    Thanks Sarah, really great review. Haven't tried any of the Paula's Choice products to date but only very early in my skincare journey, only started 6 months ago (I'm 49 so I'm extremely late). Would definitely give this a go. So far have tried the Timeless (using now), which I love, The Ordinary's 30% and about to try The Ordinary's 23%. All the very best from Australia x

    Sarah, thank you so much for this channel and always taking the time to take a deep dive into skin care brands especially when it comes to the ingredients. So, my personal experience with this vitamin c booster is that I've been using this product for a month now. I'm new to vitamin c, and I typically do not have any skin allergens. This vitamin c comes off pretty potent for my skin. I've tried using this product in several different ways. I've tried applying this directly to my skin as if it was a serum and boy was that not a good idea. My skin felt dry, sensitive and tight for the next 2 days. Next I've tried using it twice a day mixed with a serum and I've experienced the same results. The only way I can use this product is once per day, 2 maybe 3 drops in a serum or moisturizer (preferably at night). What I will say is that it does a good job at what it claims to do. I truly highly encourage people to read the instructions on the Paulas choice website as well as reading questions and answers on their website. I do love the ingredients in this formula and the performance but unfortunately my skin has limitations when it comes to vitamin c. Not sure if I have to build a tolerance because vitamin c is new for me, or if its the potency of the product itself. I really hope my skin at some point adapt because I actually like the results it brings, just not the irritation when used frequently. Thank you for the review Sarah.

    I’m loving the Thrive mascara and I got a compliment the other day on the green shadow look I did recently using the Huda mint palette - so thank you for those recommendations 😃. Right now, I am using the Lancome hydrating honey toner, Biossance vit c and rose oil, and topping it with their omega rich cream everyday - I like the combination for hydration and moisture. At night I add the DE retinol and do a babyfacial 1-2x a week. However, will likely lay off the oil when summer hits. I gotta get stocked up on sunscreen 😆. I did pick up some other things during the Sephora sale, so will try them out soon. I hope all is well in MN ✨

      I've had this Vitamin c serum in my stash for several months and just wasn't very excited to try it. I think I got it as a GWP in February. Usually I'm so excited to try PC products but this one was a letdown. Nothing wrong with it but just too pricey for what you get. Although it's more affordable than Skinceuticals. So happy to see your face again, I hope you keep feeling better each day. 🙏🙏😘😘

I was wondering if the 20% vitamin C being so harsh (first time user) would be a good pair while I am using Retin A? I use to use this product, but unfortunately it didn't work well under makeup because I have combo oily skin. It has an oil like texture, I had the same problem with the Drunk Elephant vitamin c. What works best for me, but I hate the price is Peter Thomas Roth Power CSerum. It also is my moisturizer. In the morning, I use PTR product, eye cream and sunscreen and done!

      The Farmacy is the best BHA toner I have ever used in my life. Gentle, absorbs effortless into skin, smells so naturally fresh, works well even alongside all the other actives I use in serums. Really didnt expect to like anything from this brand but this BHA Toner and their SPF have become my holy grails. No other similar products compare remotely for me especially all other bha liquids that leave my skin greasy/tacky or broken out (Paulas Choice & Naturium even as perfect as formulas seem on paper) when not sensitive remotely.

    I haven’t tried this one but I most definitely agree with you that Vitamin C & Retinol are a MUST have in any skincare routine! These two ingredients I cannot live without! My two fave Vitamin C serums that I rotate between are the Timless 20% + Ferulic acid & Vitamin E & the Biobare 20% + Ferulic acid & vitamin e. You have to try the Biobare.❤️

    • @diananemoy7409
      @diananemoy7409 3 года назад +1

      I agree love Biobare, the C3 specifically. Dont get how more people havent stumbled on this amazing underated brand. Flawless packaging, actual effective ph, doesnt oxidize within minutes like $150 overhyped medical brand serums have the nerve to charge. Smells great, non sticky, and very fair price also. I had tried dozens of other Vit C Serums that just never sad well remotely with my oily/blemish prone skin prior. Tatcha was my staple prior to this!

