I always were a little bit sceptic with the St.Anger album.But when i heard that song i completely changed my mind. I honestly think,that this is the most underrated Metallica song ever.
This album grows on you, i appreciate it a lot more now than before (except for invisible kid... That is TERRIBLE)

@@Ajeel well thank you because honestly I've been wanting people to play/listen to the song to see how good it is and I wanted to hear their opinion on it.
It never ceases to amaze me: the Godlike ability to play a song almost perfectly when you haven't heard or don't remember the song, just by following along with the tabs.
I must say the most entertaining part of these vids though is seeing the facial expressions. In this one, the facial expressions seem to say "I've got a sick feeling that I might actually like this song."
Sweet Amber is a banger track.

St. Anger is actually a great album. People just have a hard time accepting the drums, so some of them hate. Change my mind

I wouldn’t consider Lulu a Metallica album. Lou Reed album with Metallica’s help lol there’s some great riffs on Lulu but that’s about it
I try to like St. Anger, but it's a really lackluster album. The drums honestly sound like Lars was banging on some oscar the grouch type of garbage cans, and a lot of the riffs and lyrical flow I can't get into. The whole album feels low quality, both in the sense that it sounds compressed, and it's not their best. That being said the band was falling apart by this time, sadly the album reflects that.
This is definitely one of the better songs.
@CYKA BLYAT95 It's a mix. The lyrics on a bunch of the songs are like fall over laughing bad (Frantic! Tick Tock! KEEL KEEL KEEL KEEL! KEEL KEEL! Ya flush it out, ya flush it out!), but on some of the other songs they're just vintage Metallica. Unnamed Feeling and Purify and especially Sweet Amber.
I also like that even the literal name "Sweet Amber" is kind of a doppelganger of "Saint Anger". It's like the mirror version of the lead single, on the back half of the album. One is about being so into your own head that you lash out at everyone in rage, and the other is about your mind being completely owned by another person or a substance or some addiction, and you lose your entire emotional spectrum to it. That had to be intentional.
Sweet Anger would be a good title for a mesh of Sweet Amber and St. Anger
The DVD that was packaged with St. Anger that shows Metallica playing the album had better sound quality than the album. Mostly because that damn snare sound was gone

I honestly really like this song, this, Some Kind of Monster and Frantic are probably my favourites on the album (and probably the only "good" ones imo)
Riffs were good, it was the artificial garage sound, and having the vocals in front of the guitars that made St Anger rub me the wrong way.

Honestly, Sweet Amber has a killer main riff. I lowkey hate the rest of the song tho.
This song is so fucking good. I can't listen to the album version because the sound production is such lo-fi shit. But it's really one of the best Metallica songs ever, period. I listen to bands covering it with good sound production, all the time.

This is surprisingly good, but as with every other song on this album James' vocals and those awful snares bring it down considerably. This would have been a banger on any of their other albums.
All jokes aside this album is pretty garbage. And they’re my favorite band I love them more than myself.
