fined if he or other drivers avoid them
A Kimi video is worth it 👌
kimi's iconic sentence: I guess we'll see how it goes.
Lee Jack and then after seeing how it went: “Thats how it goes sometimes.”
Kimi will leave a massive hole in F1 when he goes. He is one of the 'old guard' and a unique personality. I know he has two or more years still to go, but sometimes it's best to recognise the end is near and enjoy the twilight live rather than look back afterwards. I hope Sauber give him a car that allows him to fight near the front next year.
Bwoah deep
Yup 2 years from now
And yup...
"mwoah i don't care about contracts"
true b0ss
Oh for sure he cares about a number of dollars mentioned in it
Cat Philomel everyone does
chaleur - That’s why he pays Steve Robinson a lot of money to sort that out for him- he cares a lot Kimi never gets shit deals.
ey b0ss
Think this is one of the best Kimi interviews I've ever seen. He seems so comfortable and talkative and is easily joking around so great interviewing and good original questions!
For sure. He's so chill after getting some success lately (pole in Monza, win in USA)
Is it just me or does it seem like Kimi is more lively and friendlier since he announced he is going to Sauber
Less pressure of course
Exactly what I thought.
Well Kimi is definitely feeling excited about the change of scenery/team.....
Its entirely new kind of challenge for him, he hasnt been in midfield team other than his 2 years at Lotus and ofc his debut season at Sauber, so he should get lot more actual racing against other drivers next season than just having rather dull races at the front.
He's kind of really opened up all season. He's been more chatty than ever. There was one moment where it looked like Will was thinking "Ok that's enough Kimi, shut up so we can get to the next question". We've never seen that before. :P
I agree he is happy
I don't know why, but I absolutely love this guy!!..
Kimi is beautifully anarchist and very dedicated to be primarily truthful and honest to himself. All the rest is non important to him, except his family I believe.
This kind of character is so rare in public scenes so that's why we like Kimi so much.
"Kimi, how's your motivation?"
- "As bad as always."
Cracked me up :D Can't even tell if he's joking or serious :D
He's serious. Kimi only raced after his prime for fun and the earnings. You can tell that he didn't give any real effort after he won the championship and after Lotus.
Racing is his hobby and F1 is his like his backyard.
@@kyaryi1 He said this is his hobby, which means he doesn't do it for the money but because he loves racing.
Kimi's Beyond The Grid episode coming soon?
You know, I think he might actually be open to it, he’s actually really quite talkative these days.
That's one short podcast
"Kimi why did you go to Sauber
"Because I wanted to"
"Ooooooooooook"
The answers will be
Yes
OK
No
Bwoah
Thank you
I don't care
@@dankmemesmeltexistentialdr2769 Because people have learned how to approach him, if you just put a camera to him and go, you get nowhere but just be casual, joke around and you will be alright. Which, to be fair, applies to pretty much all Finns.
Mikko Tikkanen You’re right actually, Finns are cool as fuck, I’ve been a couple time to Finland now and everytime I go there, everyone is really nice without being too friendly, just honest and down to earth, exactly the way people should be :)
Bwoah....
Forza Bwoahrrari
DDT, bwoahrza
People love him because he is authentic, for good or bad. Awesome driver and character
KIMI THE BEST! I' m italian and I ever loved this DRIVER! I will support Sauber Alfa Romeo in the next two years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
grande, Kimi è il genio che pochi comprendono.
OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kimi is always brings a smile to my face haha
I watched it live but I will watch it again because Kimi
Year 2074: Kimi still needs to prove that he has motivation.
That was actually the most interesting and easygoing interview I've ever seen Kimi do! I've always liked Finns' dry sense of humor in general, and particularly Mika Hakkinen's, and it's great to see that same side of Kimi.
just 2 more races in Ferrari....shame but excited at the same time to see what Kimi can do in midfield next season and beyond in 2020.
Balnazzardi i think he will have more fun in midfield races. It isn't a shame he isn't able to compete with Seb and Lewis anymore for his age. So why drive boring races at the front and get podiums (and more interviews xD) if he is able to have exciting battles and interesting races in the midfield.
