    Ghost is fantasy love story, the ending was so heartfelt & touching moment, I love ghost, I enjoy the performances by Swayze & Glodberg. Swayze suggested Whoopi in the first place, said he won't do Ghost unless they get her & because of him, Whoopi won an Oscar for best supporting actress. I highly recommend it for people to see & hope they enjoy it as much as I did.

    I thought the acting in this film was very good. Patrick Swayze delivers a good performance
    So does Demi Moore. Whoopi Goldberg won an academy award for her performance though I thought it was a little sappy in the beginning but got better as it went on. I lose sight of how old this film is now but if you see it you will love it. It's more than a worth while effort.

      Because it’s predictable and insults the audiences intelligence by trying to create a whodunnit, when we all know it’s Carl from the beginning, it has underdeveloped characters, swayzw and Goldberg had more chemistry than swayzw and Moore, (they’re not believable as a couple), ghost rules randomly change for the sake of the plot, milly really wasn’t in dangee. The bad guys just wanted the password to the account, they didn’t want to kill Molly, so Sam didn’t need to hang around to protect her

    Just saw this movie today on HBO. Not Max, the actual live tv channel. Yes kids there is such a thing as tv channels and loved it again just like I did the first time I watched it. I hate Whoopi’s political rants on the view but her role on Ghost she totally knocked it out of the park. Cemented her legacy as a great actress. One of the best movies ever made. Rip Patrick Swayze

      Yeah, "Ghost" is great. And it's really a shame what Whoopi has turned into. Same with Robert DeNiro, Rob Reiner, Cher, Bette Midler, Streisand, and countless others in Hollywood.

    Roger was not only wrong here, he was insulting both Gene and the audiences who like "that kind of movie". He seemed to have a really bad attitude whenever Gene disagreed with him. Really, when anyone disagreed with him, including Joyce Kulhawik when they disagreed about Gladiator.

    One of the few reviews Ebert got totally wrong.
    Ebert was waiting for a big emotional release? What movie was he watching? The ending was very emotional.

    • @mcdude9578
      @mcdude9578 3 года назад +1

      there is no release cuz demi moore doesn't rly say a whole lot. her character is underdeveloped and she's already crying most of the time. also under the "laws" of the movie it's like demi is accepting his death which is weird cuz she just saw him for the first time. it gave like some divine power btwn molly and sam which was a bit odd.

      Can't be wrong if they're honest about their opinions. Can only be different from you. There is no right or wrong when it comes to liking or disliking a movie. If you think there is, then something definitely is wrong with you.

    • @MediaBuster
      @MediaBuster Год назад

      @@zxbc1 Actually there is. And there is a simple explanation for it. You only like what you like based on your knowledge and experience with films in general. The more you learn about acting, writing, directing etc the more acute your eyes and ears will become. E.g. you may have hated of loved a movie when you were young and now changed your mind because you are NOW seeing things your didn't know or notice the first time. Believe it or not there is a science to movies that requires certain elements to make it good.

      What does that mean? They're not filmmakers, they're film critics, they are assessing it as audience members not as peers to the director. And they recommend the movie based on how much they like it as human beings. And they provide immense value to society because they save you hours and hours of your life from going to bad movies. How is that not valuable?

      The whole movie is a real Hollywood cornball. Patrick Swayze is charismatic but let's not pretend he's in the same league as Demi Moore. But the script is so pedestrian and formulaic it's honestly shocking how the marketing campaign ended up getting this film an Oscar nomination. Siskel likes them cornball movies made for white middle class folks, Ebert isn't the least bit harsh here.
