It’s amazing and incredibly sad how 2 people like let’s say Kim and Kylie can have such a huge influence on such a large majority. 😓
I cannot wait for the day (I’ll probably be long gone unfortunately) when we don’t live like we’ve been living. I’m talking about our society as a whole.
Where a small group of people will not have the power to influence/control people like it has been for far too long.
Where people don’t care about all that unnecessary crap. 😩 It is so unhealthy and toxic! For the greater good and happiness and wellbeing of humanity I hope it comes soon! 🫶🏼🙏🏼

the dark lip liner with clear or beige lip gloss is huge in the latinx and BIPOC community, and it looks gorgeous - Alexa Demie (euphoria) has been doing it as an homage to Selena and it has deep cultural significance. I am over hailey bieber and kylie jenner treating these communities traditions as trends - but it literally is so stunning on medium - deep skin tones.

I really want to see the term "anti-aging" go away! I want to see more normalization around aging, especially towards women. The hostility that women in particular experience if they start to "look their age" (do we even know what a 30, 40, 50 y/o etc. is supposed to look like?) is insane. I would much prefer to see discussions surrounding natural, healthy, graceful aging. To be blunt, I'm happy to be aging because otherwise I'd be dead. Don't get me wrong, I have a pretty specific skincare routine and I do use a retinoid, vitamin c, peptides, etc, but it's because I really want my skin to be healthy and happy, and I want to be confident in my skin and age gracefully.

    • @immahulagirl

Wow your attitude on this topic is so refreshing. Anti-aging really is a silly term. I enjoy skincare but my objective is to look good for the age I am. I 10,000% agree about body type trends! It's so messed up to make body types trendy. It's not something that we can take on and off like makeup or clothing or a hairstyle. Our body shapes are influenced by so many things, one of the main things being genetics. I also am a slim woman with wider hips compared to the rest of me. There's nothing I can do to change my bones, and I shouldn't have to for the sake of what other people want to look at or to fit in better. I keep myself active, take care of my skin, and eat reasonably, and that's all I'm doing in terms of what my body looks like lol. I personally am opting out of any procedures because I know the tides will change and I'll probably regret any surgery or injection I'd get.

First you’re too skinny, then you aren’t skinny enough, then your butt isn’t big enough and the 16 year old FOR SURE pays attention to all these things. I only go every couple of years and it’s funny, because all of my friends that also get filler always comment on mine. I let them settle a LOT between appointments so I’ve retained natural shape with a LITTLE extra juice. Most people don’t even know. And something you don’t always hear about, is how the product can migrate. I had that issue and got dissolved and I have been a lot more modest ever since and it looks so much better. Fun video! I was doing skin cycling 5 years ago before it had a name. The reason for that is because I have very sensitive skin and just can't use these active's every single day. I would use a retinoid one night use hydrating serums the next night to recover and then the third night copper peptides because even those irritate my skin. I could only do a mild vitamin C twice a week and salicylic acid once a week. I wanted all those ingredients in my routine because of fighting adult acne, melasma, and aging. Anyone who can use all those actives everyday is a very blessed and has no need for skin cycling. I'm grateful I figured out a way to get all those products in each week without damaging my skin or my barrier and I'm thrilled to say that all my skin problems have resolved as a result. I just find it funny that it's so popular now and has a name. Makes me feel less alone in the struggle

Sally Beauty carried an amazing one called Miracle 7 that I used for years. They discontinued it and I'm so upset! I use a knockoff of It's a 10 from Walmart but it is so perfume-y. It works well but I miss the a Miracle 7 so much!