Balnazzardi it will also be good to see 2 fresh faces at the 3 top teams (GAS & LEC) and to see what their potential is.
Filipe Leite I think Leclerc can be at the same level as Vettel, for Gasly I think Verstappen will dominate (but he probably is 2nd driver pre-season). But in an ideal world for me, both Gasly and Leclerc will bring good results.
Filipe Leite I think they’ll do good, hopefully they’ll be very competitive. Also I don’t think inexperience will be a big problem. Like what’s the last time a driver flopped at a top team? I really can’t remember.
@Alex Parent
Well Mclaren had high hopes for Perez and Magnussen in 2013 and 2014, both were given the boot after 1 year....obviously you can argue that Mclaren might not have been exactly top team anymore during those years but anyhow...
Also I think Kovalainen was flop when he went against Hamilton in Mclaren in 2008 and 2009....definitely you could say that his poor performance might have very well costed Mclaren WCC in 2008 that they might have won with better driver.
Anyhow we have to see exactly how good Leclerc can really be.....too early to judge one way or another. Im however expecting him to be very close to Vettel right from the start. I dont think Ferrari would have got him for 2019 already if they thought he was not good/ready enough.
When he said "sometimes i speak in my home language" my mind immediately went to that "VITTU!!"
"vittu mitä säätöö" :D
This guy is so down to earth.
"Do you speak Italian?
"No I don't, maybe thats why I'm going"
How can you not love this guy? One of the true characters of F1.
11:23 Kimi giving Will the mic xDDDDDD
Will:- You don't Read The Contract?
Kimi:- I don't care😊😊
What a legend!!I lost it wen i heard that
"Contract? I don't care." Kimi is awesome.
Play the windows opening tone at 00:06.
You will not regret it.
I love the first 6 seconds of this, all through the introduction, it's basically like Kimi is in standby mode. Doesn't blink, completely motionless, staring at nothing, Clearly the on button is saying "Kimi". He's basically F1's Alexa.
It's great that Kimi is set to stay in F1 next year but it's right he takes a step down to Sauber where there is a bit less politics and pressure and that Charles is given a chance in the big team. Just think how excited Giovinazzi must be to have an ex-WDC as a team mate in his first full season of F1- he must feel like Christmas has come early. Kimi v Antonio next year will be something to look out for next year
it will be like alonso-vandoorne. same situation.
@@angeltabris_ No it won't . Giovinazzi will push Kimi hard.
@@TheSt1092 of course that would be ideally but we really can't know until its in front of us.
Antonio will learn so much
the first 10 seconds, looks like Kimi is not the ice man, is his own interpretation of his wax sculpture
Congrats for such a good interview! Kimi is a special guy, and a pleasure to see how honest and direct he is.
As always, Will Buxton is a joy to hear.
Kimi.exe stopped working for the first seven seconds.
Siddharth A sitting there like a robot 😀

That's where it was working but then at 0:07 it broke
Probably the most relaxed Kimi interview... Ever! Well done.
This was a lovely interview with Kimi! Seems he also enjoyed it for the most part which is important when you have to have so many interviews.
It's so good to see Kimi smile, yet at the same time, it's so sad to see him leave Ferrari. Although I'm a huge Vettel fan, I would love to see Kimi win at least one of the last two races. What a team Ferrari is. It is love.
Do one with Alonso before he departs forever!
He would bore the shit out of many of us with his political thoughts and agendas.
@@TheGreatVivek7 I agree i think he kinda stopped caring and the teams notice that and dont want him. Its kinda his fault.
Absolutly NOT!
When he has done his last race in F1, it stops there.
I have had it with all of his whining, and political crap.
as long as we dont have to hear "I just did my best season ever, Im true Samurai" crap....
i guess you're happy now cuz he's coming back lol
Great interview! Never heard him speak so much in such a relaxed way before. It’s good to see him get away from them!
The content that this channel is churning out is off the charts. I love it. Keep up the great videos.
