You're right. The vitamin C face serum and sun screen from litteleextra rice berry have really benefited my skin. In the past fifty days, they're the only things that have helped me. I've already finished 1 bottle of each of them. With my sensitive, dry skin and my tendency to not do much for it, these have been a lifesaver. They feel lightweight and absorb into my skin easily. My complexion looks brighter, even toned, and younger. Even marks from acne and dark spots are beginning to fade. I've noticed my skin is smoother and more hydrated Now I'm looking forward to get a toner that works well for my skin too.
the cera ve vitamin c serum literally is the only serum that feels cooling and had never stung or irritated me, and I have veryyyyy sensitive skin. its my favorite
My sentiments exactly. It’s around $32 in Canada and I love it. I used Timeless %20 but it was too drying for me , however Cerave C serum is perfect 👍🏻
I love dear klairs vitamin drop. Its the vitamin c i hve been using lately and found it makes my skin glowy and i use with a propolis serum as a vitamin e alternative. I think this has been my go to morning routine while i do my retinols or (faded or azelaic) night routines
I love vitamin C and have been trying various ones. I didn't like any of the TO or inkey list ones, but I Loved the Face Theory C20 and C30, Glow Recipe Guava vitamin C serum and the Melano CC. My mum liked the Purito vitamin C, and my friend likes the Dear Klairs. I really want to try the Paula's choice one and also the Sunday Riley one but both are so expensive and pure vitamin C goes off so quickly. I heard Geek and Gorgeous do a good dupe for the Skinceuticals one
Thank you so much for your information and help! Since discovering your channel, I’ve been able to be more cost efficient by changing from skin ceuticals to a cerave system I’m extremely happy with. I find my skin tolerates vitamin C more than retinol. You’re the best.
I have heard it's supposed to be fabulous. I have some of the Timeless serum at the moment, but I'll try the G&G one after I've finished with this one.
So I am making a skin care routine from scratch and was thinking of trying vitamin c for my red post acne scars. I live in a foreign country so not all of these are accessible to me (some can't be shipped and some are TOO expensive) I am going back and forward between the klairs and the ordinary ascorbic acid 8 + alpha arbutin 2. Both are at similar price but klairs has great reviews wherever I look and is very tempting with the finish and fragrance and I don't see many people using the ordinary one. But your skepticism got me a bit paranoid
I can relate to this, I'm in the exact same situation which is what brought me to this video. I'm confused between Klairs and The ordinary Ascorbyl glucoside solution 12. Let me know which one you end up choosing!!
Amazing video, thank you for the insight! I've been wanting to add Vitamin C to my routine for a while now but I was wondering if the following routine was safe to do: AM: Clean face with water, Toner, Vitamin C Serum (switch with Niacinamide every other day), Moisturiser, SPF. PM: Cleanser, Toner, AHA/BHA (switch with Retinol every other day), AHA Peeling once a week, Moisturiser. Hopefully someone will be able to help, I'm a bit confused and don't want to mix ingredients that should not be mixed! Thank you 😊
You can actually use your vit c and niacinamide on the same days - if you have super sensitive skin, just use lower doses. You can also use your niacinamide along with your retinol; it can help calm any negative side effects your skin may have with the retinol
if you are using your AHA/BHA every other day i would say be carful with doing an AHA peel once a week you may over exfoliate. Since you already are doing the aha/bha every other night though i would say skip the peel!
need clarification - Mad hippie - you mentioned that it contains some essential oil and "could cause some photosensitivity". May i know why photosensitivity because of essential oil? Thanks.
Cathy I’m keen to know if you (or anyone else here) has tried the Acure Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Serum? And if so, how did you find it? I’ve seen a few people recommend it as a good budget option. Thanks 🙏🏼
Is it true that Zinc and Vitamin C can't be used together? I usually use Vitamin C masks at night. So, Can I use Niacinamide, Zinc, or Hyaluronic acid in the morning and Vitamin C in the evening? I mean on the same day. You are doing a very good job for those of us who are new to this whole thing. Thanks a lot.
Hey Michele, great question! The main reason why I left it out is purely logistical! It’s only available in the US so I wasn’t able to buy it again (I now live in Canada!) I still think it’s a great product at its price point but it doesn’t beat out the Skinceuticals and now the Paula’s Choice when it comes to L-AA serums and the results I’ve personally seen. Hope that helps!
I was wondering what her take on that was? I think she mentioned it, but didn't discuss it in detail. I use it, but I've never tried the Skinceuticals one.
Thank you so much for your videos. I am really learning a lot! I was wondering if it's safe to use Azelaic acid in combination with a sodium ascorbyl phosphate Vit C serum? Also wondering your thoughts on Naturium's Vitamin C Complex Serum?
I’m a dude, I just need something that can brighten and even out my skintone so my skin can start glowing a bit and doesn’t look so dull all the time. Then I also need something to exfoliate my skin with once in a while to get rid of all of my blackheads/pimples for a smoother face. But I’m not in the mood to use a dosen skinproducts either, can anyone help a brotha out rq?😮💨
Hi! I used to use the vitamin C creme from Banish but they went and changed the formula and I am so disappointed! It has helped my skin so much! And from February or so of this year up to current day, I've seen nothing but negative reviews in regards to the formula change. "So it blends easier under makeup" they say, "Good for all skin types" they say--okay, if that's the case why the hell is everyone complaining about the new formula breaking them out after a couple uses? Seriously irritates me, sorry. I have such an issue finding and trying new products because idk how my skin will react and even though I patch test, I feel like my skin is playing tricks on me sometimes. I wouldn't consider using Banish vitamin C serum, at least I was advised not to as it is an oil and my skin is very sensitive and acne prone. 🤷♀️
