nøsťaļgīa you’re right. this is a common problem with exotic keepers. for some reason they seem especially prone to buying more and more exotic pets that require very specific care and get overwhelmed but don’t know when to stop buying. i don’t doubt he is knowledgeable and cares about animals deep down, but i think his animal buying addiction got out of hand and overrode that. i hope he’s improving so the animals don’t suffer

He made a horrible mistake. He kept over 100 animals by himself without it being his job. I don't think he's coming back for a long time if ever.

It takes a lot of nerve to do presentations in front of people. I remember choking on my own spit while in high school and having to do an oral report. This is amazing and entertaining. I hope your presentation keeps ppl from killing them on sight!

Downsize your collection, provide better care to the remaining animals, and continue to provide educational content to the public. People will forgive you if you make a genuine effort to change.

Really sad that this channel isn't active anymore. I just be recalled your amazing rescue Saturn and came here hoping for an update.
This was cool, I really like the way you handle these programs. I know a lot of people in your shoes would be throwing around scientific names and trivia that isn't actually effective at educating anyone, especially people who don't know anything about snakes to begin with.

question how is Saturn I love to see recovering snakes even though its sad how they got to that point it warms my heart that they made that strong recovery
edit: if you see a snake and you run the easiest way out the snake will be frightened and run the easiest way out so if you want to escape a snake and make yourself fell less frightened (if you have paranoia or anxiety) take the hardest way out but still watch your feet some snakes might run to a bush or a hole depending on which snake.

Thank you for the video. I live in NE Texas and this was very informative, just as your other videos are also informative. My local friends tell me we have copperheads. I must admit to becoming less irrational about snakes after viewing several of your videos.
Great lecture. The only thing I would suggest is that when someone asks a question, to repeat the question for the benefit of others who did not hear as well as for those who are watching the video.
Otherwise, you did a great job! I hope others were also found the information reassuring.

I always check the tails for genders, longer skinny tails are usually males, thicker shorter tails are usually female.
Thats not always true. And very missleading advice.
That's why I used the word "usually" not "always" it does depend on the snake, its easiest to tell with hog nose snakes. It's not misleading because in many breeds it is accurate.

Tho I do love watching the norm people feeding there 20 foot killer pythons and venomous 14ft king cobra if you need to learn stuff I think your definitely the man to watch. Keep up the good work. I'm amazed that you are not using F10 or any other form of sanitation to wash your hands between handling the different snakes. Hygiene should be promoted as such talks. Safer for the snake and safer for you. Irrespective of "how clean" the snakes are kept, using F10 or wipes between handling different species should be part of your normal husbandry practices. Other than that, good talk
