I don't think that the complex interconnection of financial interests at such large scale is sustainable by having a single guy sitting on top of the pyramid. Operations at this scale are impossible to be controlled by a single individual. In fact, at this point in time and with all the hindsight we have achieved, we should not see organized crime anymore with the same mentality as we used to see old school-criminal enterprises that were typically organized under a vertical mafia style hierarchy, where there's a single old guy sitting on top of the food chain, the risk it too big for decision-making to not be spread around horizontally amidst parallel regional interests. Such a complex enterprise cannot be undertaken at this large-scale unless behind it are entities such as govenments and international banks controlling the flow of money and decision making. That chinese guy is just the face of the operation and he will the be the scapegoat in case things go wrong while the continuation of the enterprise will be maintained without having it collapse when he goes down. That guy might seem to us as someone wielding infinite power but I think he is in the most unfortunate position that one might ever be in such organization. The real power, paradoxically lies in legal entities.
That place used to be controlled by a Burmese armed group. In 2011, they robbed a Chinese cargo ship and killed over a dozen crew members. Then their leader was arrested in Laos. Afterwards, Zhao Wei appeared and took over that area
Those victim are being imprisioned by these organization, they put their worker in the special building guarded by their own security and being monitored for 24/7. That's why these organization could operate for decades
Inability of Westerners to understand cultures is what makes them assume that someone has power. Africans and Asians have something in common - giving respect even to the point of servitude to someone who has achieved success or is older than them. Alice Guo is in the Golden Triangle
The drug trade in South East Asia is controlled by a 🇨🇳CCP-appointed crime boss, Zhao Wei, operated in the China's BRI Special Economic Zone in Laos.
I think it's the CIA who uses the proceeds to fund militias and factions against the CCP. the CCP hates casino money laundering, they arrested Macau crime bosses.
Whatever current situation may be, but it was formed with the help of CIA as Americans have history of helping cartels operate their business with no disturbance.

Much like Las Vegas
But he did what they wanted, he has full control. FULL CONTROL

Maybe partly why Thailand is in the process of legalizing Casinos
GT was worse in the past, with warlords building up militias using drug as funding source. Scam centers is just slightly better and until the 3 nations nearby are stable and developed, this place would remain a criminal hub of some sort.
Thank you for exposing this 🙏🙂❤️
How about the corruption of Americans involved in the drug trade in Mexico? I think there's only one country, the USA that can do something about it.
How about you actually talk about what's on the video instead of trying to change the topic? You're just trying to move the goalpost

Who's that???

This video doesn't serve the truth but the American interests in the region.
If you studied and learnt about the Golden Triangle, you know that it is not a one-man band.
It’s controlled, also, by the military in Myanmar and Thailand.
However, this fact is omitted in this video. Why? 🤔
Myanmar doesn't control its northern territory. it's an active civil war, read a book.
Isn’t it obvious by its constant emphasis on Chinese? When the whole incident didn’t happen in China nor directed by anyone physically in China. The story did not even have a Chinese victim, but Chinese government gets blamed for the crime. US media just hates China.
Myanmar junta is definitely partially in on it (at least the video mentioned MNDAA, a Burmese militia in the north funded by China)
@@ThomasChestersonuwsa, mndaa, NDAA, aa, tnla are closely related to China. Only a handful other groups are true democracy fighters
That’s how USA hegemony works.
it's kind of bizarre how the space vacated by quality vice programming has, to a degree, been replaced by bloomberg of all organizations.
The CIA doesn't like competition.
Yes, why?
With all this information why aren't they arrested especially in a foreign country ???
They are on Laos' lands, amd Laos is controlled by China.
@@МісоLaos isn’t controlled by China. They have close ties but they aren’t directly linked. This video is EXTREMELY misleading and aims to continuously promote hostile attitudes to the Chinese government. Hilarious considering the CIA and the US have done far worse.
Well it’s not like the American government isn’t known of doing undercover work. Sending in a small handful men to take the target out or kidnap them and bring them somewhere they can in-force their law.. the reason they haven’t done anything is, either they been doing very well fattening their pockets with on point bribes. Or he just not as important to them but the only reason they’re speaking on him is for the public..
Any cartels will benefit from the insatiable addiction of the anglo americans. Whether it's drug tourism or in the U.S. anglo americans can't live without illicit drugs.
Yes, the rest of the globe knows nothing of drug abuse or addiction 🙄.

Great video. Please do one on Cambodia’s political corruption and the CLV DTA agreement.
Yes, he's actually got the worst job in the organization.
Laos, thailand, Myanmar.
But the crime boss is some chinese guy
That place used to be controlled by a Burmese armed group. In 2011, they robbed a Chinese cargo ship and killed over a dozen crew members. Then their leader was arrested in Laos. Afterwards, Zhao Wei appeared and took over that area

This sounds a LOT like the POGO operations in the Philippines.
Inability of Westerners to understand cultures is what makes them assume that someone has power. Africans and Asians have something in common - giving respect even to the point of servitude to someone who has achieved success or is older than them.
You may think the person has power, but he really doesn't. He is just living off of the power wilfully extended to him by people cause of his success.
