Dude the kebabs u had were invented in Lucknow first the places I had kebabs are not famous for kakori it’s in or tikkas .. and u never had best biryanis also .. I have had food at arslan it’s good but no where close to lucknow.. I wish I could take u around Lucknow to eat ..

Dude, the Kathi Roll you tried in this video looks so amazing, especially the eggy paratha. I remember the way you raved about the kebabs in Lucknow during your last trip, so if these were even better than the ones there, they must have been on a whole other level! The fish looked amazing as well and I'm going to have to try biryani someday. It looks fantastic! Oh, and the ghat you visited looks really cool. As always, I love that you include attractions in your vlogs along with the food. Takes you to another level, my man! Great video, as usual!

It doesn't look like the Zeeshan near quest mall. Which zeeshan is this? As far as i know kathi roll was the invention by Nizam restaurant in new market.
Princep Ghat Jetty was used for Embarking and disembarking by the Royal Britishers. That Palladian porch was made in memory of James Princep. Kathi kebab Roll was made so that a quick snack could be had on the go, the kebabs were on bamboo sticks(Kathi in bengali) so that's how it got it's name. Roshogolla is made of milk reduction, a spongy cheese ball in sugar syrup.The curd is made of heavy fat milk so that's why it has hardened.
Kolkata biryani is the actual authentic mughlai biryani, potato was added in late 18th century in the kitchen of Awadi Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, as potato from the Portuguese traders was a delicacy back then, but all said and done, the old art of Biryani has survived and thrived in kolkata after the fall of mughlai and awadhi rule in India. We also have a Murshidabadi nawabi cuisine which has not thrived.

Karl do come down to the state of Meghalaya and check out Shillong, Sohra/Cherrapunjee, Mawlynnong, Dawki, Shnongpdeng, Mawryngkhang rock, Nongkhnum river island, Krangshuri falls, Mawphanlur, Mawlyngbna, Kongthong, Krem Puri cave, Nohkalikai falls, Weisawdong falls, Umden, Laitlum etc
You need to visit Lucknow again and go to lesser known outlets to experience the diversity and authenticity of Awadhi/Mughlai cuisine. This kabab that you had is known as Kakori kabab and originated there. Bengali and Lucknowi styles of Biryani preparations are quite similar barring the potato.

BBD Bag stands for Binoy , Badal and Dinesh , 3 bengali revolutionery who entered Writers building and fought with British and gave away there lives during Indian freedom Struggle. It is now essentially a Lake with Govt. Offices all round.

I thought kathi rolls originated at nizam's and not zeeshan. the information can be misleading to a lot of people so best go on food tours with people who are well accustomed to the history of food in a particular city.
