Dearest Mindy, I recorded this for my Mother's memorial. My husband played the acoustic guitar and I sang it as best I could. There was no way I could sing it live. So a friend helped us record it at his studio for the memorial. I am so grateful for this song. Thank you so much for writing this and sharing it with us all! We gave you the credit for writing it, of course, and everyone really appreciated it so much! 🙏💔🙏

I remember the first time I heard this song. I was at one of your concerts in Oregon, first row in a smaller venue 12+ years ago. I was so touched by the emotion that I sat there and cried as you sang to us. My dad passed away last month and as I moved from my living experiences into memories, this was the first song that came to mind. I rediscovered my autographed CD and came full circle. Thank you for being part of my healing process.

The time at 2:50 when she changes the way she says “oh, please don’t go!” You can really feel the deep emotions and almost desperation in her voice of really wanting that one more moment with her mother. It’s bittersweet and beautiful and sad and all of the emotions that are available to us in this world. Thanks Mindy for this performance.

Just found this song and it is so beautiful. Since 2014 I have lost my brother, my sisterin law, my best friend I ever had and both my sisters. To me this song makes me wish I had just one moment more with each of them. It makes me cry. I miss them all so very much. Thank you Mindy for such a beautiful song and making me feel something so real.
I played this song to make my kids fall asleep. If I played it in the car they would fall asleep in their car seats. I played this while my mom was dying in the hospital. I play it now when I need to fall asleep. It’s unreal how a song can make you transport back to certain moments in time. ❤️
Your mother may have shed her earthly presence but as long as you remember her, say her name, celebrate her memory, she lives on. She will always be with you, like mine is now that she no longer walks this earth. Those we love never really leave us.

I’ve been listening to this one album of hers since before I was conscious lol. It seems weird that I’m among the few lucky people to know of this hidden gem. My mom’s got the best taste in music though so lucky me.

Tomorrow, July 19, marks 43 years since I lost my first wife Lana to leukemia. I sat by her in the hospital saying over and over that I loved her until she tenderly opened her eyes and looked at me, put her hand on my cheek, lowered her hand, and closed her eyes. I still feel that touch. Thank you Mindy for this deeply moving song. I am now married 25 years to my new bride, Laurie. I doubt that I could have survived without Lana and Laurie.

Played this song at my mom's funeral...there wasn't a dry eye in the room. It still makes me cry when I hear it.
This song got me through the death of my father. A friend had shared this with me the day before the funeral and I think it was the best thing to have. It had become a mantra and this past August my husband passed from a heart attack at 35. Again this song came up again and saved me from drowning in the loss.
So Ms. Smith thanks for sharing this with us and allowing us to understand your heartbreak 💔God bless you and your mom in heaven.

This is the first time that I have heard this, and it breaks my heart. I lost my beautiful sister to Cancer last August and it has broken my Mum and Dad. I watch them suffering every day. It hurts so very much, then three months later I lost my beautiful Charlie boycat. Why is life so unfair. 💞

I too know well the pain of loss ... my Mom passing away 40 years ago ... and my wife 2 years ago. Knowing they are both with God now ... whole and happier than we have ever known here on earth ... and that they, as your Mom and all you love who have gone before you, are are awaiting our arrival ... You know for me 2020 is not beautiful because the coronavirus is spreading everywhere from all over the world and people are dying because of that, and it's turning into a nightmare.

Coming home to you on my days off and Waking up next to you those are my favorite memories and I would love nothing more than to relieve that for the rest of my life.
