Hadn't seen one of these in a while, not sure I how I missed the last couple. I like this format, doing small projects and documenting them. Allows you to go into much more detail than a TV show that has 30 minutes or an hour to show the entire build.
AutoMeter Products, Inc. On a bad note i made the mistake of using a comp stage 3 and its slipping already.... 😣 looking at an exedy that will hold the power im 400whp, 400wtq..... any recommendations?
Never having done a clutch before I must say that this is a lot easier than I thought it'd be. so far. Watching this video and it's helping tons. Only thing is one of those 14mm bolts that were tucked up in the corner above the tcase is being a total @#%$% to get to. Trying to shove the tcase over enough where I have enough clearance and my god, no tool can fit in there. Barely even a wrench. Got mine hanging right now by a strap and for the life of me can't imagine what you guys did to bust that bolt out.
I own a gsr or evo 4 and the 30 min mark part of the video really explained what caused and how to fix my problem when i'm switching gears Apparently my car won't switch gears when the car is on but it does when its off. i always let go of the clutch so fast when i switch gear. Thanks for this video it really helped me a lot
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO MY DUDE!!!! you are the first ive seen that completes the clutch removal of my style of Evo!! Nobody has done this model before!!!! my new clutch in this car is going to be a exedy racing clutch now!! Keep up the good work! Ill be following for life!
Just changed the clutch in my evo. Ran into an issue, car will not start only clicks from the starter. I tried to spin the engine and the flywheel feels locked, would you think that would mean anything? I checked all the wiring/grounds everything is pluged in, battery is good and charged also.
Cool maybe I will see it mine is white, and great choice going to see devin and the crew at Boostin performance they are great and I love they still work on the Evos
Hey Larmando. While I suppose anything is possible with enough time and money, that would be a huge project. It would very likely be significantly less expensive to simply trade your car in on one with a manual. In fact, it may be less expensive to trade your car in on an Evo.
F... my life ! I have to do this eventually and im not really looking forward to it . Why couldn't mitsubishi just have steered away from transverse mounted motor and transmission on the last series- 🍰 yea no!!!!!!! Hours of fun😾
Question ? You put in the ams clutch master cylinder how many miles have you been running it and have you had any issues with it? Some of the forums say they have been having engagement issues?!

Its actually not that hard.
Competent worker should have it done in 5-6hrs.
They exaggerated alot in the video. 99% is just common mechanic work.
He makes it look easy.

Be silent in your success. Your success screams volumes. It doesn’t need your mouth to destroy its limelight. 🤙🏽
SO if I send my CARE TO YOU THEN YOU CAN SET MINE UP AND DO A INSTALL RIGHT ?

Which engine frame is used in this video to support the motor while you remove the trans?
hi there cool video how long does it take to do the clutch in the evo x.
Is that dark blue an oem color? It's pertty
Yup oem on the later year evo x’s
What are the wheel specs on that evo?
I can't believe that it is that hard to change out the clutch in the x the Evo 8/9 is no way this hard and complex
Ok thanks keep up the good work I now have a 10 and I live just south of Dekalb in waterman
Cool maybe I will see it mine is white, and great choice going to see devin and the crew at Boostin performance they are great and I love they still work on the Evos

Change the clutch or trade the car. I think trade the car.
What cordless impact is that u used to pop those axle nuts off so easily?
J T Snap On 1/2” ftw!
The Kobalt 24v that I have goes up to 650 lbs and popped off the axle lugs in three clicks.
Watched this too much i ended up buying another evo x. Cant find a cosmic blue but got another graphite grey
