    making my cat watch this with me so he knows what to do

      🤣 Ha haaaaaaaaaa! Yes, that’s critical. Without the help of the cat, it’s very difficult to get the job done correctly!

    I am certain I would give a like for the video at the end, but did at the beginning after seeing the cat help on cutting the mirror

      Thanks! Yeah, I try to keep it short and to the point. I don’t like watching videos with a bunch of fluff. I think Lucy, our cat, likes the limelight!

    U bet I'm gonna subscribe! Grt video.
    I needed one for cutting an arch into my old two part mirrors I inherited when we bought the house but realize maybe I have to cut in a half hex shape to get angular shape then maybe frame over it w moulding.
    Love this video. Very well done, simple, great to follow and understand. Tysm.

    Looks easy enough. I was planning on doing the same but my glass guy (shower door) offered to do it for $95. He even hung it on the wall for me.

    • @DIYBoomers
      @DIYBoomers  Год назад +2

      You really can’t go wrong for $95. The cutter and oil would be around $40 just to get started. 👍

    Thanks for this video. I’m trying to cut a mirror at the moment, and my ruler keeps slipping away from me. I noted you have a tee ruler, I can see that’s what I’ll need. And was that a length of Styrofoam you used for the longer edge?

    • @DIYBoomers
      @DIYBoomers  3 месяца назад

      You're welcome. No, it's not styrofoam, it's actually a piece of Metrie MDF painted trim that I had left over. I did a wall in shiplap in our bathroom remodel with Metrie brand shiplap that I bought at Lowes. I used double sided tape to hold the piece of trim in place. So any straight edge that you have will work that you can hold in place with double sided tape. You could probably use the tape on your ruler so that you wouldn't have to get a t-square. Below is a link to the double sided tape that I used. Good luck with your mirror!