      @@diananemoy7409 yes absolutely! Finally someone who knows what I mean when I talk about Biobare Vitamin C serum! It’s a beautiful serum that you don’t have to break the bank with and is 100% effective. 🥰

      @@jenlauren143 Haha yes I was laughing when randomly seeing your comment thinking AHA someone else on planet earth finally mentioned this brand which was such an accidental find for me in the last few months when I was googling vitamin c serums for the few on earth I havent tried yet (Tatchas has been my staple for last 2 years as adore the water light/yet essence like glide & gorgeous packaging, but not the price point and only 15% c derivative). They are such a low key company, great site, and formulations that just stood out to me as impressive so even though next to no reviews took a shot and thrilled. I had to return a moisturizer which was too heavy and their customer service was literally flawless which is rare these days. I honestly secretly never want them to get too big and sellout in cheaper formulation as some of the best companies do as just so impressed. Very much recommend the Guava C3 Serum I got instead of their original as same 20% among so many added antioxidants and peptides which really drew me in. Stable formula and smells so fresh and natural. For a huge skincare lover like myself just a pleasure to use in my daily ritual. The typical c/e/furulic etc combo so many others do also just always ends up being 2 sticky for me so glad I tried something new that worked. Will be my staple for a long time if they keep the formula the same as have found nothing I've 100% liked on all aspects whether cheaper or 5x the cost Vit C Serums. If only they had a lightweight retinol serum as well I'd be in heaven. Adore my current staples of Oz Naturals and Cos de Baha 2.5 so just being greedy at this point. Cheers! 😅🤗💕

      @jenlauren143 3 года назад +1

      @@diananemoy7409 me too!! They do sometimes sell out but they make their batches i. Smaller amounts and they do come back in stock pretty quickly and I have had such amazing results with Biobare. I didn’t really get on very well with the Tatcha one only because I need a vitamin C serum without AHA’s or Bha’s because I use the vitamin C serum in the day & the evening and during the day it doesn’t work well on my skin to use any acids but I’m glad you have found serums that have worked well for you. I have two that I use right now and it’s the Biobare & the Timeless one and they are equally amazing on my skin 🥰

    • @diananemoy7409
      @diananemoy7409 3 года назад

      @@jenlauren143 Completely understand. Funny how Tatcha is so different as for me it's so gentle/non stickt water essence texture like it has no AHAs etc remotely I think because it has fruit acids. It's nothing compared to when I have used AHA serums of any kind which are great for blemish prone dry skin but for my blemish/oily prone always leave my face sticky and overly hydrated/greasy every time even aha toners. Why I stick with Vit C during day and alternating BHA/Retinol at night as my perfect balance for sure with serums. I wanted to love the Timeless in my graveyard of Vitamin C trials especially with their new airless container pump among high concentration but sadly the example of water texture literally which is my ideal for my skin type of not feeling like I have too many layers but this bare formula seems to have a ph that's somehow too acidic for my non sensitive or newbie skin and literally burns and dries out even my skin type the second I manage to pat in on my face before it drips into the wind lol. Ended up giving it to my mom who has the effortless can use anything skin of the family. No such luck on my end all my life. Se la vie! 😅

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 года назад +4

      The Ordinary is in the process of changing the labeling to their vitamin c, which make me a bit nervous about recommending it at this moment. If you have dry acne prone skin the Timeless Vitamin C Serum is one I highly recommend checking out. Very well packaged, very affordable, fragrance free, and nice texture. The Wishtrend Advanced Vitamin C is also a wonderful option that is affordable and fragrance free. If you are not new to vitamin c the Dr Brenner Vitamin C Serum is a great product, but it is just a bit stronger than most other vitamin c serums- it is almost a 100% dupe to skinceuticals, but just a bit more vitamin c in the serum. Have you tried any of those?
